With ToroHealth Damage Indicators, damage given, received, or mitigated will be displayed as a number that pops off of the entity.
Also, health bars will appear in the top left corner for the entity in the player's crosshairs.
Customization options are available for changing the color of the damage numbers and the display style of the health bar (Compact or Standard). I will soon be adding options to re-position the health bars and may make some visual tweaks to them.
I like this better than damage indicators, but I use 1.7.10
Why, thank you! That is high praise. I used Damage Indicators on 1.7.10 and loved it. Missed it when we moved to 1.9.4, so made it myself. I'm striving to make it as good as the original.
I have an update coming soon that will add Minecraft-style hearts and a 3d rendering of the mob. Hopefully, you will like the new style.
Actually this mod seems to have alot of potential to be just as popular as Damage Indicators. It's like a spiritual successor to it. However I am waiting till it updates to 1.10 to really test it out.

As soon as 1.10 Forge is stable, I intend to make a 1.10 version. I'll let you know when it's available.
I am liking the mod but there is a bug where if there is a mob with over 1024 health then the green part of the health bar will pop out of the box (if set to numeric) and if set to hearts it will only display a max amount of hearts for 1024 hp and there will be excessive amounts of hearts.
For a Suggestion It would be cool that you make it so that it can detect criticals too and have it so that when you strike a critical it will either have a pop up that says "Critical" in a different color along side the number like in Damage Indicators OR make it so that the number changes color when you score a critical hit.
I am in the middle of moving across the country and changing jobs, so I haven't had much free time to work on this mod, but it is still supported, yes. Is there something you need in particular?
I will be adding the "Critical!" indicator as suggested by Tankdest22
Hmmm, I like it. If you are aiming to make this similar to the original, you might very well inherit the original fan-base. Anyway, either I didn't look close enough or you're lacking information regarding the config options. So far it only says the default option in the file and nothing (that I've found) on the Forum.

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Is there a way you could make a 1.9.0 version? I want to use this mod with CustomNPCs, but that mod's in 1.9. There's only one other mob health reading mod for 1.9.0 and it's not doing what I need it to do. I'm guessing you've moved by now, but I understand if that isn't done yet.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. You are unable to change the config options or you just want some documentation on what the options do?

there a 1.10 version instead of 1.10.2? Also, incredible mod!
I am currently looking into adding support for previous versions down to 1.8.9. No promises, though. If I do make versions for earlier versions of Minecraft, they will not receive new features or bug fixes (unless it's a major bug). Supporting that many versions of a mod is far too much effort and pulls me away from adding new features and new mods.

Documentation on what the other options actually are and what they do. Currently the config file says what the default options are but doesn't say what the other options are. Putting the other options in the config file as comments would be handy if you haven't already.

There seems to be a bug with infinite damage splats on any mobs created with the CustomNPC mod, that are using models from anywhere but CustomNPC's files. This includes vanilla and modded models. The only correlation I have made is that the damage they visually take is equal to the additional health they have in comparison to their naturally spawned counterpart. Example; the cow takes 10 damage repeatedly because he has 20 health when a Cow naturally only has 10. If created with 10 health, this bug does not occur. Is there some kind of solution to remedy this that you know of? I'd like to use your mod, but this makes it impossible to create custom mobs. Keep in mind that this damage is strictly visual. They are not really taking the damage it appears they are. I've also included an example screenshot. Thank you for your time.
This mod is on my list of ESSENTIAL Mods! EVERYONE should be running it. They've got support all the way up to Minecraft 1.12! It's an Alpha build release) but, they've got it and it's on their CurseForge site:

Can you add support for 1.8.9 please?
Is this mod being developed at all?

Versions 1.8.9, 1.9.0, 1.10.0, and 1.11 have all been added. Enjoy!

What is the hotkey to view the options for this mod?
