i think i'm having a compatability bug or i missed a step somewhere, using this mod and paintings++, the paintings are the ones from paintings++, but in your gui they are different ones that i have never seen before? when i select one it picks the coresponding painting from the paintings++ texture, but i dont know which ones im clicking xD
Oops, forgot to release the new version.
v1.6.2.1 should fix compatibility with Paintings++. Check the first post - just updated it with the new version.
Alright, so is everyone in favor of the new format? Also, I'm probably going to switch over to my GUI library - it will require an extra download, but it will add in much-needed scrollbars.
It is no longer a jar-mod, so it cannot edit base classes (it's not a coremod either). Thus, I couldn't add that functionality in - instead, use "/painting" to edit a painting.
My kingdom for a Mod API, right?
There is a much better Noteblock GUI mod. As for AutoJoin, I'm going to work on it, but it's going to take some time. It will no longer be a jar mod, so I need to rework the disconnect/reconnect detection system.
Anyways, what do you guys think of this? This support scrollbars - they will appear if necessary. Also, paintings will no longer disappear and leave large gaps - clipping is now supported.
It does not work. I use minecraft 1.6.2 with forge:
also the latest version of paintings++ (Paintings++ 1.6.2v2.0) and it works propper.
I put the Forge_PaintingSelectionGuiv1.6.2.1.zip into the modfolder and start the game, but i get still random selections.
Any idea?

I love this concept, however I'm having an issue trying to get it to work properly with paintings++. You can place any of the paintings++ paintings, but when selecting a painting using this GUI, it shows a selection of images clipped from the original game's art file instead of the appropriate one from the paintings++ mod's art sheet. Some are paintings and some are blue boxes. Selecting a painting in this GUI, however, does give you the corresponding Paintings++ painting.

Placing paintings works fine:
Editing paintings is acting up:
I currently have the Paintings++ mod set to the "Insane" Art sheet.

Are you on the latest version of Paintings++? The newest update of this mod changed the class names, so Paintings++ will have to update in order to stay compatible with the GUI. I PMed the Paintings++ author already, not sure if he released a new version yet

I downloaded all three last night at the same time.
I double checked to be sure, but I'm certain I have the latest version available of both mods.
I have:
Forge_PaintingSelectionGuiv1.6.2.2.zip
Forge_GuiLibv1.0.2.zip
Paintings++ 1.6.2v2.0.zip
Config for Paintings++:
# Configuration file
####################
# 1-paintingsmode
#===================
# Only set one Value to True !

haha, lol, forget about that. made a typo in the localization of the painting button class.
I took the time to install the source again in my mod, and I added an option to 'escape' close the gui made a pull request.
I'm now adding a keyhandeler with a configurable key to close the gui
Updated to version 1.6.2.3, you can now close the GUI with the escape key.
I love this idea, but for some reason it wont work for me... I have installed many mods, but this GUI is not working... I dont know why. Could I get some help?
It says I need some sort of file form you?
Do I need something besides the PSGUI 1.6.2.3 and GUI Library 1.0.2?
Oops, forgot to release the new version.

Yes, but there's no easy way to add them

Thanks so much!
Hmm?

Hmm? It should work fine?
This version requires my new mod, GuiLib, but it looks much nicer with the new format
Whoops, forgot to add that in. It's literally a line or two of code... Oops. I'll fix that in the next version
When looking at the painting, use the command "/painting" to open the GUI

It looks like he hasn't updated for compatibility yet. You can either wait for him to update, or downgrade to version 1.6.2.1 of this mod
Thank you. It works as advertised now
I downgraded for now. I'll just wait for the updated version to come out before I upgrade again
Yeah, it looks like he will be releasing an updated version today
Updated to version 1.6.2.3, you can now close the GUI with the escape key.
Thanks! It's definitely much better now

I am seriously at a loss. Thanks.
