Hi CreativeMD, I wanted to check something with you if I may, before I tried this mod.
My Situation and reason for using WGM:
I'm roughly 75 hours invested into a 1.9 world when it suddenly hit me, I've only found 3 diamonds and around 6-7 emeralds. That's way less than normal. So I started actively trying to find them, making it my sole and only goal. 7 hours of stripe mining and Nothing... Zip! Not a single diamond.
So I installed an Xray mod to check that something hadn't gone wrong when the world generated. To my horror, there is anywhere between 400 and 1000+ blocks between each vein of diamonds. Something had gone wrong... Big time!
The reason I want to ask you if this will work:
My world is custom, using a mod called RTG (Realistic Terrain Generation), which completely changes MC's world gen. But it doesn't allow control over ore generation, so I installed a mod called (SimpleOreGen) to slightly decrease the number of ores generated, making them a bit harder to find.
Unfortunately I changed to wrong value setting in the SimpleOreGen config and made Diamonds and Emeralds incredibly super rare.
So, my question is, would this WGM mod work in just regenerate these two vanilla ores in a world created with these mods and without regening all the work I've done building my little town???

First of all, thank you for you well written and well structured post!
The problem is that my mod doesn't regenerate vanilla things, it only regenerates mod created generators. So, i'm not sure if it will work out because i don't know how SimpleOreGen works.
Because of that i recommend to backup the world and try to install my mod. Enable it to regenerate SimpleOreGen only and don't forget to update the config of SimpleOreGen as well. Hopefully that fixes your problem, but if not you will have to find another way, sadly :(.

Thank you and thank you, I try to post as much info and explanation as possible as I know how incredibly frustrating it is when someone asks for help giving Zero info.
[Edit] - Sorry, loading the world a second time created the config Trying it now... *fingers crossed* Anyway, I'm giving it a try now but I think I am being a derp or missing something in the description. I DL'ed the 1.9 version, added it to my mod directory as normal, loaded the world and closed it expecting to see the config file mentioned in the description in the config or mod folder, is that right or am I missing something??? I see in the screenshot you posted a GUI, but I don't see if I should and/or how I open that.

CreativeMD, seriously and sincerely... THANK YOU! I was positive my world was done for, 1 or at most 2 veins of diamonds "Per Biome" meant it was pointless with no end-game loot, I was rapidly losing interest in playing MC as I didn't want to start over. But you with just 1 quick mod install and a config tweak have fixed it completely and without a hitch

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I may be in love with you You have an Ambient Sounds mod I've been looking for one that hasn't been abandoned since 1.9 dropped! The only one I knew of was: Ambiotic (Ambient Sounds) by MAtmos, but the author is MIA for 6 months and hasn't touched the mod since 1.7, so I thought I was out of luck.
Damn CreativeMD, I'm going through the rest of your mods now. It feels like Christmas

Oh, sorry to trouble you again, I forgot to ask something. Once I enable WGM in it's config and the ores have regened in the world, should I then leave WGM and it's config it my mod and config folders, or remove them???

It depends, it only regenerates chunk you load. So you can remove it if you think you have loaded/ visited all chunks in your world with WGM installed.

Ok, just so I understand 100% and don't mess something up: Basically, I need to keep WGM installed and Enabled otherwise if I remove it, when I load a new chunk that I haven't visited previously, it would still have the no diamonds issue because WGM is installed to regen and fix the issue. That correct???
Also, if this is correct and I would need to keep it installed to effect all chunks I load in the future, will WGM ever regen the chunks again that I've visited, meaning the ones it has already regened, would it regen them again if I mined ores from the chunk or left the chunk for a certain amount of time.
Sorry for all the questions, as said, I just don't want to run into issues down the road and find I've done gone broked it

As I understand your situation:
1. you have reconfigured SimpleOreGen so that new chunks should generate with proper quantities of diamonds and ores. You don't need WGM for this.
2. You have flown around and visited most of the previously generated sparse chunks with WGM forcing regeneration. You don't need WGM installed for these chunks anymore.
3. There may be some already generated chunks that have not been visited and which are sparsely populated with diamonds etc. You WILL need to have WGM installed to ensure these are repopulated when you visit them.
Last time I checked WGM does not have the capability of regenerating chunks that are not visited by a player. If you want to regenerate an entire world (e.g. a server) you would need to use COFHCore from the Thermal Expansion team to do the regeneration.

As Farproc already mentioned. It's only about already generated chunks. WGM won't effect normal generation, but it will only regenerate already existing chunks. So you can remove WGM if you have already visited/ loaded all generated chunks (before you have installed WGM).
Tested it everything works just fine, i don't know what causes this issue for you.
That's ok, was my bad I should of explained more.
I'm testing it in MC1.10 server, I tried the 1.9.4 version of your mod which sometimes those versions work in 1.10 but it won't create the config file and the 1.10.2 version has the error above in my server logs but it does create the config file.
I was hoping it was just a recent bug, but I guess it's just incompatible.
unfortunately i think that he don't want to make one
No plans for 1.8.9, due to my broken graphic card sorry.

this works in 1.9.4 ?
Nope, sorry
Finally updated to 1.10.2
I'm using the 1.10.2 version, but I keep getting
"Field modsGenerated was not found" repeatedly..
Any ideas?
