Truecraft adds 100+ biome types for you to explore.
You've recently discovered the world you've taken up residence in is a bit... more interesting, in a number of ways. Not only are there more biomes in the overworld, but in the nether too. And you could explore for a LONG time, and still not come across every biome type that has been added!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truecraft adds a ton of new ores for you to use, and they're not easy to get.
Tired of the same old "dig down 50 blocks, find everything you need within 5 minutes?" Then this modpack is for you. I've taken the time to tweak the balance of ore generation rather finely, making sure it's not too easy to acquire the ores you need to advance further in game. That being said though, it's not impossible! Just more difficult.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truecraft adds a TON of dungeons and ruins for you to plunder.
I've put a good number of fantastic generation mods into this pack. Ruins of all sorts await you around the world, from ruined towers, to crumbling underground cities, to incredible floating ruins and pirate ships out on the ocean. I can guarantee you won't ever be bored exploring the world around you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truecraft adds more farming and more things to do around your home.
From apple orchards, to rice fields, to vineyards and cotton fields, you have plenty of food sources for you to use. And if you stockpile enough of them, you can create booze, which helps you do a LOT of different things! Not to mention tending to your various furnaces, crushers, and machinery. And your inventory won't run out of room anymore, with backpacks to help store everything you carry.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not everything is manual, anymore either.
Guess what, there's machinery for you to use now. Crushers, quarries, furnaces, a lot of new things await you. But they're not easy to acquire, mind you. It'll take time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The world of Truecraft feels more real.
It's not just the biome additions that help make the world more real, nor the ruins. Caves spawn with stalactites, and spider webs up and along the walls. Various types of stone form underground, too. It's not just plain grey stone anymore! Underground cities and huge caverns occasionally spawn, huge gaping holes where ancient and still alive civilizations reside. Above ground, various new plants and a ton of new tree types litter the landscape, from the beautiful Tigerwood, to menacing Bloodwood trees in the Nether. Berry bushes can be found too, for sources of food when you have nothing else. Even something as simple as snow, piles up into layers, and forms on ice where before it was not allowed. Dirt becomes wet and can form mudslides if near sources of water, and can be used as a building material too!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Nether isn't empty anymore.
It's not the empty barren wasteland anymore. Nitro-creepers, imps, and all sorts of plant life await you, a good portion of them not so friendly. More ruins and dungeons also await you in the nether, dimly lit by the hell fire around them. Be careful here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your home won't be a replica of everyone else's anymore either.
With the ridiculous number of types of trees, the new stone types, Carpenter blocks (which allow for a degree of customization not previously feasible in minecraft), your home will be different, every time. You have no limitation on what you can create.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truecraft is what, in my opinion, vanilla minecraft should aspire more to be like.
It's not boring, or tedious, it doesn't run out of steam in an hour. It takes time, and effort to get everything you want in Truecraft. It's for the type of person who wants a little more of a challenge, but doesn't want to be shoved away from tediousness nor extreme difficulty.
1. Once you have that open, (and have logged in!), Hit Add new modpack.2. Then copy the pack's URL by clicking the button.3. THEN, paste that URL here. It'll automatically progress to the next step.4. Hit add new modpack.5. You'll need to allocate more memory to minecraft to run it well though. 6. Choose 2 GB or 3 GB. (I use 3 GB on my computer) 2 GB of memory allocation is roughly the minimum required. Make sure you hit the save button!7. Then select the TRUE, and hit play! It'll take a moment to download the modpack, and install it. All updates and fixes will automatically be applied next time you re-open the technic launcher.
I have explicitly asked for permission from all of the mod creators who required it. If for some reason, I did not ask for permission, and you desire permission, please, send me a message and I will apologize profusely and ask for your permission then. Or, if by some chance I missed a mod that's in the list, again, please message me and I will correct the issue.
