update: just threw a bunch of jewelry items into my swimming pool and they all came out nice and shiny..thank you for the info.
update on block issue: I was able to break into the first two pyramids I happened across but once I got to the third, the large limestone bricks were indestructible. I am curious, does this have to do with a pyramid being totally excavated vs. partially buried? The first two I broke into were totally exposed while the next few were in different stages of burial.
I have not noticed this issue in the libraries, just on Pyramids and ruins...
Yeah, the large limestone bricks in Libraries (which BTW, are called Palaces) Pyramids and ruins are indestructable. All other types of limestone can be destroyed without any trouble. I'm actually worried about this; you can make the large limestone bricks in your workbench, and therefore make a "bedrock" base. The main problem being the nuisance when miss-clicked.

That is the issue. sometimes these blocks are actually destructible. Like I said, I have gone in the Atum twice and busted my way into a cuople of pyramids and then once I get to a third pyramid, they are indestructible. I think this is also causing my item frames to glitch and become indestructible as well as bonded to whatever block they are placed on, making the base block indestructible also. I was using nether brick with an item frame containing a heraldic scroll from Craft Heraldry. Could not retrieve item from frame, could not knock the frame off of the wall or destroy the nether brick. Reloaded the game and it was corrected but on a hunch, I went to the Atum, busted into two pyramids with no problems, got to the third, voila, indestructible again...I returned to the over world and had the same issue occur with the item frame.
And I have yet to see any mobs spawn in Atum other than a random wolf in the desert and the pyramid bosses upon opening the chest.I have been adjusting config settings but to no avail. I am sure these are minor issues that can be easily corrected.
Concerning the Palaces. I was unaware that these are supposed to be indestructible as well. I have leveled several of them, looted all the books, wood and stone from them. No mobs within, not hidden loot, just a lot of book cases. hmmm, interesting.

Looked back into the indestructible blocks, it's strange, sometimes, they're destructible, and sometimes they aren't, The latter being especially in the beginning.
Have you tried reinstalling all mods one by one?
I don't know, that was simply guesswork. So far, I've solely done the coloured glass... And some cool stuff for a future update.
The palace is the place where cool stuff is being introduced. Look forward to it!
oh i thought the palaces were libraries, my bad lol. so why were the palaces, pyramids and ruins made indestructible? how can i reload my atum dimension now that the structure spawning has been changed? also what is the scroll for?
btw you done a wonderful job on the stained crystal glass, it'll look awesome once i've got round to re-doing all my church windows in its

It's a palace according to the code. Glassmaker found it whilst scrolling through the code and decided to see what it is, and decided to introduce it. It would make sense to be indestructible, because that way, people can't break their way into the Pyramids, escaping death through fire. I'm afraid it's not an option to reset a specific dimension. The scroll is added as amusement for the devel- It's a secret. You're welcome.
Also, the pharao's chest will be replaced in a future update with something that makes more sense.

IDK, I have reloaded all of my mods and lowered config settings but I have yet to see anything spawn in the ATUM other than the pharaohs/ mummies in the pyramid and a very random wolf. I am curious if stuff like aquaculture, pam's harvest mod and/or moc are messing up the spawn rate for the Atum. This is getting to be a lot like work....:)

Just throwing this out there for player consideration. I use MoC as my primary mod. If you are familiar with MoC, you know that it adds several creatures to the game, including many that can be mounted and ridden, carried in amulets for transport and incase of the horses and a few others, bred to create new ones. Well, I have gone to the Atum several times with a tamed pet in my amulet. I have ridden my horses across the sands for days searching for baddies..no joy. The real fun came when I took a tame and saddled scorpion with me. Riding that scorpion over the dunes was one of the funniest events I have ever witnessed in Minecraft. Funny as hell but effective. The scorpion make short work of the hills, mountains and valleys as it can climb vertically even with a rider. But, if you want maximum efficiency while exploring, I suggest a tamed and saddled Wyvern from Moc. If only I could find a camel somewhere in the desert...hint hint
Until I get my config settings worked out, I will continue to explore and loot the Atum but once those mobs begin to appear, I will no longer be in exploration mode but rather survival...
- Fixes Limestone large bricks unbreakable (Important Note: any limestone large brick placed in the world before this update will be unbreakable, please remove them before you update, and use the recipe to exchange them with breakable ones after the update).
I'm having issues with some of the armor:
Ras' Glory (It doesn't give night vision or let me see farther in Atum)
Sekhmets' Wrath (Not providing protection against fire)
Horus' Flight (Not giving increased jump height or protection from fall damage)
Isis' Embrace (Not giving regeneration)
Thanks for all of your help.
Just uploaded the new version and I am still having these issues with the armor. Thanks for all of your help.

I also have mo creatures as well as orespawn and here is what is happening with my atum spawns:
I do get a lot of atum mobs everywhere, the thing is they are all the same mobs. I spent 4 hours in the dimmension and all I kept seeing was mummies.
However, once I left and came back, I started getting stone soldiers spawning everywhere, but just them. No other mobs.
Then the next time I came it was just barbarians everywhere.
I also seem to get battletowers spawning in atum so that comes with many zombies, skeletons, and spiders along with ones from special mobs and the tower guardian boss.

Lois: Together we can do anything: face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Peter: Yeah, climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone. And not just our phone, Lois, other people's phones. Decent phones, God-fearing phones, phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!
Brian: What the hell are you talking about?
Very nice looking mod, i really enjoy the desert :-)

You can simply delete a dimension from your savegame folder and when you re-enter the world will be regenerated from scratch. Back up before of course.
The general feel of Atum wasn't planned to be directly Egyptian, the influence includes Egyptian, North African, and Mesopotamian influences. The actual kingdom itself was Egyptian, but the bandits and eventually the villagers, were going to have a more traditional Arabian/North African feel.
Hence why Bandits use Scimitars and not Khopesh. The Empire in the world fell long ago, what remains is the many peoples from this world that have moved into the area since.
Dude what is that axe from ypu have as your profile pic.
Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
The biome types of Atum's desert just HOT, SPARSE, DRY, SAVANNA, PLAINS, maybe it should add DESERT and WASTELAND,prevent the birds add by other mob spawn in it

Hello, I was wondering if you could please reupload version 0.6.0 for minecraft 1.6.4, as the dropbox link does not seem to have the file.
There's a version on forge. Go to the download part of the OP and press "Other downloads". It should be on page 2
Atum 0.6.60 is out on curse
Change log:
- Fixes registering block and items order
- Fixes Limestone large bricks unbreakable (Important Note: any limestone large brick placed in the world before this update will be unbreakable, please remove them before you update, and use the recipe to exchange them with breakable ones after the update).
- Fixes Desert wolf sounds.
