In Biomes O' Plenty, I was in a Redwood Forest biome and heard thunder and rain sounds (It was not raining in game). I could have been near a cave and that's why it would make those noises, due to the bug I am going to mention in the next sentence. And here is the bug- I hear thunder in caves. What's up with that? I think you might have used some wrong sounds.
I was also in a Lush Swamp biome and there were no sounds.
Yes, from time to time you can hear thunders in background, i'm already trying to fix that.
And i also fixed the Lush Swamp biome, but you can add it already to your config file, just add "swamp;" to swampland and swampland-night.
EDIT:
Already released v1.2.1, just delete ambientsounds.cfg in your config folder and install the update.
I've been loving this mod for ages, but I just jumped from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2 and it no longer works properly It's *trying* to load up the sound files, but only manages to start them for a few seconds at a time, randomly, so the majority of the time it's silent. It seems as if something is interfering with the files playing constantly. Any ideas? The silence makes me a sad panda

Ok?
Which version of forge and of my mod are you using?
Hm, honestly i have no idea why there should be issues like that. I'm using AmbientSounds myself and it works perfect. Could you maybe make a video about it?
All the mod does is make a random sound for a few seconds, then go to complete silence for quite some time, before attempting to make another random sound for a few more seconds. The only way to get the sound to happen for longer than that is to be flying higher than treetop level, and even that is just an extended version of the original problem, and it only works when the game is initially loaded. The underwater sound is also distorted, sounding like a heartbeat, becoming the normal sound only after rising up out of the water, and again only for a few seconds.

Ok, maybe update your sound driver? It's definitely not an issue of my mod. Do vanilla sounds work?
I was wondering if you have plans to put this and your other mods on curse. Your mods a truly great, but a lot of people only look on curseforge for mods and so never see them.
I just bought a new Asus B85M-G system with a gtx-960 graphics etc and Realtek® ALC887-VD2 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC sound. Don't know why it would be my system? Vanilla sounds work fine.
EDIT: Found the culprit, an "unofficial" port of botania to 1.10. According to the author of that mod, Botania's original author will be returning sometime in the future to continue work on it, so for now I'll be removing it. If, when the 1.10 version becomes "official", if it still conflicts, I'll let them know as well. This mod is great

This might be a dumb question but it downloaded as a .zip file instead of a jar file. When I unzipped it, it contained a couple folders such as assets. How do I install this if it's not a jar file? Sorry, I am new at mods but I am pretty good with computers so it shouldn't be difficult to explain to me how I go about installing.

Thank you.
You don't have to extract anything, just drag the zip into your mods folder.

No The mod worked beautifully on my old system with minecraft 1.7.10, but on the new system with 1.10 it's (for me) broken
Yeah, would be an idea, otherwise i have no idea how to fix it. Maybe Minecraft does not have enough RAM?

OK nice to hear it

Well that was a fast response. Glad to know it's that easy. I wasn't aware we could put zip files into the mods folder.
Thanks for getting back to me!
