Something I've been noticing in a few mods and isn't exactly a bug but is slightly annoying and very easily fixed (I had a bit of a go at minecraft moding and this is one of the things I learnt) if you change the recipe for the crook from
{ "SS ", " S ", " S ", 'S', Item.stick}
to
{ "SS", " S ", " S", 'S', Item.stick}
then the crook will be craftable off to the side (I basically removed the empty spaces at the end of each line of the crafting recipe)
Just find it slightly annoying and thought I'd show how to fix it instead of just complaining.

Oh Crowley....*shakes my head in self shame* You have no idea how bad I feel for using this mod alongside one called Ore Dimensions. Ex Nihilo and Ore Dimensions together is so overpowered I cant even think straight. XD
-edit- Sorry for the double post, the sieve was next to my chest that had all my stuff, and it;s gone, so I got really really ed, and didn't think to use the edit button.
I'm guessing this is the 'anti sieve automation' or whatever you call it......

Lol, Ore Dimensions is perfectly capable of being ridiculously OP all by itself, it doesn't need any help from me.

The anti-automation code stops the sieve from working with 'fake' players, like the autonomous activators. It doesn't cause explosions, and you can turn it off in the config.
The auto-clicker protection makes the sieve explode if it is being clicked too fast. This can occur regardless of who is clicking on it, real player or fake, or any combination of the two. I put this in place because people were using special mice or software to click a few hundred times per second and create stacks of diamonds in no time flat. As I said on the previous page, I realize that I was being a jerk by putting this in place, and I didn't think it all the way through. This weekend I'll be replacing it with a speed cap instead. You'll just have to avoid hitting the speed limit for a few more days until I can get a new build out.
Saw something strange on a stream, did some poking around, and found that Sand can end up in a Crucible. It doesn't seem to do anything in the Crucible. Not sure if from Ex Nihilo or Ex Aquilo. Also not sure if bug or unexplored feature. Any have any more information?

A few hammers into the Iron Ore Dimension means literally an infinite supply of Iron. And if I can automate the sieve and cobblestone generator enough to get Diamonds and such for an Enchanting Table to try for Unbreaking and Efficiency for a Hammer, then I'd be in business.
You can use the robots from OpenComputers to automate sieving and hammering, it's a pretty neat compromise since they are so complicated and expensive to build, specifically in a skyblock environment.
It's quite satisfying seeing he little fellas toil away on the sieves while you work on your crops or trees or other machinery.
On another note, Mr Crowley, do you have plans on setting up a Patreon page?

You just reinforced what I said at the end there. Im making the Ore Dimensions my end goal of Skyblock instead of going to the End, which Im not even using his version of Skyblock. Im using the Better World Generation 4's Skyblock.

The point is that the iron dimension is made of iron. It's hard not to be overpowered with that. And hammers, they take time and work to get the maximum ores. You would be better off making a TE pulverizer/powered furnace combo. It would also be faster to just mine out the iron and smelt it directly to ingots instead of going through the trouble of crafting, placing, then hammering the ore, ore gravel, and ore sand then smelting it. If you just smelted the ore gravel, you would get about 125% return instead of around 200%. So if you would normally get 64 ingots, smelting the ore gravel, which is one extra step if you just mine the ore straight with a hammer, you would get on average 64+16 iron. To get the extra approximate 48, you would do a lot of tedious placing, breaking, crafting that I don't think is too worth it if you have piles of iron ore and an entire dimension to loot from. Seriously, five minutes and some wood in that dimension without ex nihilo, you have enough iron to do pretty much anything. It's not ex nihilo that's overpowered here, as the hammering thing is for normal ore generation not 10 000 iron per chunk. Actually, if you assume that the 16x16 chunk is perfectly rectangular and has a height of 64 (the ore dimensions are rarely at that level; they're usually higher) and subtract 5 layers of bedrock, then you get 15104 iron ore from the single chunk. That's 1678 blocks of iron. That's enough to build 10 level 4 beacons. In a regular vanilla world, there are only 77 iron ore per chunk. That's not even enough to build a single tier 1 beacon.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with ex nihilo's hammer recipes, just that ore dimensions mod providing the player with enormous swathes of iron for gathering a minimum of 18 blocks of it, which is about 2.5 stacks. That sort of mod will annihilate any intended balancing in nearly any mod because the vast majority of mods are balanced off of what you would find in a regular minecraft world.
EDIT: wow that was way longer than I thought it was. Well then.

What about the possibility of composting processed wood of some kind? (sawdust, wood pulp, hammered wood, something like that)
How do hives work in a world with Biomes'o'plenty? It looks like you compare a hive's biome types against the dictionary biome types for the current biome? So, theoretically, a biome registered thusly:

could spawn forest, meadows, and curious? (edit: forgot about temps and rainfall - curious if I'm in the ballpark, though)
I do know that Crowley doesn't want wood compostable (I asked previously) however processed wood that takes an expensive machine to make might work balance wise...

Jadedcat's Skyblock Magic Farm pack and it's skyblock-like maps really show what you can do with this mod. I nominate it for mention alongside your other recommended maps/mods.
Any ideas?
Make a grass platform in a jungle and taiga/forest biome, respectively.

I don't like having to bridge around till I find a jungle and taiga/forest biome
I wish you could change biomes.
Like, if a place has lots of jungle trees and vines, it becomes a jungle biome, if it has lots of pine trees and snow, it becomes a taiga biome, etc

Well then.

The first post implies that ore dimensions is only overpowered to a shameful level with ex nihilo installed.

How do hives work in a world with Biomes'o'plenty? It looks like you compare a hive's biome types against the dictionary biome types for the current biome? So, theoretically, a biome registered thusly:
BiomeDictionary.registerBiomeType(BOPBiomeHelper.getBOPBiome("orchard"), Type.FOREST, Type.PLAINS);
could spawn forest, meadows, and curious? (edit: forgot about temps and rainfall - curious if I'm in the ballpark, though)
I do know that Crowley doesn't want wood compostable (I asked previously) however processed wood that takes an expensive machine to make might work balance wise...
