EndPlus has been updated to 1.7.0 for Minecraft 1.7.10!
EndPlus has reached 3000+ downloads! Thanks for trying my mod, comment if you like it (or if you don't)!
EndPlus was released 2 years ago at 8:01 AM on November 28, 2013!
The mod reached 1000 downloads at 2:18:59 AM server time on November 15, 2014.
Ever thought that the End was a bit empty, or that the Nether needed something more? Well, then this might just be the mod you want.
EndPlus adds new ores, tools, armor and more to the Nether and End dimensions. These ores are Flamerite in the Nether, and Enderite in the End. You can craft Gold and Flamerite together to make Flamerite-Gold. Flamerite-Gold tools and armor have automatic random enchantments. Enderite and Flamerite also have their own tool and armor sets. The End can also generate infinitely, and small patches of Ender Dirt with Ender Wart growing in them can generate in The End. The End terrain is also changed, with bluish Ender Grass and Ender Trees growing around the End. The Nether is now layered, with Soul Dirt on the surface, wild Nether Wart, and Umbrite Ore in the upper layer, and Netherrack on the surface and Flamerite Ore in the lower layer. The terrain of the Nether, except for the ground and ceiling, is made of Nether Stone. Essence blocks generate underground in each dimension. They are currently just decorative. The End also now has a day-night cycle like the Overworld, but no sun visible in the sky.
Quest Villagers can be found when the population of a village naturally increases, or gotten through Mob Spawners and Spawn Eggs, but they do not spawn naturally with the world. They give the player quests to find a structure containing a certain Quest Block and bring the block back to the villager for a reward. An item known as the Quest Compass points to the correct structure for the most recently activated quest.
There is a biome in the Overworld called the Enchanted Hills biome. It includes yellowish-gold colored grass and leaves. However, these are not normal grass and leaves. Normal grass and leaves in this biome will still be the colors you expect. These are Enchanted Grass and Enchanted Oak and Enchanted Birch leaves. Underground, a new ore known as Golderald spawns. Golderald can be used in making the Golderald Wand.
Ender Redstone Ore generates in the End. It can be used to make things like wireless redstone, block breakers, and block placers. However, the wireless redstone still requires a line of sight between the emitter and receiver.
Mob spawners, spawn eggs, and monster egg blocks are now craftable using a new ore found in the Nether called Umbrite. The Granite from the 1.8 snapshots has also been added to the Overworld, with the textures from the snapshots, but with different generation. Also, Granite can only be mined with a stone pickaxe, rather than any pickaxe like in the snapshots. Cavernstone had also been added to the Overworld. It can rarely drop valuable items, but can also spawn Cave Spiders. Special Ender Blocks can be crafted with Obsidian and either an Ender Pearl or an Eye of Ender.
But such powerful ores are not left unguarded. In the End, a mob, called the Dragonfire, can spawn and is always hostile. It drops an Eye of Ender.
Combining Nether Quartz with a Gold Nugget gives you Infused Quartz. It can be made into tools with the durability and strength of iron, and the speed of gold. It can also be made into an armor set with a strength between iron and diamond.
There also is a new food, Ender wart. It must be grown on Ender Dirt. Once full-grown, it can be harvested like any other crop. The item given, Ender Wart, can be cooked to make Cooked Ender Wart, which makes it more useful.
There is also a flower called Shadowbloom in the End. It is purely decorative for now.
Additionally, there is a structure made of Enderwood and Enchanted Ender Obsidian with a chest inside that generates in the End.
Tools are crafted as normal with sticks and resources.
Armor is crafted as normal.

1) Install Minecraft Forge (I developed the mod with 10.13.0.1177, so it is guaranteed to work)
2) Run Minecraft to create a mods folder
3) Place the EndPlus-1.7.0-mc-1.7.10.jar file into your mods folder inside your minecraft folder
Note: The mod connects to a server every time you open a world in order to check its version.
The URL the version checker polls also increments a counter every time it is requested, giving me a rudimentary play counter. Note that there is no player data sent: it is purely a count of how many times that URL has been requested.
Public Modpack Rules (you have to follow these if you put my mod into your modpack)
Credit me (Valiec2019) as being the mod's developer.
Provide a link to this thread. You can use either the actual URL of the forum thread or the tinyurl I have created (tinyurl.com/EndPlus).
If you are doing something that will allow you to make any money off of your modpack (e.g. using adf.ly), whether or not you have been or are about to be actually paid (e.g. adf.ly doesn't pay until you have a lot of downloads I think) ask permission about doing it first and wait for a response before implementing it (you can distribute the modpack without the possibility of making money from it until you get permission or if you don't get permission however).
Note: Donations don't count as "making money", as long as they are completely optional and do not affect the modpack in any way (donations affecting gameplay is an absolute no, ask me if it affects cosmetic stuff).
Another note: You do not need explicit permission if you aren't making money, but still please PM me (if you really don't want to, you don't have to) to tell me that you are using my mod (I just am curious what modpacks it's in), but in this case (just a notice, not a permission request), you do not have to wait for a response before distributing the pack.
Private modpack rules are the same, except you don't need to PM me if you aren't making money off it (though it would still be nice if it's used by a lot of people on a large server).
Modpack suggestions (you don't have to follow these, but in most cases it would improve the gameplay, but if you want to, ignore these)
Don't completely override the Nether or End worldgen.
Make sure the End stays infinite.
Don't break Vertical Pseudobiomes (The vertical terrain variation thing in the Nether).
If you remove a crafting recipe because you want someone to find an item in the world (e.g. in loot chests like in Phicksur's Explorer's Modpack), make sure it can actually be found in said chests. If you made it uncraftable because you want the item to be inaccessible, leave it inaccessible. Thanks for getting me to think of this, Phicksur!
Modpack rules only apply if you actually distribute the pack with EndPlus in it. Just clarifying in case I accidentally scared anyone off there by making them think these rules apply just because you are running EndPlus with other mods or adding it to your personal copy of a modpack you play.

