You have any KAMI wand components somewhere (if yes, delete all - caps, core and wand with the components)? Some people crash before upgrade to a build superior than 96 of TT (so, not a Thaumcraft problem).
How do you get more? I've seen people boat that they have 100's of each aspect and never run out.
That was really more applicable to the original release of thaumcraft 4, in this version it's much harder to amass research points due to the cap and the new minigame. If you're starting to mix your research points used, good! You're researching more effectively if you're using aspects you wouldn't have otherwise.
i just want to make a note, that manabean farms became a little bit of a pain for single player worlds. because the game doesnt run overnight like on a server.
i guess ill just have to make it bigger.
is it possible to distinct between multiplayer and singleplayer worlds, so the growth speed can be increased for single player?
MORE BEANS. My farm is up to about 60 planted beans, and on further review I think I'll want it at about double that size. It's kicking out enough beans to make a Salis Mundus whenever I go visit it, which is probably twice in a day/night cycle.
Have you set the block id's of those crops via the IMC call? I automatically handle anything that extends BlockCrops, but any other type of crops need to be defined via IMC calls. My golems also still won't be able to handle tileentity crops, unless their growth is regulated by their metadata.
FMLInterModComms.sendMessage("Thaumcraft", "harvestStandardCrop", new ItemStack(PamHarvestCraft.pamCrop, 1, 2));
So far the golems are happy to harvest my crops, as I made it so when the reach the last stage of growth in the Tile Entity data, they also have their metadata set to two as well to be harvest. They're just not recognizing the seeds or seed foods and replanting them. =(
Hello, I don't follow the thread so idk if this was already reported. But putting water in to a crucible doubles the event or something so I get water in the crucible, water on top of the crucible and a new bucket on the inventory.
For the life of me I can't seem to find the bone bow everyone is talking about. I'm just hoping I didn't scan the clue prior to 4.1.0e.
And for anyone having trouble with the primal staff...
Scan a primal core. You may need to have discovered all of the wand cores first. Primal cores are discovered by holding a primal charm in your inventory for a sufficient period of time.

Hi.
Is is supposed to be impossible to craft thaumium bossed silverwood staff? it seems unobtainable so far since i have thaumium silverwood wand already and a full set of discount. they still requires about 115 vis per aspect, and i can't use any staff for that, so it has been >.<
If you dont intend to let people make it, please do us a favor, and remove the recipe at all, else people like me would spend a lot of time trying to craft all the stuff to try out things just to find it impossible.
or just allow it somehow maybe? tweak the formula?
Does anyone care to share what object you have to scan to unlock magic mirrors? I begin to fear I've been bitten by the bug that deleted research clues on login. I know it's fixed now but I'd started scanning a bunch of stuff before the bug was discovered and fixed.
zuoangh, it's possible. Get frugal 3 on a focus, but without any potency enchantment. Equip that on your thaumium bossed silverwood wand and you can just craft the staff.

A nether portal, or possibly just anything with Iter as an aspect. If you've already scanned that, I'll wager the end portal would work too.
Thanks. Oh dear though. I've scanned some new things with that aspect since I started wondering if things were messed up and it didn't unlock. I'll try that last thing you suggested and see if that works.

I wanted to express how absolutely breaking and horrible the essentia tube changes are. The tubes are now essentially worthless, as they can only connect to a single jar at a time (and really, the valves don't help at all). I have yet to try the (hopefully revised) golems, which I stopped using due to a combination of incredibly annoying pathfinding and a bug that caused them to only draw a single point of essentia from an alembic at a time. This is a change so comprehensively terrible, I cannot fathom what possible workflow or user story you could have been aiming for with the new design.
The rest of the update, as far as I can tell, is overwhelmingly awesome. I truly hope you revert the essentia tube changes.

Worthless? My good man, the tubes are far from worthless! Let us start by stating one fact:The old tube system was overpowered. Considering how close it was to essentia, how easy they were to make, and how simple they were to use, no one ever used a golem. Now each have there place: A golem is for big infusion altar rooms with dozens of jars to fill, while tubes are for small little systems like creating ignus for a furnace or perdeto for a bore. As for the valves, you do need to know what your doing for a bigger system. If the pipes get clogged up with essentia, you need to unclog them. Place on a empty jar, and if there is nothing competing with it, it will rid you of the clog. As for the golem path finding, the poor souls still get a little tripped up on mob heads and the like. But the bug you have mention has been resolved, I believe.
As for reverting the changes, that will likely never happen. The reason for the change was two fold: Large tube systems lagged servers and(The main reason he made the change) as soon as Azanor added tubes, he regretted it(How many people kicked there poor golems to the curb after they where added?). As I said, tubes where far too unbalanced, and this was a needed change. Did this change break per-existing tube systems? Yes, but any change he could have done would have.
There has been some ideas I have been toying with and would like your opinion on them.
1. There is an obvious imbalance in research aspects gained. I'm considering two solutions: scanning only giving primals like the decon table or changing some of the low tier aspect combos (for example potentia being aer+ignem instead of ordo+ignem). Thoughts?
2. "Wild" mana beans only giving random primal aspects, but adding a way to crossbreed them into compound versions that only bear a single type of bean most of the time.

I love idea #2, this would create a reason to make mana bean farms.

I like the idea of getting primal aspect points from scanning things, if you receive the component primals that would make up whatever aspects are contained within.
For example, you could have it set up so you can scan seeds and see that it has Granum (or Obscurus if you haven't yet discovered Granum), but you receive Terra and Aqua from it (Terra+Aqua = Victus + Terra = Granum). This would help promote combining, as well as subtly giving a hint regarding which aspects combine to form another.
As for changing the combinations, as long as they still make sense, I have no issues with that.
2. "Wild" mana beans only giving random primal aspects, but adding a way to crossbreed them into compound versions that only bear a single type of bean most of the time.
I'm all for this. I don't personally use Mana Beans at all currently, but I like the idea of being able to crossbreed them and specify which type of bean you'll be growing.

KAMI wand?? from the TT? Well.. I didn't installed KAMI, but I checked the item around and I think I know what the problem was.
My thought here is..
The problem occurred when I installed Magical Crops mod (v3.2.0 beta 15a), then I went back to the game, the game suddenly crashed when I looked at my Icy wand + thaum cap that placed on the arcane workbench.
I have a world backup so that's not a problem, I just degrade the Magical Crops mod (v3.2.0 beta 6) back to before updated version :3
2. "Wild" mana beans only giving random primal aspects, but adding a way to crossbreed them into compound versions that only bear a single type of bean most of the time.
This wouldn't affect me over much, as I've never really considered using the beans as a source of research points or essentia. I only use them for making salis mundus.

#2 is much more interesting, because there's another minigame in breeding up your mana beans. Scanning finding complex items is part of the fun. A little diddling with the combinations could probably help, although for me at least, aer was the most problematic primal research aspect already.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.

You could run the server as dedicated on your own machine and leave it on over night
I'm not affiliated with Curse in any way.

This happened when I right clicked a research into the research table. Or out.
You may call me The Madman, as there is no name that suits me better.
I happen to make modded survival maps, if your interested see my latest: The Asylum
