I disagree because its not his mod. Ic2 has to work right for his mod to function. He isnt forcing you to use gregtech. The new ic2 now allows you to quadruple your ores.. How is this anything but a major buff? You really need to pay attention to the change logs. Its thunderdark that is making all these major changes. IMO ic2 was getting stale and I am really excited. The hammer you need to make plates has a 100 uses. Thats 10x better then gregtech's mod. You really cant compare the two at all... Remember to make refined iron you had to smelt it. Now you just need to flaten it. Thats not much different. And now that ores are quad the 6 iron used to make the hammer is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. Then to top it off there is a machine that will do it for you without costing anything but EU. Just an fyi... The sky is not falling.
not quite sure what exactly the infuser wants at that stage either personally, but i just figured it meant it was right on the edge of having enough xp to advance and infused something else and that caused it to level up for me.
as far as ic2, the hammer itself is quite a nerf to be honest, used to be much less hassle just smelting iron a second time instead of requiring a special tool or whole other machine, as for quadruple, that's not what my calculations came out to based on the testing we've been doing it's more to the order of 2.5x not counting the stone dust, it's worthwhile on processing stacks though for sure.
24 hours gone again, wasted in futility, welcome to minecraft modding, that is (unfortunately) our community.
(an ode to minecraft modding)
i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
Any reason why the bleed effect stacks? Its ridiculously op for pvp. My friend and I have a fight and I ended up taking damage for several minutes after the battle. The effect even stays with you after death. Once hit, there should either be a cool down or the effect should never last more than 10-15 seconds from the last hit.
- If Forestry is not installed, an “Inert Core” may be crafted using Ghast Tears, Soul Sand, Claws and either a Diamond or forge “gemSapphire”s. The Inert Core can then be dropped, set on fire with a Flint and Steel and right-clicked with a Force Rod to create a Bottled Wither, which the player may release and defeat for a Nether Star.
But on my minecraft server i have forestry installed and this is the only recipe i have found, there doesnt seem to be any mob chunks etc. generating.

If you have Forestry, the same recipe is used, but not in a crafting table. Use it in a Carpenter which is being supplied with liquid force. Soul sand in the corners, diamond/sapphire in the middle, and I can't remember if it's claws top and bottom, tears on the sides (I think) or the other way around. I don't think you can mix and match DartCraft tears with vanilla Ghast Tears - use two of one OR two of the other.
Mob chunks aren't world gen; if you kill a mob using a force sword with the Grinding upgrade, you might get mob chunks. (Base chance is 10%; Fortune upgrades make it more likely.)
hello, my name is Randou, and before proceeding I note that my language is Spanish to write in English I have to use google translator, if I make any apologies misspelling and patience, as my knowledge of the English is very poor.
first I want to make some suggestions, this mod is excellent, and would be ideal if you can add some additional features here mention some:
Change properties of bleeding.
This upgrade is very interesting, however is the first cause servers that dartcraft baneen parts or worse, to remove all the mod completely, the reason is that bleeding hurts even in non-PVP areas
(note: the servers that I have visited are FTB unleashed which incorporate the mod "Dartcraft beta version 0.1.18")
my suggestion is to change bleeding to penetrate armor. would be similar to a skill that has the rapier in the mod Tinker Construct and hope that in this way the mod will become more popular.
Add Upgrade EMP
This upgrade only works on armor and works very similar to Thorns spell, except that instead of returning the damage infrige the opponent, some EU subtracted to each piece of armor and / or weapon with each piece of armor that has the user with this upgrade.
This ability would be enough to balance the power of armor set other mods, such as "Quantum armor" mod IC2 or "Power armor." mod "Modular Powersuits".
Add upgrade Reinforcing
This skill changes the properties of the armor force, so that instead of having the resistance of iron armor, resistance equals diamond armor., Of course if we use this upgrade only seven remain free slot in the infuser , but the sacrifice is worth it.
Improve forestry Scoop (or instead create a force Scoop).
The Scoop is one of the most used tools in the mod Forestry, is used to break hive and catch butterflies. but its duration is poor and the only enchantment that can be added is the
unbreakable, (the hp of this tool is 15). but if somehow you can infuse more hp this tool or any special skills help a lot to beekeepers.
