A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This error is a little unusual because it will always return a number value, not null. Does the log mention anything about item or block ID conflicts before the error occurs? Try deleting the config file, and if it still persists, then try changing the block ID number.
good job simple but smart i shall be using this. also do u have any plans to add/change anything or just keep updating to new versions?
I'll keep updating it to new versions. As for adding new content - I would like to, but I've ran into some fundamental problems trying to implement new features. I'm slowly learning more as time goes on, so I might be able to add new features at a later time.
Just informing you all that I pushed a minor update v1.3. Plants that emit light will now also emit light while planted in the pot. Existing glowing plants that are planted in pots will have to be replanted for it to take affect. The mushroom mycelium planting requirement is also now configurable to allow mushrooms to be planted on any soil type.
If anyone downloaded v1.3 before this post, please download it again and replace your current copy. It has been patched to fix a bad rendering bug I overlooked. Sorry!
I have been working on it for a few days.. the new texture system presented a new challenge for me, and a few other bugs have popped up without a clear cause. It should be ready soon, but I can't really say when.
I don't want to be a pest, I do apologize for asking on the updates. I'm just trying to keep track of all the current WIP mods I have on my list that are being updated.
This particular one has very little forum traffic as compared to most. So I am trying to prevent it from getting lost too deep in the post graveyard.
I know what it's like waiting forever for an update.
As of last night, the flower pot renders perfectly. I've also added one new paint texture (yes, one!). Currently, I'm trying to add one new feature - no telling whether I will be successful, though.
I just pushed the new update for Minecraft v1.5.1. Changes are listed in the changelog and "How to" section, but most importantly: the pots can now be covered! It is like plating, but different, and offers many new possibilities for customized pot textures. Also, a new paint color (use ender pearls).
I will update the screenshots section at a later time to show the new looks. Hope everyone enjoys the changes!
EDIT: All sections in op updated to reflect changes.
Hi there. For some reason when i place the Painters flower pot in the world it won't show up. its there but its invisible. can you help please?
figured out the problem.I didn't realize this was dependant on a specific vesion of Forge. Updated forge and it works. Ugh!
I used the latest version of Forge at the time I updated the mod - I assume it works well with later versions, but earlier versions could be sketchy since it had only just been released for 1.5.1.

Yeah, I believe Forge build 600 had block rendering issues. Not sure if that's the version Bellesme was using, but I'd just like to point that out

Can we get a status update on this mod please?
I plan on updating it soon for 1.5. No new features planned at the moment, though,
