Poll: What should I do with Drowned?
Ended Oct 17, 2018
I'm not sure if this is an impolite thing to do or not (I'm only trying to help!), but I went through and spellchecked your opening post, fixed some grammar as well. I tried to leave the sentences as similar to their original form as possible, though. It was important for it to still be your mod description and all.
I'm glad that you happy to find it again! And, surely, thank you for "fixed grammar".)
Glad I could help! I've been enjoying the mod too; aside from now having an embarrassing reminder of how many times my minecraft map has killed me already.
There is a bit of a problem, though. It involves the gravestones spawning at night - and in the big graveyards that have a lot of them.
When I look around in the .cfg to tone down (or even disable outright) the number of mobs that spawn, there's no spawn chance for graves to modify like was mentioned in the configuration on the mod's mainpage. The only part there (SpawnRate) says not to decrease it below 1800. I tried it anyway (why not, right?). It had no effect.
The amount of undead that spawn this way have been a bit overwhelming in the big graveyards, both in terms of gameplay (many many many deaths) and server strain (my fiancee and friends play this on a LAN).
Is there another way to disable or tone down this that I might've overlooked, or is it also possible that using also Mob Spawn Controls/Mo Creatures is complicating this somehow?
This feature was implemented in 2.4.0 version. What version do you use?
This is a maximum count of ticks between every spawn, so you must set it more than 1800 to increase grave spawn time.
If not, maybe I can set the SpawnRate to a substantially high number (like 10000) and that would help decrease the number of mobs spawned? I think I'll go try that and see how it shakes out.
I'm a very big fan of your skeleton cats and dogs. I was wondering if maybe sometime down the line you might consider adding a method (maybe using Nether items, or something likewise challenging to acquire) to 're-tame' your now hostile former cat or dog? It would be awesome to have a fast undead pet.
Just checked and it was in it. Unfortunatly I can't say why it happens to you.
Yes it will decrease number of mobs spawned.
Oh, may be I implement it in a one day. I'll think about it.
P.S. there will not any releases until I complete it(except bug fixes)
also, could you make it so people could choose that they want a nicer gravestone every so often, like for when going to fight the world bosses, wither/end/etc you could prepare a monument grave for yourself if it happens to go wrongly?
thinking maybe you'd have to have the right type of gravestone you want to set yourself to leave next and a chisel to clear the previous owner's epitaph off of it or a sponge or something (if you want a vanilla item) and then eat (well... consume it) (maybe an equipment slot for graves would be best?) somehow to ready it for your next death.
24 hours gone again, wasted in futility, welcome to minecraft modding, that is (unfortunately) our community.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
If you can make it, how about a Grim Reaper as an optional boss? And recipes that utilize bones would be nice too. Just some thoughts.
do i smell a bone storage block being suggested? +1 for that

AnarchySage's Vanity Blocks already has that covered (as well as other cool stuff). Still, I'd love to see a Grim Reaper boss, that would be epic.
Items must be stored in your graves. Are you sure in it disappearing?
Yes. It will be, but later.
I want add some "bone" furniture, decorative items, and some stuff...)
Is there any chanse that this mod works for servers?
And a reaper ghost and thin fog on the cemeteries would be cool.
What do you mean? It must work for servers. Or may be you found some bugs?
i've noticed often if you die to a creeper your grave will be placed and then immediately blown up by it, or if you die near one and such, maybe the graves should be blast resistant, in other words?
