EDIT: Also Reika, why is it that Optifine causes so many issue with rotarycraft? Even with optifine disabled this still happens... only by holding F3 + A will the turbine spin and the gearboxes and dynameter update and spin.
Turbine won't spin at all ow, not even after re-loading the world. It spins for a second if I switch shaderpacks or turn of or on "Fast Renderer".
And will steam despawn in v4?
public boolean onNeutron(EntityNeutron e, World world, int x, int y, int z) {
if (e.getType() == NeutronType.FUSION) {
temperature += 40;
return true;
}
return false;
} Is the chance somewhere else then? I didn't see it in the neutron entity either.
I also think you meant that in future tense, because it's gotta be 100% in 3d. Well, at least it would need to be in the 99.99%+ range. I designed a reactor that spews out insane amounts of neutrons, requiring something like 30 boilers per absorber, and it was still perfectly safe right behind the absorber getting the most neutrons.
I derped. I thought you mean neutron reflector.

[RotaryCraft and ExtendedRedstone]
For providing redstone input to the Multi-drectional Clutch, the Signal Driver from Extended Redstone is kind-of useful, but what would seem nicer is a keypad of some kind that can output varied redstone levels. 4 would be sufficient (eg. 0, 13, 14, 15) as 2 of the 6 sides of the Multi-drectional Clutch are needed for the torque and rs inputs anyway, and using too lower levels would limit the useful range with vanilla redstone dust.
Currently I'm just using a line of redstone over 4 cobblestones with switches to provide the 4 levels but it's a bit clumsy as of course the closer switches need to be turned off for the further ones to register.

Well that was interesting. Just got a nice little ChromatiCraft crash. Running on v3d, SSP.
I was scrolling through my Chromatic Lexicon while standing too close to a Crystal Pylon, and the pylon killed me. The standard Respawn / Title Screen buttons did not appear, and the screen did not turn red, because the Lexicon was still open. However, when I hit the X button to close the Lexicon, I got this crash log.

Reika, the OC integration is off, you've gotta use DriverBlocks rather than Environments, as Environments will carry the OC network along and cause the computer to overload.

This is a known issue and unless I learn chunkloading will never be fixed.
Also, since MJ is gone and thus with it the old basis for the MJ/RC power conversion ratio, I redid the calculations, using the magma crucible as the new reference (default 200kRF per stone block, corresponding to 5.2MJ real energy). The end result is that RF is now worth roughly 10.8% of what it used to be in real-world power. This means the following:
All RF consumers will consume 9x as much RF as before
All RF generators will generate 9x as much RF as before
The RC steam engine can now generate 31.5RF/t
A TE3 dynamo generates 41.6kW (down from 450kW)
The rotational dynamo limit (and the native RC per-block generation limit) is now 129kRF/t
An ReC LP turbine can now produce about 1.82MRF/t
An ReC HP turbine can now produce about 16.52MRF/t
An ReC Fusion Reactor can now produce at least 230.77MRF/t
To be fair, this is a bit of a drastic change, but I want a ratio based on some level of realistic calculation like before.
Also, since the TE3 recipes are configurable, I allow for some variability as well; within 50% to 200% of the default (200kRF per stone block), the ratio is adjusted. Beyond that is clamped to avoid excessive values.
Also, this affects the IC2 conversion rate as well, putting it at ~1EU/t = 2.08kW, down from 22kW.
Unless I'm completely forgetting something, wasn't the Minecraft Joules to RotaryCraft Watts conversion based on Fuel being gasoline? That still exists, and from what I recall is still pretty much exactly the same amount of energy per bucket (1.5 million RF. There's a few ways to get more, a few ways to get less. TE is probably the biggest offender with its base energy efficiency upgrades), which is actually a quarter of the MJ value, so... yeah.
Yes, the pain is toggling through 16 levels when only 4 are needed. Seems no redstone/button mod has anything like it, so I just thought it could be a perfect fit for Extended Redstone given the usefulness of a 4-value keypad to the Multi-drectional Clutch (or that I'd somehow missed some better way to do it).
Turn off all rendering mods.

Fixed in v4.
Is v4 downloadable? I see only v3d on download.
I don't believe v4 has been released yet...
And about that.. Reika do you have any plans to change the Cadmium Ore texture? It's uh, very identical to Diamond.. http://i.imgur.com/2tyaBJr.png
Edit: I was also curious how anyone with Reactors got rid of their Nuclear Waste. I know its the intent of the mod to put the waste into Spent Fuel Containers and then eventually into Disposal Drums; but I was just curious how other people went about doing it...
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2695349-172-forge-awesome-sauce-mods/
Well, I thought there was one since Reika mentioned v4... oh well.
While unintentional, I like it that way.
Too many people abuse item voiding.
??
Trolling me with this Cadmium xD
But I imagined so.. I'll see if we can not screw up disposing of nuclear waste the intended way. No promises. I'm clumsy.
Dude, you need to get your avatar over here.
Edit: Derp. Found it.
Definitely downgrade ae2 to beta-7, and possibly downgade buildcraft to it's previous version. Both fixed in upcoming v4
Any problems with AE2- RV1? Its marked as stable.
The cores had fuel pellets in them but I never retracted the control rods...
(The bug is that you'll see the microblocks disappear when you right-click them with anything but another microblock.)
