With the new robot crafting system of the dev versions you achieved one incomparable level of customization. Congratulations.
Anyways, can you add one message informing ( just informing ) if one recommended part ( screen, graphic card, keyboard, disk drive, inventory upgrade, angel upgrade ) is missing in the assembler?
Also, sometimes when I reload my world I can't access one server with remote terminals unless I turn it on and off ( note that I do nothing other than just exit and go back ). Maybe this is the timeout config in work???
And please tell me how to use the new inventory controller ( tool slot ).
What about one Item Scanner that tells you what pixels of one item are being used( non-transparent ), as well as the resolution?
Just for fun with the Hologram Projectors!
Thanks.

Just a few questions about greg compability: Does OC support gregtech 1.7 energy system and can it read it? :X He's redone a lot of gregtech so he has it's own energy system and storage and I would love to see some compability if there isn't (I don't know that's why I asked :X)^^
That seems like a bug, gather your logs/screenshots and post it on the issue tracker
Just informing, its only on dev versions, I believe. I use java 8, but that never was one problem to me.
Also I had one crash after turning computers off and on several times for 3 seconds ( 5 times ), then running one program that called one component I had not installed yet ( hologram projector ). The log said that the problem was not with Minecraft, but with external game libraries ( Eris, I believe ). I will post the log ASAP.
How can I disable the timeout config? Seems like if I turn it to zero, it will instead turn off instantly on unloaded chunks.

I can't life without persistence! Buehuehehehe > I, crying a lot.
Edit: Everything works ok, except the Remote Terminal ( even the server it is bound to works ), then I got one random crash. The most weird thing is that none of the computers are crashed. Anyways, if I got another crash, I will try to only deactivate memory limit to see if it works.
I can't understand why I got one crash if everything is working. Hum.. maybe the Native library isn't bugged, but corrupted when it had been built?

Using OpenComputers-MC1.7.2-1.2.12.144
Forge: 1012
I am getting a robot that I can power up and turn on but not input commands.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
What do you mean with can not input commands? Lua commands? If so, you have to use the lua interpreter, by executing lua, or create/edit your own program. If you can't write, then IDK the problem, because I use 1.6.4 1.3.0.396 dev.

I suspect that it is not being loaded. How do I check?
If I want to send a continuous redstone signal how would I do that with comptuercraft?
Do not ask programming help on minecraft forums s mods section. This is not computercraf, but works with LUA too, so look at the videos on the first page.

I suppose I should be happy. After updating to the dev version (MC1.7.2-1.3.0.170) I am at least now getting an error message:
And it turns itself off
You need one openos disk for boot now, in one Disk Drive. If you are using robots, then you need to craft the robot in the assembler with one openos disk, or craft it with one disk drive to put it later. Oh, you sure need to put Graphics Cards, Screens and Keyboards in the robot too, or else, well, the same thing that happens when you forget one of these for a computer or server, will happen.

Some time ago, despite the peripheral API yet being implemented, it was not possible because of something called player LUA, but now you can use them also as components. Things like CC modems, monitors, or ICBM Launcher Monitors and Cruise Launchers ( used as CC peripherals ) etc... have always been compatible since a long time ago.
Download OpenComponents too, and use the adapter block to connect them. If you use one analyzer in the adapter next to one sensor or glass bridge, you can see the component name and address. Also, you can use one adapter to up to 6 peripherals ( 1 for each side ), so you only need one.
Yeah, actually, you can use any CC peripheral as one OC component using the Adapter block.
The information of OpenPeripherals can be found as documentation in-game. However, the documentation can only be accessed via CC computers using:
docs <side> To get a method list
or
docs <side> <method> to get information about the method.
where <side> is the side of the peripheral you want information of.
Sometimes, like with the sensor, tanks, chests, etc... there's a lot of information being return when you use it. So you can serialize the table you get with textutils.serialize(table) to know each table entry name, like "Type", "Health", or "ID" of chest and tanks items, etc...

Had no idea this was even a thing. Happy to report allocating more seems to have solved the problem. Thanks a bunch. I wonder why Linux isn't affected by this.
As previously suggested, a wired or wireless computer would add a lot of value to this mod (not that it doesn't already). And after comparing showcases of this mod and ComputerCraft, I think that I prefer this mod, and it is a lot more user-friendly in my opinion. However, even though it is probably not necessary, the idea of having a wireless computer/phone kind of thing is very tempting. Good job on your mod! Also, have you considered integrating this mod with a mod called WebDisplays? Link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1930372-162164-forge-web-displays-browse-on-the-internet-in-minecraft/
If its already in OpenComponents, then please forgive me.

Mobile computers are something I'm considering, but won't make any promises about As for the web displays, it's not a mod I'm using, so it's not something I'll prioritize. I'll gladly accept pull requests to OpenComponents adding some interaction, though
I... I.. can't charge my robots.. I put them next to the charger (which is at 100% charge, tested with analyzer) and they simply won't charge! They stay at 0 charge, then i put the solar upgrade and they can charge, but still not by the charger.
Am I doing something wrong? I really'd like an answer..
PS: I'd put screenshots, but I'm too lazy to do that.
PSS: They show some green particles while standing near, but they still don't charge.

No, but you can use Openperipheral's sensor, which is even better, as one component.

where <side> is the side of the peripheral you want information of.
Sometimes, like with the sensor, tanks, chests, etc... there's a lot of information being return when you use it. So you can serialize the table you get with textutils.serialize(table) to know each table entry name, like "Type", "Health", or "ID" of chest and tanks items, etc...
example:
sensor = peripheral.wrap("top")
tablename = sensor.getPlayerData("yourname")
serializedtable = textutils.serialize(tablename)
print(serializedtable)
Anyways, if you have any doubt, just ask me and I will make you one functional example.

Me and another user are having no problems on the other hand, so this only affects two of us.
We've tried deleting the config, reinstalling the mod and etc.
No player has crafted any OpenComputers parts. The only thing OpenComputers has in the world is anything generated naturally (esp the disks). My friend also crashed running a fresh creative world.
Appears to be something with permgen memory... Try updating to java 8 or alocating more permgen memory.
I am a prehistoric histories and manga / anime fan.
Had no idea this was even a thing. Happy to report allocating more seems to have solved the problem. Thanks a bunch. I wonder why Linux isn't affected by this.
If its already in OpenComponents, then please forgive me.
Did you delete your configs? Sounds like the computer doesn't have enough RAM to boot.
Mobile computers are something I'm considering, but won't make any promises about As for the web displays, it's not a mod I'm using, so it's not something I'll prioritize. I'll gladly accept pull requests to OpenComponents adding some interaction, though
What item are you holding in your hand when right clicking the computer?

Am I doing something wrong? I really'd like an answer..
PS: I'd put screenshots, but I'm too lazy to do that.
PSS: They show some green particles while standing near, but they still don't charge.
