little maid mod + flan's mod would be awesome, but the maids dont recognize the weapons :'(
Right-Click on the Maid with a book, then select "Triggers", this will open a Menu where you can set up different thing for Bow/Arrows/Swords/Torches/Axes. That is the feature that is meant to add compatibility for other mods such as Flan's Mod. Simply find the Guns and put them in the Bow area, and put the Bullets in the Arrows area.

Cool... I have always wondered what that "trigger select" menu is for!
Edit: unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work with the Flan's Mod weapons. When I put a Flan's gun and armor in the appropriate trigger select slot, the maid's status does change to Archer, but she doesn't actually shoot the weapon, she looks like she is firing it (she plays her "attacking" sound and the animation of the gun shooting) but she doesn't actually shoot anything (no bullets come out, monsters don't get damaged, etc.) Yes I used the correct ammo for the weapon I was trying.
This mod is for perverts, like me. xD
*Joke's aside* Japan is epic, so is this mod, and so is Minecraft... Epic Win?
well my nightmare became a reality... there's Shingeki no Kyojin's 3dm gear as well in MC I think its also found on the same forum or so I think judging from the mod title attack on titan, and Ugocraft these 3 mods would probably interest quite a number of people
Is this mod going to update to 1.6.2 or is it going to stay at 1.5.2?
I'm sure they are working on it. 1.6 just came out a week ago, and IIRC it took 2-3 weeks after 1.5 came out for the mod to get updated. Patience, grasshopper.

I skimmed through the forum pages for the LittleMaidMob and it seems like 1.6.2 update notifications are coming up.
It mentions stuff about seeing how compatible it is with Forge and Server, or maybe just the newest version of maids.

Thanks for the info, couldn't really figure it out myself.
Update: MMMlib has been updated with 1.6.2 compatibility, however littleMaidMob itself is NOT YET compatible with 1.6.2. But this is a good sign, means that LMM update won't be long now.
Updated LMM and MMMLib and Mo' creatures installed when I enable the LMM egg spawn recipe, the recipes makes a Kitty Spawn egg(Mo'Creatures) instead. Item ID? How do I fix this?

minecraft 1.5.2and I also have that IDresolver but it doesn't detect any ID conflict. wierd :-/ 1 coca bean 1 slime and 4 sugars? to craft a kitty egg instead of the maid egg D: I ask for this because I feel somehow lazy to configure the spawn settings for LMM as it doesnt show up in CustomSpawner menu -__-
Huzzah! It appears that both littleMaidMob and PlayerFormLittleMaid have been upgraded to 1.6.2 compatibility!
However there is a problem, I can't seem to find the PlayerFormLittleMaid FML patch for 1.6.2. There is a note on the PFLM page where the FML download should be, but I can't read it. Can anyone with a slightly better grasp of Japanese than I read and translate? (EDIT: well, I am running Forge + PFLM minus the Forge compatibility model and everything appears to be working fine, so maybe this is not needed any more?)
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT LMM/PFLM ON 1.6.2:
Getting Forge installed in 1.6.2 was a bit tricky. This link helped me out. Just follow the procedure to the letter and you'll be fine. Note that using this method, launchers such as MagicLauncher will complain "no ModLoader" but this message is harmless and the mods will still load and work as normal. EDIT: I had to follow (youtube video) to get certain mods (Optifine and Rei's MiniMap) to work/install cleanly.
The location of the sound files has moved in 1.6.2. The old location is <minecraft dir>/resources/mod/sound. The new location is <minecraft dir>/assets/sound. So basically take everything that was in the old location and move it to the new. Ex: with the amitaro_u sound pack, you will have two directories in resources/mod/sound, amitaro_u and littleMaidMob. Just take those two whole directories and plop them down in the new location <minecraft dir>/assets/sound. Done!
Other Notes:
The most recent version of EverybodysNameTag that I am aware of (EveryBodysNameTag_mc1.5.0r2) still appears to work in 1.6.2. (I prefer the "always show above head" mode instead of the Minecraft standard name tag's behavior where it only shows up if you are within a certain range and looking straight at them)
Pretty much all of the models need to be updated, they now look really weird. (see screenshot below in the spoiler box) I'm talking about third party models that you can find e.g. on the LMM wiki (Amagami, *monogatari, K-on, etc.) The ones distributed with the latest PFLM have been updated and work fine
I've figured out a way to fix the older model files to work with 1.6.2. Here's my post explaining how I did it.
Also putting stuff on maids' heads appears to be broken as well (see screenshot. Those big black blobs above their heads are supposed to be standard Minecraft red mushrooms).
The Mod has been updated to 1.6.2 (works under forge, mod loader for both local and dedicated servers) however there are a few rather nasty bugs so it seems to be really only good for testing atm.
1: - Sound is hit and miss, seems to work (kiiiiiiiinda) with ModLoader, but its a known issue for a lot of mods.
2: They have a few pathing issues which cause a ticking entity.
3: Do not, for the love of god take them / go near them in a snow biome. - Their ability to have a snowball fight causes a ticking entity which crashes the server completely.
The Snowball fight has to do with
net.minecraft.entity.player.EntityPlayerMP cannot be cast to net.minecraft.entity.EntityLiving
and AFAIK it has to do with the changes to minecrafts core since 1.5.
The third will happen every time they start the snowball fight. - it essentially kills the seed until you remove the mod.
It doesnt seem they are fully aware of the bug yet, but being unable to speak japanese properly I cant let them know easily.

