Hi I'm not sure if this is a bug or an aesthetic choice, since its the first shader I have used but it seems like the red inside lava effect is missing.

Thats normal. Lava acts the same way as water with shaders.

We cant have lava fog with shaders because theres no way to tell when we're in lava

You need to make the ground with the wet effect when is raining, the torch lighting and glowstone in the hand, and this shader it's complete.
This ultra shaderpack is running in my pc pretty well more than 40 fps and I can't believe it lol because I tried other shaderpacks with less quality and were at 20 fps or 30.
Also I like the diagonal rain when it's raining, I was bored always raining from up in straight line

Just enable Dynamic Handlight if you're using OptiFine.

I'm TheCoolSteveMan, you can call me CSM for short!
I'm pretty sure you can, since it's possible for water.
No, we cant. Im a shader developer. I know that we cant do it. Why else does every other shader not have lava fog either? Because we cant do it. Dont assume things

Well I'm confused as to how it works in water but not lava.
Because there's literally a uniform variable passed into shaders by optifine called "isEyeInWater". It's set to 1 if you're in water, and 0 otherwise. There's no variable for the block at your head position, this is the only data that shaders have access to. It's not that optifine can't check for lava too -it can-, it just doesn't give that data to shaders.

OptiFine uses basically the same code for shaders as karyonix's version right? So the same thing will happen if you use that? It should be addressed by both author's if that's the case.
issue when trying to use any chocapic13 shaders. when going into the shaders option while in a world and selecting any shader, the menu begins to flash and locks up. this does not happen in the start menu. rejoining a world with any shaders enabled causes same issue while loading. disabling shaders while in start menu resolves issue until i try to enable a shader again.
i am using optifine. have tried using previous versions (1.8.8 to 1.11.2)
have tried using all listed shaders from light to extreme, including some older versions and betas.
have consulted multiple youtube videos for reference and even uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft.

Seems much less like a shader problem, and more like a system problem? do you play other games besides minecraft? have you tried other shaders? what size is your PSU?

i have many other games like skyrim special edition, no mans sky, garry's mod, ect. my power supply is a corsair cx650. i have no problem running any of those games.
edit: i have not used any other shaders, besides some that i have on og skyrim
I have an odd problem...when I use these shaders I get kind of a double vision. I could see the shaders and run it with a good 40-50 fps using ultra. Althought I also tried extreme and still had the same issue. It's like I have another set of eyeballs looking at a slightly different angle, don't know how to explain this...so here's a pic. As you can see I'm also running mods. Any ideas?

First question, what's your Operating System? Windows? MAC? Linux?
I feel like it's a MAC, if it's a MAC, they don't work with Chocapic13 V6 yet. Chocapic13 is still working on it, maybe V7 or V6.1 but who knows.

I'm pretty sure you can, since it's possible for water.

Thats not how the shadersmod works.
Like Strum355 says, its not possible.
