Hey it's Geroy290 here with my FIRST Minecraft Mod! I hope you all enjoy this and find it useful, let me know if you enjoy it in the comments section!
Overview
Overview
Have you ever accidentally crafted the wrong thing and wished you could craft it back? Well now you can! The Uncrafting Mod allows you to uncraft almost every single item, block, weapon, etc.
Now there are basic crafting recipes like these...
These recipes give back only one item because that is all that goes into them when crafted, but there are more complex recipes that only give one item back (As that is all that minecraft allows you to code in).
Here are some examples of a more complex recipe that when Uncrafted gives back only one item.
There is also one more possibility for for the uncrafting recipes, like these examples where you craft in 16 and then you uncraft using only 8.

Geroy290, I downloaded the mod and it does not work on Forge. I have tried both your method (letting Google handle the zip) and zipping the .class file myself. Try testing your mod and upload it on a proper file storage service like Dropbox or Mediafire.
I have not added it to the mod list for the time being, feel free to resubmit a request for the mod when you have things sorted.

Ok thank you for trying, I need to edit the post but did you make sure to place the folder in the mods folder or did you do the zip?

Alright, it works now, but some recipes do not work properly. For example, this works:
But this does not:
Instead of making your recipe something like [x][x][ ]
[x][x][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
Minecraft allows you to make any recipe size, remove the blanks: [x][x]
[x][x]
Your mod seems to be Universal, not SSP/Clientside. That's a good thing.

Well that was the idea for it was that you would have to craft it a certain way. I did not do any shapeless recipes on purpose. So will you submit this or no?

It's already in review process, we just needed to make sure it worked.
Hey, I have a suggestion. Can you create a new block called "Uncrafting table"? There's 1 input slot and 9 output slots are just like a reversed version of the normal craftting table so when you uncraft something it gives you back all the items.

Well I'm not sure how to code that in with a gui and everything but when I found out I might just do that! I am very open to suggestions so feel free to suggest anything else! That seems like a very good idea, actually that was original idea but I didn't put it to work.
Yes I might do that in the future! Thanks for the picture, I think I understand the idea as it was my first idea for it, it's just that I don't know how to do that yet so it was the backup option.
Will this mod be compatible with other mods in the future such as the Portal Gun mod and Battlegear 2, so I can uncraft items from these mods too?
That's a very good question! That is my plan eventually, but I have to figure that out still and make sure that that is possible, but I think I might make that as an addition. Maybe in a separate file or something. Did you download it? If yes then what do you think of it? It is my very first mod but I have more coming!

The mod is very nice for only your very first mod, but as GrygrFlzr said it would be nice if some of the crafting recipes were universal, so you could put it anywhere on the bench. Other than that the mod seems quite nice.

Yeah I am actually making the shapeless Recipes right now, you should expect them in the next update for 1.6.
Hey! First off I'd like to say nice work on the mod. I found it 2 days ago and started using it today, so far I like it a lot Really helpful for all the excess materials I have from prior builds & projects. Anyways, I noticed you didn't have a showcase video(?) for this mod. I was wondering if I could make one. If you allow me to, you could always add it to this thread and make it that much more legit Haha, I'll wait for your answer, and thanks.

Thank you for the Feedback! yes I think that would be a good idea to add that. Just give me the link once you have made it.
Twilight Forest's uncrafting table basically looks like this, with the caveat that it eats one level for each item in the recipe that's not a stick. (It does a couple other things as well.)

Yeah this is my plan for it basically I just have to figure out how to do the coding for it still. Do you code or mod at all or no? If so then could you may me help me out? I am very open to suggestions so if you have anything else then let me know!

Yeah I really liked it!
Thank you for the feedback! I haven't really had much activity on the post but I am hoping that more people will hear about it eventually.
