How about the option, that let's you place ethanol or jet fuel in the world? It'd be awesome to use the powerful debuffs that are inflicted upon contact for mob defense.
You could technically use reservoirs, though it could become a problem with a vast amount.
Kind of a silly question, but - GeoStrata mentions that shale and limestone don't spawn in deserts. Why is that? Sea levels can change, that's why some of our most famous digs are in Egypt.
Also, this surprisingly isn't in the FAQ already - are there any plans to update to a newer Minecraft build? I'm the sort that likes to put a bunch of mods together and run around in a mixed world, so it's always sad to find a mod that hasn't been updated in a while.
On my old world (it was something like 8 months ago) i had 2 reactors (breeder and plutonium) on my local world that were chunkloaded and shielded with irradiation chambers (4 of them) and after a week i no longer could go near that location. Either game crashed or i had 2 fps at best.
So something was/is clearly not ok.
Yea, that's what I was saying: Something is obviously acting bad, so you need to figure out what it is, and mitigate it, and possibly help Reika fix anything that isn't WAI.

Well, it's definitely a frequently asked question, and the answer to date has been a firm no.
Is there any fluid better than water when it comes to hydrokinetics? I dont really want to build weirdly looking "waterfalls from sky". I have nice looking mountains with giant hole in them from AE2 meteor. I would like to install nice looking dam there that actually produces power.
Liquid Chroma, from Chromaticraft, only needs half as much height than water.
However I wish to ask about Chromaticraft - im using v16d for MC 1.7.10 and it wont let me use U feature of NEI to check usage of item. Without it my mods bundle works good. Its due to incompatibility of something, missplaced recipe/mod handler somwhere?
Almost all ChC items do not support the usage feature. If all items are doing this, however, check your NEI key binds.
As i wrote - U feature is not working AFTER i add ChC to mods. In meantime im not chaning any keybinds, or maybe ChC is doing this silently. Im trying to solve this for few months, today i was forced to reinstall everything - lately my MC got crazy and crashed alot, ech day more frequently. Now, after more than half day, im softly altering configs, then modyfing keybinds and my work should be done. However i wish to have ChC and item usage check from NEI.
Edit: Checked keybinds - U isnt binded to anything, however using U when mouse points eg. gold ore causing permanent hang. Trying without Chc again....
Edit2: And checked, without ChC all things works fine, items from all mods gives item usage; with ChC just hangs... and be smart now what is going on...
I've been having crashes with looking up recipes (r) personally. Posting crash reports is helpful.
Hey, is there any way to copy settings from one Chromaticraft particle spawner to another? Got one with relatively advanced settings that i'd like to copy into multiple places, just with different colours. Any way to do this, or at least speed up setting them up?

I've recently come back to Minecraft and updated from v8 to v16 all at once.
So far, I've run into two issues. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong, or if they are bugs.
1) Crystal Tanks
My crystal tank does not appear to be working correctly. See screenshot. I've got a full reservoir up top, which is attached by bedrock pipe to the big crystal tank. As per the GUI, there is lots of empty space in the tank. However, the reservoir is not draining into the crystal tank.
2) Superconducting wire
When I upgraded, my ElectriCraft system was turned off. When I turned it back on, all of my superconducting wire spontaneously turned into lava. Does anyone know why?

Reservoirs are strict in/out. They accept fluid from the sides (...and top? don't think I've actually tried that.), and will only push fluids out from the bottom.

I moved the reservoir to sit directly above the pipe, which did make the reservoir drain into the pipe. However, the bedrock pipes still are not emptying into the Crystal Tank.
I forgot quite important thing - what is the difference between GregTech 5 Unofficial Tungsten and RotaryCraft Sintered Tungsten? They are equal? If yes, i whish to MineTwek it for my local world, if not; which metal is equal to that?
Almost certainly not equal.
RotaryCraft Tungsten is a marker for having finished progression through the mod.
GT5 Tungsten is ... ???
Being able to make Tungsten from elsewhere, and then using it to bypass all the gating of the mod, is like ... well, cheating.
If you have a single player world, the answer is simple: Go ahead if you want.
If you have a multiplayer server, I'm pretty sure that runs into issues with the modpack rules.
For what it's worth: While exploits and tech-tree bypass with the industrial coils were obvious and eventually fixed, tech-tree bypass with the normal heater went undetected for a while. Now those require Tungsten. Having Tungsten lets you make a heater and get whatever heat levels you want for the various special materials without needing the engines that get you to whatever temperature normally.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
1: I'm getting Chromaticraft Dimension biome dimlets from the Dimlet Researcher. I'm pretty sure this isn't intended and don't want to find out what will happen if I use them.
2: Ocean temples aren't really spawning in my world; no biome mods, terrain default.
For what is the Atmospheric Lumen Broadcast Frame ?
It is basically able to send lumens across (possibly) infinite range, however, it's meant as a backup in case you have a turbocharged pylon that runs out of power (this can happen). I think it isn't fully implemented either.
Imho i wont be cheating - getting Tungten from GregTech is very similar, one difference is that i must level up through next voltage tiers instead of torque, speeds and temperatures. Therefore i think its equal, like not harder to get - quite often getting one machine to upper level forces to get few other too. Example: if i wish to have Insane Voltage (~8kV) i must have tungstensteel. To store that voltage i need to combine Lapotron crystals from EV (2kV) in assembler at least at 2kV level. Recent changes fixes some places, where jumps over specific voltage were possible, however overumping 8kV is i think impossible - later machines are less or more dependent at GT fusion, which needs at least 8kV as im not wrong.
As ive just checked, both RotaryCraft and GregTech are wrong about tungsten, however only place ive checked that was wikipedia, where melting temperature of wolframium is 3410–3422 °C. NEI shows that making sintered tungsten out of flakes in heater needs 1350*C and 30s. Using GregTech EBF needs x V * x A (unspecified) over 600s with 3k*C, lastly giving 1440000EU (electric Watts i suppose) and then cooling it using next 65880EU. Therefore in my opinion achieving tungsten from GT is equally hard.
And thats strange, but only way to get tungsten flakes is extracting iron ore with 2,5% chance after all stages... at least my NEI shows that. Ah that compatibility issues... Does somebody has more precise calculations for above?
Sintering and melting are not the same thing. Nor are GT and RC tungsten.

Hi Ieldra2, i'am just wondering how did u do to get steam, lubricant and power from the high pressure turbine with OpenComputer? i did try but when i plug adapter next to the multiblock no component found... the only way i found are to put it next to the High pressure turbine block but then u can't extratct the power from the turbine. (And i didn't found on your screenshot the spot where u extract data^^)

Linking tool.
I made my own shader pack, by the way.
That worked perfectly, thank you! Didn't think that would be that simple.

It comes out to about 1 tungsten flake per stack of iron ore processed on average.
I've explored more of the northwest ocean on my map. Most of the northwest area is one enormous ocean. No dice on the ocean temple.

Anyway, i'am lost ;(
Any sugestion on how u did could be helpfull
1. Please use pastebin (or at least spoilers) for logfiles.
2. Try disabling the rotarycraft module in the aobd.cfg and see if that helps