I will be doing occasional updates to the modpack every so often, to correct balance issues or to update mods, or to add mods that I feel will add to the world in some manner (not before I fix any balances or config problems.) I've experienced NO crashing with this new iteration of TrueCraft, and very little world generation lag. You may experience some if a large ruin or dungeon is generating, but just be patient. Also note, that this modpack does put more strain on your computer than normal vanilla minecraft, and as such you may need to turn your graphic settings down a little bit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanna play with my friends!
Don't fear! I tested the modpack with MCPC+ on the 245 build and experienced no issues. Which means you can use plugins! However, if you do experience a crash, please let me know via PM, including a pastebin with the crash log in it.The folder for it is here. https://www.dropbox....Server 1.16.zip
@Deathpebbles - No you did nothing wrong. I often check out this forum for new mods and mod packs each day. I expect most people will start to reply and check out your mod pack soon. The mod pack you made looks very interesting. I plan on giving this a try with my family on our LAN soon. Thanks for tanking the time to make and share this. The screenshoots and captions are well done! In your first post above I only have 1 suggestion. Under the 'Spoiler: Mods', at the very least give a title to the link for each mod. Optionally you may even put a brief discription of each as you have done on a few. At a glance this would help me see what mods you are using instead of clicking on each one. Best of luck!
Edit: @Deathpebbles - I noticed you said this at the end of your post:
And perhaps sometime in the future TrueCraft will have its own custom launcher. It depends on how my friend is doing though!
Have you ever tried the 'Technic Launcher'? It's most commonly know for the Tekkit mod pack. I just recently learned that the Technic Launcher can support endless custom mod packs made by just about anyone. You could upload your Truecraft mod pack into the Technic Launcher mod pack system and very easily share it with others. Players can come to this forum thread if they want to manually install your TrueCraft mod pack OR they could come here and follow a quick link to your TrueCraft page on the Technic Launcher website, download the Technic Launcher, copy and paste your TrueCraft Technic Url into their Technic Launcher and very quickly install your modpack and play it. Potentially on your TrueCraft Technic Launcher page, you can also give a download for your server files. Eventually you might have your own custom launcher, but until you do and in addition to, I recommend you make a Technic Launcher page for your custom mod pack as well. Come to this Technic Launcher page to see all other other custom mod packs. They are rated by popularity. If you want to add yours, register with Technic Launcher, and look in the menu for 'My Modpacks' to get started. Follow this link: http://www.technicpa...et/modpack/list
One more thing... On the Technic Launcher mod pack list. Near the top of the list you will see the 'Infamy - Modern Warefare' pack. This is a very fun Tekkit like pack, very popular, and a nice example of how you can give info on your mod pack, give a download to your server files also, and get lots of popular ratings. See the 'Infamy - Modern Warefare' mod pack on the Technic Launcher list here: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/infamy-modern-warfare.47453
even though I believe I have it installed correctly (to specify: I clicked 'play', the launcher disappeared [as it should], then came back with an error). It could be from using an incorrect forge version, I used the 1.6.2 'recommended' build. I'll check back later after using the 'latest' build.

Ninja edit: Nope. Same error.

edit: there are tons of errors, buggy modpack that isn't fully functional as is
Ah, wait... I haven't tested this modpack out on a MAC computer, so that may be why it's not working properly.
I will suggest, (back up your minecraft folder) try installing it to your main minecraft directory, and seeing if it works properly there.
I don't have a mac myself, so I apologize to those who do whom it's not working properly for.
And yes, clownfish I have indeed heard of and used the Technic Launcher, however this is a 1.6.2 modpack build and the technic launcher doesn't work with 1.6.2.
Okay okay... I guess it "kinda" has 4 biome addition mods, but not really... Underground biomes just adds different stone types and layers, not really biomes.

And Khaose, Natura doesn't add any biomes. It just adds trees and natural things.
I know, I've checked
Also: your fix didn't work, unfortunately.
I like to play FTB with some additions. Also custom modsets are awesome!
Go into the "mods" folder, and delete the Inventory Tweaks jar.
Try running it again, if that doesn't work, then I don't know what could be wrong...
EDIT
Ah! Wait, it may be the version of Inventory Tweaks not working properly.
Go here, and try downloading the latest version and replacing the old one with it.
