I don't think you need to have it larger, to be honest. The times you need to see even further, the world map mod does it's job.
The Z mode is also affected by your minimap zoom, by the way. Try zooming out.

Enable waypoints in the settings.

Update 1.12.6 (MC 1.11.2, 1.11, 1.10.2, 1.10, 1.9.4, 1.8.9, 1.7.10):

+ Added a new config option to allow teleportation to waypoints even when the selected world isn't the current one (dangerous!).
* Graphical settings button is now disabled by default for new users. The button can be enabled/disabled through the config file located in the Minecraft instance's config folder.
* Better config file organisation.

It's a mulitplayer server named Wynncraft

Seems like an incompatibility to me. I will test different combinations and see what's causing the issue.
If you find out before I do, definitely let me know.

Update 1.12.7 (MC 1.11.2, 1.11, 1.10.2, 1.10, 1.9.4, 1.8.9, 1.7.10):

* Fixed deathpoint not keeping its "disabled" state when "keep old deathpoints" option is off.
* Fixed snowy mountains looking completely white with no slopes when terrain depth is enabled. A similar fix is coming to the world map mod soon.

The large minimap size is just, ummmm, large. You can put it on auto now. That's how text looks at "normal" scale on a 1080p monitor.
But I can see that the "auto" scale setting looks smaller on a 4k monitor. Border and text scaling isn't as straight-forward as it may seem but I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: I think the guy who helped me test the 4k support had bigger screen resolution than you. I need to consider that too.

It does depend on the window size but I can only scale it 2x, anything in between will look distorted I think. I will try 1.5x though. It might look fine.
Does it currently look good on fullscreen?