EndPlus has been updated to 1.3.1 and is compatible with Minecraft 1.7.2!
Content Changes:
Flamerite-Gold tools now have random enchantments
A new block called Soul Dirt is available in the creative menu
Lucite Ore generates underground at similar depths to gold and drops Lucite Crystals when mined
Umbrite and lucite crystals give useful potion effects, with Umbrite giving more powerful effects, but it has a 1/9 chance of backfiring and giving you the Nausea effect for 1 minute and 30 seconds
However, the biggest change is the new compatibility with Minecraft 1.7.2.
Also, there were some bugs in 1.3.0, and this version fixes them. This does not include the complete incompatibility with Minecraft 1.7.2, that was because the link was incorrect and was actually downloading 1.2.1, and so was never an actual 1.3.0 bug, but instead a server error that has been resolved. Here is a full list:
Ender Wart looking like a poppy
Mined ores other than Enderite Ore not dropping anything
Nine Flamerite Ingots crafting into a Block of Umbrite
Nine Umbrite Crystals crafting into a Block of Flamerite
"Roughly 95% of Minecraft players hate Villagers and would be very happy if they were removed. If you are one of the 5% who actually like villagers, copy this into your signature." -RainbowGirl
It took a while again, but here it is. EndPlus has been updated to 1.4.0!
In this update you will find major changes to the Nether and End terrain generation, adding Ender Grass and Ender Trees to the End, as well as Soul Dirt to the Nether.
Also, I've decided that diamonds were under-powered, and therefore diamond blocks generate as frequently as granite in the Overworld and End!
April Fools!
Added Ender Trees
Added Ender Trees to End world generation
Added Ender Wood Logs, which craft into Dark Oak Planks

I really like that you think that my mod is fun to play!
Also, you are the 174'th person ever to download my mod.
I've been working on this mod for quite a while and there's still quite a bit more more to come. So, check back soon for more (I'm getting close to done on 1.4.3, which will have new content)!

This mod looks promising. Gonna give it a try. If I find any bugs I will report! It's surprising how few mods there are that add new content to the Nether and The End. :/
Uh oh! The file downloads correctly, but it downloads as a file just named 'latest' with no file type! I renamed it to zip, but might want to fix that
Edit: Okay, some preliminary testing on my creative world because I'm always apprehensive about worldgen changes. But I promise, I do this to help! If I sound like a jerk, I apologize.
1. Found lots of granite and plenty of lucite in new chunks, but seemingly fewer diamonds. Both of these generate where diamonds can also, is it possible that they are taking priority over diamond spawns?
2. Gold-flamerite (i'm in creative, just testing, didn't get this far lol) tools and armor textures as well as ingots are in the assets, but the textures do not show up in game as items. On the body, armor shows up. I take it it the texture names are wrong. Not a huge deal.
Thunderstorm is coming so I have to shut my computer down, power might go out (live in the boonies!). I did explore the Nether a bit so far though and I really like the terrain changes. Nether stone looks nice, the distribution of the new ores looks good, too. And nether wart growing wild! I like The first time I went into the portal my view glitched out and I had to reload the game, but I can't blame that on your mod.
I hope my input helps. I am a fan of this mod so far and would like to help you as much as I can!
1.7.10 is total cake , nocakeing any caked recipe work , tried to make el steel now furnace kick coal out , srsly all mods that was upraded to 1.7.10 is stink cake

Thanks for finding that bug!
It was a bug with how the download was set up on the server side and is now fixed.
It should download as EndPlus-1.4.2.zip now.

The Gold-Flamerite thing is a known bug and will be fixed in the next update, but I'll take a look at the diamond rarity changes. In the Nether, I'm not done with the changes. I only implemented Wild Nether Wart, new Nether Stone gen, and what I call Vertical Pesudobiomes (I made what look like different "biomes" above and below layer 64, but in the code they are the same biome).
I hope you like the rest of the mod!
Edit: Diamonds are definitely rarer with EndPlus than without it.

