Can you mark stained glass and glass panes as translucent blocks ? If you do it, the problem with the deleted shaders effects when you look throught stained glass and glass panes will be deleted ( I think that's the way used by chocapic13 in the V6 Beta of his shaders to delete this problem )

-updated distant blur dof when raining
-2 additional torch color
-you can disable waving objects again
-increased specular strength for blooming

-some emissive blocks glows on hand

I want to use these shaders. If there for 1.9 and not for 1.8.9 please let me know.
I'm playing v51p7 on OptiFine_1.9.0_HD_U_B1 and it seems very, very dark in the nether. The contrast is seems super high. Is there a way I can tweak the ambient light to effectively 'turn up the brightness'/'make the unlit areas less dark'? Also, the sky in the nether seems to render as a lovely blue sky, which is odd. I'm not sure how normal these problems are, just curious if there are easy fixes.

2. Since you're using optifine with shader settings, nether is pretty easy to fix.
go to shader settings, change these settings :
Sky > Nether Sky : On
Visual > Godrays : Off
Shadow > Shadows : Off
Can you mark stained glass and glass panes as translucent blocks ? If you do it, the problem with the deleted shaders effects when you look throught stained glass and glass panes will be deleted ( I think that's the way used by chocapic13 in the V6 Beta of his shaders to delete this problem )

if you enable specular reflection, try to enable specular too
First suggestion : can you add normal map support ?
Second suggestion : a ultra version w/ volumetric light and clouds

Possible noob questions incoming:
I'm playing v51p7 on OptiFine_1.9.0_HD_U_B1 and it seems very, very dark in the nether. The contrast is seems super high. Is there a way I can tweak the ambient light to effectively 'turn up the brightness'/'make the unlit areas less dark'? Also, the sky in the nether seems to render as a lovely blue sky, which is odd. I'm not sure how normal these problems are, just curious if there are easy fixes.

2. Since you're using optifine with shader settings, nether is pretty easy to fix.
go to shader settings, change these settings :
Sky > Nether Sky : On
Visual > Godrays : Off
Shadow > Shadows : Off
Sky > Clouds : Off

Edit* Nevermind I found the error. the circular and hexagonal brokeh on at the same time make that happen