My next question ive added dartcraft to an existing world, and thaumcraft.
Both dartcraft and thaumcraft have an option to generate ores into the existing world.
Thaumcraft has done it, but dartcraft hasnt.
I know the mod is working as i found some force gems in a dungeon chest, but havent found any ores to mine.
I watched the server console say it was generating the ores, but i dont think im being unlucky
See below for settings and console output saying it was generating ores
[Thaumcraft] World gen was never run for chunk at [587, -127]. Adding to queue for regeneration.
[Thaumcraft] Regenerated 10 chunks. 0 chunks left
[DartCraft] Regenerated Power Ore for: ChunkX:587 ChunkZ:-118 Dim: 0
[Thaumcraft] World gen was never run for chunk at [587, -128]. Adding to queue for regeneration.
Settings :
worldgen {
B:"Auto regen ore."=true
# 1.0 being as common as the overworld, 1.5 being default. (0.5 - 2.5)
D:"Nether Ore Frequency"=1.5
I:"Ore Per Vein (2-6)"=4
I:"Veins Per Chunk (2-16)"=8
}
It's been answered before, but to recap, you need a force flask. Hit a Creeper with a weapon a few times to weaken it, but don't kill it. Then hit it with the flask to bottle it while it's weak.
It will blow up in the bottle. This will treat you to a point-blank explosion, so be healthy and ready for it; but it will also give you glass powder.
There seems to be an issue with force trees in Forestry farms under 1.6. I've got an autofarm set up, fertilized, and hydrated, and it planted a bunch of trees all right...
But not one of those trees have grown up over several in-game days.
I don't know if they don't like growing on humus, or if they don't like growing adjacent to one another, or something else entirely; but one way or another, they're not growing.
ETA: seems to be the humus. I took some of the saplings, planted them side-by-side, and bone meal'd both of them; they grew up instantly. The ones on the humus would eat the bonemeal and never grow, even when I put cobblestone spacers to make the farm a checkerboard.
I kind of need help, how do i open the GUI of the armor so i can put the upgrade cores in?
I've tried everything, armor in hand, shift right click, empty hand sneak rightclick, some kind of separate key, everything.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If i can, i'll craft it. if i can, i'll mine it, if i cant, i'll TNT'd it.
Armor doesn't use upgrade cores (as of recent versions at least). Upgraded cores are used for power tools; if you don't have IndustrialCraft, save your upgrade cores for use in building mob spawners.

In other news, the fortunes make me giggle sometimes. "He who handles his NullPointerExceptions is a wise man indeed." Should I remember this, and find an NPE crash directly caused by DartCraft in future, it might cause me some chuckles on the way to the forums to investigate/report it.
Glass Powder for the False enchantment, which makes it impossible to kill mobs, which is handy if you want to bottle them as you don't have to care about accidently killing them when weakening them
Feather Dust is by putting Grinding on Force Shears and shearing chickens
how upgrade tome i have tier 1 write me "ready for advance" what i do now ? and where i find bottle enchanting , only villagers have this sometimes ?
before proceeding I note that I speak Spanish. and my English is very bad, use the traducctor of google to communicate, if I make some mistakes, I ask apology and patience in advance.
To gain tier, not enough to have points in the book, you have to investigate all related items at this level, in the case of tier 1 are sugar, claws, force logs and force nuggets. if you do not use these 4 items you can not get on tier 2
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what, but I can't get Light Armor to recgarge in an MFSU. Is there a trick I'm missing?
Just made a set myself, and I'm having the same issue. Light Armor, despite having the EU tooltip, will not go into the slots on a generator or storage block, making them unchargeable within the IC2 framework.
I may try getting the 1.6.2 port of Power Converters and seeing if that helps... except that while I thought one existed, apparently it doesn't yet. Thought someone had done some work with that...
ETA: Also, force ingots won't go in the metal former. Something seems to be up between DartCraft and IC2's allowed item code.
ETA2: Also tried Myrathi's charge pads, but those seem to be for an outdated version of IC2 experimental and aren't working properly in general.
ETA3: Apparently the newer IC2 exp builds work fine with DartCraft. Update IC2.
Force ingots still don't work in the metal former, though.