I'm running with Forge 9.10.0.789 rather than modloader, and sound seems to be working ok, with the one caveat that if a whole bunch of sounds are layered together/playing at the same time (e.g. you're in a room full of maids chatting with each other, or there are a bunch of mobs around you making noise) sounds tend to get choppy/get cut off.
2: They have a few pathing issues which cause a ticking entity.
Ah, I have seen some ticking entity, although I thought it was due to me using non-standard weapons with them (FN5728Guns). Guess it's a more general problem than that.
Is this the error that you're seeing?

OK, haven't seen that one since I haven't been to a snow biome yet. Now I know not to, at least not yet.
How to fix littleMaidMob models to work with 1.6.2
This turned out to be easier than I thought it would be. Just a small change in the directory structure of the Zip files.
Let's first look at the structure of a model file for 1.5.x littleMaidMob. I'm going to use the K-on! models as an example. When we unzip them we get a directory structure that looks like this:
Now let's look at what a model set that works in 1.6.2 looks like. A good example of this is the MultiModelSet that comes with PlayerFormLittleMaid.
Notice in the older models, the model files are in a directory "mob/littleMaid/<something>", while in the 1.6.2 models the directory structure is a bit more complex, it's "assets/minecraft/textures/entity/littleMaid/<something>"
So basically all that's required is to unzip the 1.5.2 model, create the "assets/minecraft/textures/entity" directory hierarchy, then move the "mob/littleMaid" directory into there, then re-zip the file.
Edited to put the images into <spoiler> tags. Sorry about that!
Another update: MaidVillager (= mod that makes villagers use the maid models) has been updated to work with 1.6.2. There are now two different variants of it:
MaidVillager_1.6.2.zip - makes villagers use maid models, but keeps the villager voices (the "hmmm" sounds that they make) the same. MaidVillager_1.6.2_inVoice.zip - same as above but instead of the villager noise it uses the littleMaidMob voices when they "talk." (For baby villagers the voices are pitch-shifted upward and sped up, and sound really cute )
Get it at the MaidVillager thread. (note: thread title has not been updated, it still says 1.4.5, but the actual download is labeled 1.6.2 and works fine with 1.6.2)
Right-Click on the Maid with a book, then select "Triggers", this will open a Menu where you can set up different thing for Bow/Arrows/Swords/Torches/Axes.
