well, i move the file from downloads (curse you windows 8) to my mods folder (my personalized mods folder, not the forge mods folder) then added it to the profile with magic launcher, yes i have an aweful internet connection, usualy 1 or 2 bars, it only at 3 bars as i post this, so i looked in the folder and it was there, as sure as night follows day i have that folder, how confusing, an other ideas as to why its not working, because its not a conflict, i've tried it without any other mods and it still does it
EDIT: i also found this in the crash report : cofh/api/energy/IEnergyContainerItem. what does this mean
How are you adding it with magiclauncher? to the jar or the mods list?
That is indeed being caused by an Advanced Drawbridge block. What type of block was used for its mask, and what was placed in it for it to extend? These can cause a crash, currently, if the wrong block is used, particularly if someone is dense enough to use another drawbridge as the mask. (The double drawbridge crash may have been fixed)
My friend has a crash when joining my server because the tin bushes are id "0" and need to be 251. He changed it to 251 and it still crashes still. Any help?
(It still works in single player with this mod)
You could send the servers config file to him so he has the same config as the server?
I'm running into a really bad lag problem with the Smeltery.
Whenever I pour liquids into a basin or a cast, my framerate gets jumpy and drops. For each time I use a basin or cast, it gets progressively worse. This lag persists after I'm done using the smeltery, even if I completely tear it down. I can only get rid of the lag by restarting the game entirely.
Has anyone else experienced this and gotten out of it?
Yes, this. I thought it was just my laptop, so I'm glad to hear it isn't only me.
Or... you know... you could just place down a beacon in the nether because they work as long as the worldgen right above the beacon has not been altered by the player?
And if it's a mystcraft cave world, place down a beacon anyway to prove which one of you is right so the other can point and laugh?
or you know we could possibly have mod authors start fixing all of mojangs broken crap that they refuse to fix themselves because of their sheer laziness
anyone know any mods that are conflicting with the heart canisters? I apply the heart canisters in my armor GUI, and I do not get a permanent health increase, they stay red...
it can work with more so if you're having troubles thee is going something wrong like massively
i am playing with 53 mods loaded trough vanilla loader...
I've been busy for the past few days. Lots of people have built up for me to respond to, I see.
The other TCon developers have gotten 1.7 to the point where we've started handing out closed alpha builds. The Smeltery still isn't working, and there's no chance of getting an open alpha build until it does, so be patient. :3
To everyone requesting a nugget cast: Sprite me one and it will get in, mkay?
ahamling27: Thanks from Curse themselves eh? So long as I can link like this, we'll be fine. :3
flamedance58, thirith: The Smeltery has a few known bugs. They don't seem to have any problems other than overflow. Liquids aren't lost and you can drain them normally.
AylaAsperger: Your silver block isn't registered in the ore dictionary.
Drains work both ways. If you want to pour liquids back in, shove them in the way they came out.
Piggysmiter: I have no plans to make tier 3 at this time.
zeroangelmk1: Materials don't have tiers. Tools do, but they don't make the lower tier obsolete.
FatBobTheSlob: The exo-armor has the same problem. It appears to be a vanilla bug.
TheonewhoisnotcalledCJ: Nether ores stay in the nether. ^^;;
Kablam1515: A paxel goes against multiple design principles of the mod and will not be added.
Lenyntaka: You have too many textures for java. Try giving MC more RAM or installing 64 bit java.
AylaAsperger: The binding and guard has no effect because it would be unfair to the hatchet or the shovel to have extra durability parts.
There are a lot of mods that are incompatible with OptiFine. Any mods that do work do so by accident, and any mods that don't work also do so by accident.
zeroangelmk1: More tiers on their own would not imbalance the mod. There are designs for a 3rd tier, but it was very hard to do without invalidating tier 1 and 2. The entire mod is balanced both on a mathematical curve and an intuitive level, and nothing particularly jumps outside of that curve. Rapiers push the boundary but don't cross it, as do the broad mining tools.
Is there a diminishing return where investing any more points into haste is pointless and the modifier points are better spent elsewhere?
Yes.
I can't tell you exactly where this is. I can tell you that haste is based roughly on vanilla's efficiency enchant scale, although haste gets a bit faster than efficiency does and you can go up to efficiency X if you desire.
NullMagic1: I talked about the "best" combination of modifiers on Youtube recently. Basically, there's a "best" for each task, and you will end up with different tools for different tasks. If you're doing it right you may end up with 3-5 stone mining tools, at least one of each of the rest, and you'll use them all depending on what you're doing.
Allright, after staking out for a long time near a zombie spawner and killing more then a 1000 zombies I finally got myself a piece of Chainmail (and 32+ stacks of rotten flesh and almost a stack of zombie heads, some random armor and 2 hearts). Me very happy, going to my smeltery..... drumrolls..... nothing happens. Bummer. Does it need to be without any damage? Do I really need to kill 1000 more zombies to get some more and combine them? #Ijustwantsteel #sadface
I'm wondering why my Alumite cleaver with a Paper plate does more damage than my Manyullyn Cleaver w/ Paper Plate. I gave them each one stack of Quartz (144pc) but the Alumite one does noticeably more damage.
Is there some kind of power randomization with Quartz upgrades where applying a stack of Quartz will give varying/random power bonuses?

All chain armor has to be fully repaired before being melted down; fix it all with iron in an anvil. I wouldn't recommend repairing them by the crafting method because you will end up with much less steel by the time that is worked out, and I'd think the steel from rare chainmail would be more valuable than iron and xp.

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/

...
One idea that I came up with for nuggets was using the method used to make lead shot:
Pour the molten metal through a grate and into a tub of water.
I think this would work if you removed the need for a grate and just had a casting basin filled with water and when you right click the tap (I mean faucet, but I'm an Australian) then a maximum of one ingot's worth of the current metal will be poured out and turned into nuggets. This method has the added advantage of not taking too long if you want to make lots of nuggets for some reason...

Wait... There are designs but you don't have plans to implement them? Seems a bit counterproductive... I like it.
Though I may have misread that. It's 1:45 AM, don't judge.

Something like this might have been useful earlier. I put basically all my redstone on my Cobalt pick to make super-speed mining, before realizing it would be far more useful on a hammer.
I don't suppose I could trouble you for the link to that video? I checked your channel, ended up watching a bunch of random videos (*cough*Whenk*cough*) and found nothing that looked like it would contain a modifier-monologue.
On another note, I found your "How to be Creepy" extremely informative and useful. That reminds me: Can I borrow some hippo tongues, a testificate, and some pie crusts?
On another other note, I would have voted Fish. No wait, Book. Oh heck, both of them at once! Err... No, not that either...
Umm... LOOK! A DISTRACTION*!

I have a problem with the Drawbridge: When I place stairs and then leave the game, I find that they are not oriented properly when I use the drawbridge again.
They should be facing me.

First pics showing that the glitch doesn't happen with only panes.

West: http://imgur.com/OIa0DYd
However, adding blocks to either side leads to half of a pane appearing disconnected from the rest when looking at the west side.

It's not a big deal on large windows, but 1 block wide windows are annoying to say the least.
