This is a small mod that adds some extra button and button-related blocks to Minecraft. It's a bit of an organizational mess so in the future things could get shuffled around. For now though they live together as a single mod. Most of the blocks are meant to help ease station design on my server, and some are more for fun.
If I've duplicated functionality from an existing active mod, feel free to point it out and I'll put up a link to it.
Installation
This is a Forge-based mod, and requires a version of Forge compatible with the version of Minecraft you are installing the mods for. The same download is used for the client and server. Place the zips/jars directly into the minecraft/mods or mods folders, respectively.
If you don't like the Forge dependency, the source is available and you are welcome retarget the mod to another loader. I'll even give you a link if you release it.

This mod creates a standard Forge configuration file that will let you change block IDs in case of conflict.
If there are any blocks in this mod that you would rather not have, you can set its ID to "-1" in the configuration to disable it.
Blocks and Recipes
Stone Panel Button: A larger, easier-to-hit version of the stone button.
Wood Panel Button: A larger, easier-to-hit version of the wood button. Also provides a larger target for arrows.
Capacitive Touch Block: A button with no mechanical action. Any part of the 6 surfaces can be 'pressed' to emit a temporary redstone signal in all directions. An alternative to trapped chests as an easy to hit switch while moving quickly down rail.
Illuminated Toggle Buttons: Buttons that act as toggle switches (hold their state until activated again). Comes in 16 colors and illuminate when active. Pre-1.7.2 version does not alter light levels, 1.7.2+ version does. Recipes pre-1.7.2 and 1.7.2+.
Player Detector Rail: A version of detector rail that only triggers when a player is in the cart.
Player Powered Rail: Combines powered rail and the Player Detector Rail into a single track. Holds empty carts stationary, and propels carts when a player gets into them, along with emitting a redstone signal.
Delay Button: A higher-tech button that can be configured for 4 different delay values. Sneak+Right Click while empty-handed to cycle through they delay values.
Oh wow, I came here thinking this was a popular mod. Then I noticed it was posted today. I wanna help you out in tutorials/art for this mod. Looks like a mod that's needs to get more people.
Now this looks like a very useful mod. Especially the toggle buttons.

[Scott]: Things I have managed to get in the last five minutes, in order of ascending importance: cobblestone, planks, lapis lazuli, redstone, gold, coal, diamond. VERY LOST.
Attempting to use it on a 1.6.2 game, however, causes Minecraft to crash and burn on launch. That's just a wee bit of a problem.

A crash was earlier reported in conjunction with RailCraft in the previous version. It was actually a wider problem that could potentially crash your client with certain mod interactions, or placing a button at the absolute top or bottom of the map. This has been fixed.
I like the wall plate trigger a very nice "touch". The toggle button is definitely overdue and surprised I haven't seen one before, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
One of the most annoying features of buttons has always been the timing of them. The timing is so short that sometimes you just miss dashing through the door so it shuts in your face before you have even walked through it. A nice addition might be buttons whose timing is longer. Which would also help when you and a bunch of friends walk through the door at the same time. The recipe for the timing might be a simple addition like an extra glow stone. Each additional glow stone adds another 0.5 seconds?
Are you referring to the plates, or introducing a new standard button block with the additional timings? Certainly that doesn't apply to toggle buttons.
Have seen another guy do it but his mod became so large it became difficult to install it and I just wanted that feature. I always like these themed mods that affect one area so that it doesn't interfere with other mods.
Very nicely thought out jaquadro the delay button is perfect for all my doors. Now I can get through them without having to click it a second time as the regular button is just too quick.
Let me be the one to say... thank you. Buttons are so neglected. ...oh btw, I've only seen 1 recipe in Minecraft that uses a button, ever.

--- END ERROR REPORT 3b16f2e6 ----------
This error occured whan I try to place Illuminated Toggle Button. The error occures when I try to load a map with placed button too. Other buttons (Stone and Wooden) are working good.
One time I placed Illuminated Toggle Button with no error, even I toggle it, and it was lighted, and was no error. But when I try to place a red wire from RedPower2, same error is occured again :-(
If you need more info about my system settings, I'm ready to give you any information.
Sorry for my terrible English, and thanx again for this awesome mod!
There was a bug related to toggle button rendering that I fixed in the 1.6.x series only, but I could go back and try and fix it for 1.4.x. The bug could be exercised by placing certain mod blocks adjacent to a toggle button. Does that sound like what happened?
I'm not sure that will fix your problem, given the stack trace, but it's the best lead I have to go on. I'll make another post when I've actually pushed an update.
I've updated the 1.4.7 and 1.5.2 builds with the fix (which quite honestly I should have just done when I fixed it for 1.6.4). The 1.4.7 build seemed to play nicely with RedPower wire when I tested, so see if that works.
