Copying ideas for game mechanics or features is not actually 'copying', in my opinion. Stealing their code would be. So it is possible that when I do add villages they will eventually be something like those in Millénaire, although Millénaire will of course always be far superior because the villages are, after all, the main focus of that mod. In any case I do hope to make the LOTR villages better than those in vanilla Minecraft.
I will have a look at your ideas, and I could have read them before, but please bear in mind that unfortunately I don't have the time to respond to every post as I get so many and responding to them all would take away lots of time from working on the features themselves.
Dwarven Crafting Tables have to be found first, like elven ones, but they are relatively common in the mines so you shouldn't have much trouble.
When I add Hobbit Farmers they will probably be able to trade almost every crop in the game, so cherry trees will definitely be included. Although you can currently just explore the Shire further to find some cherry trees.
I am unsure about how long the wiki will take, as it does take quite a lot of time to write and take pictures. I also have a lot of exams coming up. But maybe you've noticed that the proportion of finished pages on the wiki is increasing over time, so slow progress is being made, and I expect it will probably be completed over the summer if not before.
Yeah... This mods main focus is Middle-earth so I wasn't expecting a new Millénaire, just something better than vanilla... I understand, life is busy.. I actually thought they were some of my better ideas, but it's good to know you will read them! Because of the new generation creating giant cliffs where the new chunks are, I am kind of reluctant to explore right now in hope you might fix it in the future... Yes, I have noticed the wiki has been slowly growing, but it is annoying to not know the recipe of a Dwarven Crafting Table a day after it has been released. You could get some of us to help out with it, if you want. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and as always, keep up the epic job! Also, 100 posts for me!
You should more evil creatures because there are to many good races. Please add uruk hai with armour and weapons, mirkwood spiders that can poison and give you nausea, trolls that turn to stone in the daylight and have little caves filled with loot, and maybe goblins with weapons and armour. A little confused if goblins and orcs are different because J.R.R Tolkein said that he changed the name to orc. Awesome mod and keep up the good work!!!!!!!
Nice work on the Dead Marshes! Everyone seems to complain about the Sugar Cane, so I was wondering if it was possible to change the texture to something more spooky, but biome specific like the grass. Is this still a biome update, or an evil update? I was just wondering if Fangorn and Ents were still coming... As for the huge cliffs, if I enter my seed again, will my biomes still be in the same place ish? I currently spawn in the Shire with a huge Woodland to the right... If not, does anyone know any seed like this, with Lothrein and the Iron Hills close by?
Do other mods show up in the lotr dimension? BTW very great mod, I am still playing it and I love it, but I don't know yet if other mods spawn in the lotr dimension. Thanks for the great mod!
My idea of loosely based Millénaire villages gave me the idea of incorporating something similar into growing Large Mallorn Trees. Or you could use the Elf Ring possessed by Galadriel as Bone Meal... Also, can you let me join the wiki so I can view the new pages? My username is the same as here. Also, just wondering, how does the Hopper interact with the Dwarven Forge? I haven't had the chance to try it, but was curious how the alloys would work with it.
I can view most of the wiki pages, but certain ones such as The Tool Sets, Elven Traders and Elven Beds require me to be logged in and have "joined" the wiki. As you can only join the wiki by invite, it makes these unaccessable to me at the moment... I believe someone above is experiencing similar issues... Also, as this is the "Evil Update", will Trolls be coming soon?
I think you've got a good mixture of biomes so far.
I think ideally you should have a Trollshaws biome for the trolls, and perhaps that could be a suitable location for Rivendell (sort of like the Gondor Mountains sub-biome).
I'd like to see a Mirkwood biome. Giant spiders please!
Possibly an Angband biome with ruined dungeons of Melkor, but that might be a little too early for the timeframe the Lord of the Rings mod is set in.
Something that might be interesting is an ocean biome, with a very rare Valinor biome.
I'd also love to see a rare Ringwraith mob appear at night in the Shire biome...
Hi Mevans,
Now that Morgul Crafting Tables generate naturally, will they require to be crafted on one? You could simplify the recipe a little so it's 2 x 2 and matches all the other crafting tables you have added and the original. Perhaps you could also have a 'Planned Features' page on the wiki, but I guess this will need to be updated regulary... Anyway, perhaps you could also add Orc Forges, those pits with the lava (?) in them, where the Orcs make their tools.

Probably the Trollshaws would be the best as I s'pose it was named after Trolls... I agree, Mirkwood would be some fun to explore but as the main aligned people in there are the Elves, I doubt we will see it in Beta 6 as I believe Mevans whats make this the 'Evil Update' after this month's 'Dwarven Update' added so much content for the good side. Valinor is the home of the Elves, isn't it? If so, I like the idea... But as it was never in the movies or any books (that I know of) it may break a little of the mystery and awe of the place, but ask Mevans on that. After all, he is the Mod author... The Shire and Lorien biomes I believe are supposed to be kept 'free' from the forces of evil. It would kind of be like spawning Gandalf in Mordor and watching all the Orcs get their butts kicked (can't wait for Gandalf now... Also, if this is the Evil Update, don't they need some boss butt to kick?)
As I said, Beta 6 will be the Evil Update... New biomes such as The Dead Marshes possibly Trollshaws, maybe Trolls, the big Orcs (yes, I know they have a name), Goblins, at least two new armor sets for the Evil side, possibly leading armies and anything else Mevan divides to add before the 1st of June...
I could help you create some sort of seed guide as I seem to be the main user for this... It could help new players find their favorite biome to start in or just have some pretty cool stuff... Lemme know your thoughts on this!

The shire did have at least ONE ringwraith, remember...
And Mirkwood ought to be chock FULL of bad guys, between the spiders and Dol Guldur.
I think the trollshaws shouldn't be the biome for trolls, Becuase there were only three willing to go that far (east? Not sure which direction it was). The only other place trolls would be was inside the misty mountains in mordor or I thing is engage had some trolls. Out of these choices I thing you should spawn trolls in the misty mountains.
A new biome you should add is Harad. With the , a new set of weapons, armor, a crafting table, and haradrim villages
For the uruk-hia, there should be small camps (like the ones in mordor) in Rohan showing the saraman is at work there.
I was mining with the dwarves, and then I saw in my chat an Elven Trader was nerby, then i went to the surface, just to see that he died:
Is there any way to avoid them spawning inside walls?

He has not added isengard yet you must be talking about the mordor tower
