how do i change the spell tree lock config if its been asked im sorry ive looked tru like 30+ of the pages and am sleeeeeepy yawn sleep time now
config\AM2\SkillConf.cfg is the skill config file.
As for the one locked symbol in the middle of the Utility Skill Tree, it's locked because it's not yet implemented.

I have been playing on the Arcana Craft Server, and I cannot progress past the Slowfall, Leap, Heal, and Regeneration levels of the defense tree. I have not done any of the other trees, but I accidentally clicked all the talents (I'm new to this mod). Is there any reason I cannot progress? I can't get any more defense spells unlocked, and I have the green and blue points required. I'd appreciate any insight!

Sorry to report bugs here, but I can't figure out how to use the bug tracker for the life of me!
Anyway, here goes nothing:
- Sounds don't seem to be functioning at all
- Something is wrong with the Arcane Guardian's hand
- The component "Accelerate" is missing from the guidebook/thauminomicon equivalent (I forget its name!)
- The spell customization gui in which one names and selects an icon for their spell is broken: no icons appear for selection, instead a boxed-in image of a diamond sword is the defaulted and unchangeable icon, and clicking the button to randomize the name crashes the game

Mithion, are you planning on adding more to the spells in terms of aesthetics? I love the mod and its current system but I have a minor quip about how spells don't have that much of impact, at least visually.
One easy option could be adding particle effects to projectile spells. You could even use the existing particle effects from vanilla, it doesn't look off-putting at all. There's fire particle, bonemeal particle, ender particle and splash particle to name a few.
What's the difference between the caps on the Dark and Light Nexuses? (Nexi?)
The dark nexus need sacrifices to work > makes stuff go faster but more dangerously. The light nexus runs on nothing but love and sunshine but makes machines run slower.

I already know what the two nexuses are. I want to know what the differences between the caps for them are. Does the cap on the dark nexus affect anything other than appearance? Is there a difference between using glass or diamond on a light nexus?

In the case of the Light Nexus, at least, the caps are pretty important. Glass-Gold-Diamond increase gains while daylight, but Moonstone is the best, only works at night though due to running on lunar energy.
I haven't really seen too much on the Dark Nexus, but pretty sure each cap type would just be more efficient mob hp to energy upgrades to the previous, except maybe Sunstone (following the logic of Moonstone being a minor mechanic change as well).
Well in the skill tree it works like you climbing a mountain. The farther you get, the better tools you need. You start with green and eventually use blue to acquire skills then red for the ones at the end

Blue is the lowest type of point. Green is the next and Red is the highest. If you're still confused, think of a flow chart (and if you don't know what that is well I got nuthin).

I vaguely remember hearing something about how the BattleMage Armor isn't working properly yet? Could someone give me an update on this, or am I mistaken?

Make a circle (3 x 3) with redstone inlay (recipe in the compendium).
