Hello, This is my first mod I have made/published. I am very excited about it.. I have seen another colored lamps mod, but I have never seen one ever since 1.3.2.
Note:
If you want to play on the new launcher with this mod, you can! just follow GrygrFlzr's tutorial while I update to 1.6.1!
What It does
This mod adds 16 new blocks, These blocks can all be powered by redstone. When the blocks are powered they will emit light. This is also known as the redstone lamp. Although these lamps are tinted to different colors. To craft one, you must have 1 redstone lamp, and 4 dyes of the color lamp you want. place one lamp in the middle, and for dyes directly around the lamp.
Example:
You can also revert the lamps to default with 1 colored lamp and one watterbottle anywhere in the table.
Example:
If you plan on republishing this mod on another site please don't without my permission. It is not for money purposes (which I am not making any money), but I want people to get it from the official download website.
Note:
Due to the copyright notation of Mojang AB, the copyright holders of minecraft, any modification is the intellectual property of the authors of the modification, as
long as you don´t mark original modified or non modified minecraft files as your own.

This is a nice idea. This is the first time I can recall seeing vanilla style lamps in different colors. Simple, yet great concept! Thank you kindly for this, and keep up the good work.
I'm adding this mod to the mod list. Thanks for dropping by to let me know about it.
About the Forge installation, you do it the same way as a folder. Except instead of a folder, you put the files into a .zip. If you would like me to send you a working example, just send me a PM, and I'll show you.
Also, ModLoader mods can go into the mods folder as well as long long as they don't edit base classes, as the "mods" folder is actually ModLoader functionality. Forge just retains that ability. I'm quite certain you can just throw the ModLoader version into the mods folder as well. Just a heads up.

By that do you mean mods.ttocsneb.etc. would be directly in the .zip folder, because when that happens, the textures will not show up, while in a folder in the same layout would work. I don't know why it does that, but it does. If you mean something else could you pm me an example?

Yes, that's what I meant. However, I see the problem. Your code is calling for blackRedstoneLamp. Your texture is named blackredstoneLamp. Same goes for all of your other texture files. You just need to capitalize the R in redstone for all of your texture names. Java being case sensitive.
Once you rename them, you should be just fine throwing it into the mods folder as a .zip.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooh! thank you I'll try that out!
Very nice and clever mod I like the part of the mod where you can de-color the lamps with water bottles
Can you make a simple mod for me? I've always wanted this mod and you seem like a person who can do it.
also you have the in-correct link for the minecraft.net copyright Le' 404-not found

I might be able to make a small mod, but it depends on what it is.
I got the copyright from the list of copyrights thread at the top of the mods section. Because, it is a little outdated, some of the links won't work. I'll try to fix that. Thanks for telling me that.
