Thank you for reading this! This is my first little Mod inspired by the Guys fromPietSmiet & Co. and their Ultra Hardcore Season, using the xxxHardcorexxx Mod by SBK_x_SiiLeNcE.
If I viewed this Ultra Hardcore Season I thought, I never really used things like golden apples or potions before. Because of the health regeneration while the Food Bar is above 18, there was usually no need for using it. So I tried first to install the xxxHardcorexxx Mod, but this one was actually too hardcore for my normal gameplay moreover until today it is still just available for Minecraft 1.4.5. So I decided to write my own mod, which I want to share with you guys now.
I just disabled the health regeneration in difficulty 'normal' and 'hard' to make Minecraft a little bit more realistic and more difficult. The only way to get back your hearts is to use a golden apple or health potions. But don't matter if you are going to die, you'll just respawn at your latest spawnpoint - your world won't be deleted like in Minecraft Hardcore Mode! Or you change your difficulty level to 'easy' or 'peaceful' to disable my mod and reactivate the health regeneration.
Until Mojang release their Plugin API there will be no more updates! In the meanwhile please use the new gamerule:
/gamerule naturalRegeneration <true/false>
On June 20th LUK3MAN5 started his new series using the No Regeneration Mod. Check it out on his Channel.
Changes in Gameplay

No, this is a singleplayer modification. But if you're using a server, I think there are some other mods you can use. Just google for it and you'll find it.
Or, if you're going to start a normal singleplayer game and open this in LAN, the mod should probably work .
For some reason, it won't let me extract from the .zip file. I'm getting an error saying:
'Unknown method in ti.class'
I don't know if I'm the only one getting this error. Just thought I'd let you know.
You're doing it wrong.
Open minecraft.jar up with a tool like 7-zip. Extract your zip file (the download you probably just did).
Drag and drop the single class file into the minecraft.jar (opened in 7-zip)
No need for a launcher or anything like that. Putting the zip file into your mods folder isnt enough
