I've really been enjoying Ars Magica 2 quite a bit. I love that the spells are actual spells and not just items. I'm wondering if there is a way to keep spells across deaths, though? When a spellbook pops out and slides into lava (or something similar happens), I find that I just don't want to do all the work to reconstruct it and end up quitting for a while. It can be a really hard loss to take. Losing some tools, precious materials, etc. is acceptable to me, but losing a group of my best spells is really discouraging.

You should be able to test everything, and once you come across this crash. i am fully aware of the crash on multiplayer when using the keybinding for teleport, im fixing it atm
Any bug reports simply report them to the github, don't want to riddle the thread with error reports lol

This mod used to be so popular in 1.6.4 I don't many remember s this. And it got pretty much forgotten and abandoned when 1.7.2 -> 1.7.10 came about and now is coming back with a vengeance. Is very unique magic mod because the magic powers are limited only by your ability to make and cast spells. Generally most magic mods spells have fixed properties and powers for spells with optional upgrades or empowered spells but here you choose everything.
I don't remember that ever being a feature, unless you mean like, copy the written book?
You can do that, I'm sure, but I thought there was a way to duplicate the actual spell... maybe not. Maybe that was something I was doing in my fork mod haha.
lol lot's of bugs comin up now that there's more using it xD
regarding the gui, that will most likely be fixed in the next version, but try to report it on the github, in case some one else comes across it they can find it on there(provided they know the repo exists) but thanks for letting me know!
EDIT: i've fixed the gui not rendering when that mod is present(should fix any mod from preventing it actually)
Few problems that I have come across; the first being that I can't cycle through my spells in the spellbook with the z, x keys; the second one is that I can't make a celestial prism/crystal with the plus shaped ritual with the moonstone, the mana foci,and the light spell , or have the requirements been changed?

Fix Feather touch not working anymore
Fix crash with 2 chrono anchor casts then reloading
Fix config files being generated with path in name for a non-Windows OS(hopefully)
Fix three modifier limit being worked around

Prevent users from opening the occulus if you haven't gotten the book

Growlith1223 - first off, excellent job! AM2 was always a great mod, and reviving it is a dream come true!
Second - Thanks for build 9 fixing the server issue quickly! Wanted to point out though that somehow the release date is wrong on it and it shows as an old release instead of the latest.. no clue how that happened, just wanted to point it out!
Third - This one isn’t on you, but rather an inherent AM2 problem from way back.. Mithion disabled all AM2 loot in general minecraft dungeons because he intended to have integration with the "Better Dungeons" mod, and this never really came to fruition due to RL issues with the mod makers.. If you could re-enable loot-only drops like Affinity tomes and Infinity Orbs, as well as essences and such into the general loot table, that would be fabulous.
And an asside, AM2 dungeons used to be cool and fun to encounter if you wanted to tackle bringing something back for them.. That may or may not be asking too much, I realize, but wanted to toss it out there anyway!
But regardless, again, thank you for your hard work on this, let me know if I can help at all (I am no modder, but I have experience testing and have my own dedicated server). Keep up the good work!

I wonder if anyone has the files for the old AM2 structures? They were really cool.. Wonder how hard it would be to convert them to 1.10's format. I can look into this with recurrent complex maybe?
Better in the main mod I guess but that might work for now..

REGARDING STRUCTURES, i've thought about it ever since i started this and have thought about adding in structures again, more so maybe adding in a new structure in the shape of a village of npcs that you can trade with that gives AM items. any thoughts?

I see. Maby that add on is conflictingredients with each other. I was told there was a missing potion affect from that add on.

I believe the arcane spell book has soubound on it, don't remember the name of it though
It has been a while since I've played (or looked at my fork/addon mod) but wasn't there a way to copy your spells?

Growlith1223's 1.10.2 version is looking pretty good, however there's an incompatibility with the following mod:

If that mod is installed, the Ars Magica 2 UI won't show no matter what, even the amuicfg command won't work.
I recommend an optional UI on the .cfg file that stays above any other default UI, separated from them, as a quick fix.

as i said not to long before you posted that, i said to report bugs on the github man.
anywho, for the first, the keybindings were disabled on the original repo, im working on re-adding them.

it's the exact same as this, im fully aware of there being no entries in the compendium about them and am also working on fixing that.
