I just want say, I get nervous when people hassle for updates, demand more features and so on.
I just think we're lucky Azanor made such a fantastic mod in the first place, and completely free of charge.
I know it's hard to wait for updates, and our enthusiasm can sometimes get the better of us, but some of the recent posts have come across as a little demanding.
I don't want to offend anyone - but hey guys - let's cool it on the hassling and stick to constructive comments.
To be fair, this isn't that major a change gameplay wise. Since I have to change so much of the backend code anyway for the 1.8 update I took the opportunity to do some cleanup and fix some things I dislike. Unlike some of my other major rewrites this one is leaving blocks and items mostly untouched. The crafting systems will also remain exactly as they do now (arcane, infusion and crucible crafting). What is changing is how vis powered blocks and items work (with the new aura system) and the removal of scanning for RP.
There will be several 'minor' changes however, but these are the sort of things that I change between minor versions anyway:
reshuffling of the aspect combinations to try and create a bit more even spread and reduce useless aspects
redoing the thaumonomicon so it is slightly easier to browse and a LOT easier for modders (and me) to add research pages
etc
So far I have only one MAJOR change I'm planning which I haven't really mentioned yet. And I won't mention now either since I'm not sure how
possible it will be and I don't want to get peoples hopes up / enrage them.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.

Psychedelicraft, those are rifts, anomalies in time and space (capture them by making rift jars placing them next to the rift and right clicking on the jars, be carefull though, jars can't hold more than a given ammount of rifts, if you get greedy and don't do more jars you can have "unexpected" consequences).
I SUPPORT SHADERS IN MODS! In all due fairness, there should be more mods using them, they can have quite the impact.
Here is an initial draft of the new thaumonomicon window. It fills the entire MC window instead of a small portion and has a scrollable category list for addons on the right. I just added mockup categories for testing so pardon the icons."
Edit: sorry, maybe that sounded harsh. Still, Azanor's message was rather clear...
Is there a way to turn off the animations from the Wand Focus: Warding? I'm attempting to ward about half a mountain (PvP Server) and I am about 40% done and getting 5 or fewer FPS. I've installed Optifine Ultra to see if that helps and it does not. Any help would be great. Thank you.
Someone messed this up, the old versions downloads, showing the right Vanilla version .. should be corrected, because old versions are not less worthy.
4.1.1.14 for Minecraft 4.1.1.14
4.1.0g for Minecraft 4.1.0g
4.0.5b for Minecraft 4.0.5b
4.0.4c for Minecraft 4.0.4c
3.0.5i for Minecraft 3.0.5i
3.0.4c for Minecraft 3.0.4c
3.0.3 for Minecraft 3.0.3
3.0.1c for Minecraft 3.0.1c
3.0.1b for Minecraft 3.0.1b
2.1.6d for Minecraft 2.1.6d
1.2.6 for Minecraft 1.2.6
I have a room with lots of vis relays with an energized node in the middle. Could you make a way to keep the relays from connecting to the node? Maybe be able to set the color of the transducer so the node will only connect to that same color relay.

Maybe you've stumbled on an excellent PvP defense strategy - Create an enormous amount of lag so no one can attack you?

I still need to redo the lines connecting research icons and, if possible, add search functionality.
Not pictured: fancy new parallax scrolling background.
So Golemancy really isn't gonna be a thing on TC5?

I'm Brazilian, plox don't bully me because of my english D:
Are the duplicate entries on the seach screen due to some items having the same name as their researches, and is this behaviour intended?
Will game time (in singleplayer) pass while reading the Thaumonomicon? Though I can see the seach pane is semitransparent, the full-screen opaque nature of the research canvas might be a bit disruptive if you can't see the game at all, especially when mobs are sneaking up on you. The point might be moot if one tends not to be on the research canvas for long, as the actual book pages can be seen around.
Beyond that, there's nothing I can see which doesn't feel polished, which is quite astouding for such an early version! Kudos to you, Azanor

Regarding duplicate entries: White entries are research entries, blue are recipes and red are categories.
That is what has been said so far. Creating a mod that works in both 1.7 and 1.8 would be an insanely huge project and maintaining and keeping two code bases feature equivalent is no small task either.

Much (If not all) of the content from TC4 is being ported over to TC5. I'd put money on betting that void tools will return.

Did you not read the post you just quoted?

Sorry if I seemed to be hassling or additional features. I was just throwing out an idea that I thought could be useful in the update.
Yay! \o/

I think 4.1.1.14 is for 1.7.2
4.1.0g --> 1.6.4
4.0.5b --> 1.6.x
4.0.4c --> 1.6.2 ...?

Replace that potentia down at the bottom with permutatio (exchange). Potentia and perdititio don't make a connection.

The searching is a REALLY nice feature.
its not decided. so far, azanor just asked for our opinion, if we would prefer glyphs or golems.
LOVE it. very nice.
That's looking awesome! Keep up the great work.
I have two questions, though:

lel, relax, IStoneI said it's not decided, that's why there's not an entry for Golemancy for now
Nooooooooo, don't say that! I love my golems, Herbie, Philomena, Jackson, Dylan, Clara ............