Oh noes! The diamonds!
What kind of additional changes do you have planned for the Nether? Or is it a surprise? I'm thinking, should I wait to upgrade before I head there in my main world? If there are new worldgen features or such I could miss out. I just remember in my old original 1.0 world every patch I had to go further and further out to get the new stuff. You have no idea how many thousands of blocks I had to travel to get horses when they came out, hahaa...

I do have some worldgen changes planned. They are things like new kinds of Nether plants, moving Nether essence to a much smaller y range, etc. You might want to leave one direction unexplored in your world (or at least less explored) so you don't have to go as far.
And speaking of worldgen changes, 1.4.3 will add essence blocks to every dimension, as well as a new stone type called Cavern Stone in the overworld. 1.5 will also have some End worldgen changes.

Sounds very interesting! I found some of the Nether Essence and I wasn't quite sure what it was for, though it does look cool. I know you've got plans. Looking forward to them!
Also, apologies for all the questions but I'd be remiss if I didn't ask, is the fewer diamonds thing something you think you'll address, or just a sort of side effect of the mod?

Nether essence has no use right now, but it will be very useful in the future! Also, the lack of diamonds is a bug and will be fixed in the next update by moving the granite (and Cavern Stone when it's added) minimum height up to y=16 until I can find a better way of fixing it.

I'm checking out the new version atm! I present my humble feedback.
Diamond spawns seem to be good now. I even found 3 diamond blocks spawn in the middle of cavern stone.
The new blocks in the overworld mesh in nicely with the existing blocks. Adds a lot of variety to vanilla caves. Speaking of caves... Cavern Stone (spoilered as to not give everything away):
Risk vs reward for sure! Nastiest mobs in the game vs. chance at diamonds and other goodies. I like it! It seems to be quite abundant. I really hope I'm not stepping on toes, but once I saw the drops I did a little test. 64 blocks of cavern stone mined and I got: 8 spiders, 3 gold ingots, 1 enderite gem, 2 diamonds, 1 emerald, 1 umbrite crystal, 2 lucite, and 2 coal. Not a bad haul! Is that about right for what you intended?
The Nether looks great, still. So much better than gravel, sand and netherrack.
Finally went to the End and with EndPlus it's so much cooler. A place you might actually want to spend some time. Especially with that tasty enderite ore.
All in all, looking really good! Gonna plug it into my main world and enjoy the heck out of it!

The Cavern Stone drops sound about right.
I like the End too and have a house made of smooth stone with a Nether stone floor built there. I'll have a screenshot up sometime. A tip for mining Enderite ore: it is very rare, so look at the sides of islands rather than branch mining.
Also, just something about how I made the Nether Stone texture. I made it by overlaying the stone texture onto the Netherrack texture and recoloring it. I made the essence texture by tracing faint lines in the Nether Stone texture.
Note: There is one annoying bug that slipped through my testing. All buoy crafting recipes produce the white buoy. I am still trying to figure out why this is happening.
Edit: I've fixed the buoy bug. The fix will appear in the next update.

Hrm.. yes, in the recipe in game (using Craftguide) it only has the white buoy, and shows that any color of wool can be used to make it. I don't know exactly what that type of recipe is called. This might help; the meta data for the wool and the torch is 32767, which might mean it considers any subtype of the block/item to work in the recipe?

Well, then this might just be the mod you want.

Fixed the following bugs:

Modpack suggestions (you don't have to follow these, but in most cases it would improve the gameplay, but if you want to, ignore these)
Modpack rules only apply if you actually distribute the pack with EndPlus in it. Just clarifying in case I accidentally scared anyone off there by making them think these rules apply just because you are running EndPlus with other mods or adding it to your personal copy of a modpack you play.

Content Changes:
However, the biggest change is the new compatibility with Minecraft 1.7.2.
Also, there were some bugs in 1.3.0, and this version fixes them. This does not include the complete incompatibility with Minecraft 1.7.2, that was because the link was incorrect and was actually downloading 1.2.1, and so was never an actual 1.3.0 bug, but instead a server error that has been resolved. In this update you will find major changes to the Nether and End terrain generation, adding Ender Grass and Ender Trees to the End, as well as Soul Dirt to the Nether.
Also, I've decided that diamonds were under-powered, and therefore diamond blocks generate as frequently as granite in the Overworld and End!April Fools!
Added Ender Trees
Added Ender Trees to End world generation
Added Ender Wood Logs, which craft into Dark Oak Planks

Thanks!
I really like that you think that my mod is fun to play!
Also, you are the 174'th person ever to download my mod.
I've been working on this mod for quite a while and there's still quite a bit more more to come. So, check back soon for more (I'm getting close to done on 1.4.3, which will have new content)!

Thanks for finding that bug!
It was a bug with how the download was set up on the server side and is now fixed.
It should download as EndPlus-1.4.2.zip now.

Thanks!
