So, I'm finally getting a chance to work with this mod for real, and it's really awesome so far. Talk about flavor galore, with spinning and steam and brass and awesome.
My only comment so far, honestly, is that fillers seem to be a bit slow, but I freely admit that this may be largely because I only have a single boiler going, but the filler isn't using up all the steam in my network, either, so...I have no idea, but it does seem slow. Filling my shiny new drill and shovel definitely took quite some time. I definitely think I'm going to try for a exosuit as soon as I can, though, and have that carry me through for a while.
Question, do any of the exosuit upgrades grant uphill step assist? It could be that I am blind or missed it, but I didn't see one that did.

The filler uses all steam in the network that it's granted. Steam is filled using a pressure system, so if you have a very large system, there will be less pressure in each machine. The logic goes like this:
Each machine, including the filler, has a capacity value. When added to a steam network, this is added to the network capacity. To find out how much steam the filler has, it decides how much of the steam it is given, for example if the filler has 10k SU capacity, and the network has a total of 100k SU capacity, the filler will grab 10% of the network's steam, rounded down. If the network has 9 steam, the filler can't function. If you have a larger network, this rounding down is going to hit you harder, you may want to cut down on excess tanks for now.
Let me emphasize the pressure does not effect filling speed or capacity, the filler just needs to be allotted some steam.

Flaxbeard, some feedback if I may? I love the mod and am powering many other machines with the steam power (the bellows are cool). One thing if I may request it is in the future, do you think it is possible to make a boiler that either turns off with redstone, or make a pipe that is sort of a one-way pipe or vent? The reason is that I am finding it very annoying to have to add charcoal to the flash boiler manually to keep it from rupturing the disc. If there was a pipe that was one-way (or even able to vent after too much pressure until the pressure falls again), I would not have to keep adding. Real steam boilers have a pressure-relief feature like this. I have been using rupture discs but the problem with that is the entire system depressurizes if they go. I figured out a way to sort of regulate the pressure with a BC void pipe but I hate how it looks. Just wondering. Also, the armor is AWESOME!!

Thank you very much for the answer! I'm pretty certain, then, that the reason my tools are being filled so slow is because I've only got one boiler. I've got a teeny tiny network right now - only like 10 pipes, one tank, a couple of furnace heaters, a rock smasher setup, and the filler. I'm trying to keep it small because I'm still in my temporary shack-in-the-village while I finish getting my armor and tools and basic materials ready before I move.
I'm definitely looking forward to using the exosuit. I love the mod-integration armor plates, by the way. It's a very nice touch.
I removed it to remove the capability to make your system completely safe without effort. Rupture discs exist for a reason, to let out steam, but they have a penalty. I felt that letting users, with one comparator and some dust, solve all pressure problems now and forever, was too easy. Instead, players must either suffer the penalties of rupture discs or be forced to innovate autonomous systems using droppers etc to input precise amounts of fuel into boilers. The latter system is possible, and it allows you to stay at a certain pressure level without any negative repercussions, but does take some innovation.

Not sure what mod already had it registered, my guess is Traincraft. Maybe you can prepend your stuff with "fsb" for next release? Really though, Forge should handle that instead of expecting everyone to use 100% unique names for all their TE's...

This is both FSP and RI's fault, it's caused by a duplicate Tile Entity ID. I'm a bit swamped with IRL stuff right now, I can put out a fix but it might be a while. If you could, tell the RI dev about it so he/she can add a mod prefix to his TE ids, hopefully he/she will be able to get a build out.

I did try that, using mekanism pipes, using enderIo, I couldn't get any of my IC2 steam into the flaxbeard system

Resonant Induction is very broken currently, so I'm gonna start a new world with it removed and try this anyway
