I seem to have a problem with the crucible. I almost immediately get tainted goo and the crucible will not release it into the atmosphere to evaporate.
For example I want to make a golem.
I throw in 4 trap doors, 4 rotten flesh and 4 soul sand then the hay bale.
I get the straw golem but now with and extra 4 Terra, 4 Vinculum, 8 Arbor and 8 Corpus the taint pretty much immediately floods over.
I've resorted to surrounding my crucible with glass and sealing it off just after I get my item but this doesn't solve the problem.
shift right clicking the crucible with the wand doesn't release the remaining aspects into the air. It did seem to work once but 99% of the time nothing happens.
I've don't have many mods on the server and I've tried removing ones that might interfere with interactions with objects, like MCMMO, but no luck.
Any ideas?

You're throwing too much extra junk in that way. Instead, run the soulsand, trapdoors and rotten flesh through the alchemical furnace and into warded jars. Then, extract the humanis, motis and spiritus from the warded jars using phials. You would use 1 phial of each and 2 bales of hay to make 2 straw golems, with no waste in the crucible. though I usually do 4 phials of each and 8 hay bales to make 8 golems at a time.

Though I haven't tested this myself, the best suggestion I heard (from the FTB subreddit) was to completely submerge your Crucible in water, at least a block deep. Apparently, this doesn't prevent getting items into or out of it, but any flux goo created will be immediately destroyed by the surrounding water blocks.

First to say, I'm very new in "modded" Minecraft. Usually watching a lot Minecraft Let's Plays (mostly Direwolf20) and started playing some Mods a couple of Days ago, mostly because of Thaumcraft 4. So I have the FTB Launcher (with the Direwolf20 Pack) but use only a couple of mods so my PC can keep up with the lagging. I'm playing single player adventure mode with cheats enabled and with NEI.
Just encounter a big problem and after hours of googeling around I still could not found a good solution. Even put that pots in the FTB forum already ...
Today ALL my research disappeared and as well all the aspects informaion of everything (question mark is showing), as If I never had scanned and researched anything. The big Problem is, I cant scan any Item because when I use my Thaumometer it shows me still the image like I had it scanned so it does not scan it again. I cant get the aspects information of all my allready scanned items which is bad because I havent got to the infusion altar or for the use of the crucible.
I used the NBTExplorer and there it still shows my research and what I have scanned, only the aspects for the research table are changed, to the actually new one, research and scanning is still the same but not loaded properly
I have delete my player.dat , but it just made a new one with the same problem. Had to delete over NBTExplorer the TC Forge Data aswell. So now I can scan the items but my research is still lost. Dont want to do all of it (scanning and research) again and again and again :/
So the old Data its still there but not loaded in my World. Had anyone encounter similar problems and found a solution? Don't want to cheat all my research because I haven't done 100% but also don't wanna do all of it again.
Really dont know what to do and playing here by myself. Maybe someone can help me ... thanks and kisses Intra
I've had this happen a few times. The one time I got your exact problem (items still scanned but research data and aspects missing) I was very lucky that a reboot fixed the problem.
One trick you can use, and I highly recommend, is backing up your completed research in game. Its pretty simple, just switch into creative mode before you right click to learn the research you've just completed. You will learn it, and keep the scroll of complete research. Then if you get wiped again you just have to go through and relearn your research from those scrolls (be sure to switch back into creative or they disappear like normal). Doesn't help with the aspects that get lost, but can save a LOT of time having to redo everything.
Apparently having many essentia jars on a server causes fps lag server wide, or so I've been told. Any comment on that, whether its true or not, and if so, will it be fixed with the next update?

Per Azanor's prior posts, the issue is mixed essentia getting sorted into many unlabeled jars -- each point of essentia needs to scan the whole setup to "decide" where to go. Azanor has said he'll be working on it.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

Nobody's got an explanation why I can't put Haste on my Boots?
I'm getting another bug, which showed up about the same time as my research disappeared. I now can't destroy most blocks without the "appropriate" tools. Only a pickaxe can destroy stone, only an axe a fencepost, etc. For my traveling bed nothing vanilla works and I have to blow it up with a wand. Not sure it's Thaumcraft at all, but it's the most ambitious mod I've got, so I'm just checking if anybody else has had this problem.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.

Dunno about your haste problem, but it sounds like you somehow got put into adventure mode. Do /gamemode 0
I noticed the Acance Levitator's shift to float down function doesn't work with Smart Moving since you can't sneak while in mid air.I was wondering if its possible to just have it detect your pressing a key instead of sneaking via some config option?
Azanor, there are a few things I missed from the old days of the mod, maybe as a gift on the anniversary of each version of the mod you could add a thing or two from that version that people miss such as the obelisks and stuff. Do you think this would be a good idea?

Will Warded Stone and Glass be coming back with the next update, I hope? They were my absolute favorite block, both for use and looks. I was extremely sad when I saw they werent in TC4.

For the second issue, yeah, somehow you're in adventure mode. Do "/gamemode s". For the boots, have you re-researched or otherwise restored the appropriate knowledge?

i was thinking if a player spends too much time in a tainted area they often die but what if they dont ??
i was thinking something along the lines of players who manage to get themselves deeply tainted. essentially they gain bonuses when in tainted land and tainted creatures will no longer attack them however due to their tainted nature when they enter a normal biome they will become weaker and have detrimental effects applied until they purify themselves somehow or die from the effects.
for example say a permanent hunger effect or pure water hurts them like lava things of that nature
Game mode was it! I was playing cheats off and had opened to LAN so I could cheat my research back. It was still a little wonky because I had to actually break a block before the change back would "stick". Probably something to do with the cheat cheat. Thanks folks!

Now... I have to wade through purple goop to start my next transmutation at the crucible. Its an on going experiment... But... the amounts of goop created when crafting a few golems is insufficient to create even a small thaumic slime. I havn't bothered cleaning the stuff up at all. Or even flush the crucible contents before starting my next transmutation if its not completely empty yet.
All this use of water, dirt blocks etc. Is really unnecessary for the flux created during normal crafting.
Hey, I just found that if you put a non-solid, non-washable block like a fence or sign on top of your crucible, it reduces flux emissions by 80-90%, since said block occupies the space where most flux spawns.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!

Sugar cane has air on it, its a great source of air essentia.

Does that happen with golems or just tubes?
Also thanks for info
Just tubes.
