Dinking around with the thaumometer, I was surprisingly delighted to find there was an aura node in my home ( a pyramid/desert temple I converted). Few weeks later, once I get my goggles of revealing actually crafted, I find...well, this.
By the way, that glass panel it's in..is a 5x5 sheet. This thing's huge...and I'm never taking these goggles off again. XD
we need a sling shot to fire alumentum, it's make one hell of a weapon with something like that. XD
what if instead by using warded jars completely filled with an aspect one could use the alumentum to fire it out of some sort of thaumic cannon that would have different potion effects, damage types, ect. depending on the aspect inside the jar. or perhaps some way to combine fire or air vis crystals (as the fireing mechanism to get the alumentum to go farther), gold (to focus the thaumic energys), arcane wood (the kind you can make from 4 great oak logs when you get the research for arcane stone (to make the handle of said "slingshot"), maybe warded stone and perhaps warded jars (both to safely hold the unstable alumentum so it can be "fired" farther with out its instability blowing up in your face from the extra force being added to it).
It would definitely give another use to storing aspects in warded jars besides for show or use with the enchanting alter if the thaumic cannon was used or a way to turn alumentum into a weapon if the "slingshot" was used but i say they should both be at least tier 2 and and perhaps be made using the materials I suggested (definitely warded stone and/or warded jars so that the blast (for the cannon) or the instability of alumentum (for the "slingshot") doesn't blow up in your face.
edit: so no more jars filled with useless frost aspect (even though they look cool)

Fractus will probably still make a better projectile . . .
It just came to me. Which aspect is colored the most like urine when in a jar? I want to put a jar of jarate next to my bed now

i was ready to say 'i've already brought Halo 4' then i found out that is free, crap, need a connection here!
Note: people often think F2Ps are all noobs. If you have the Mercenary badge, do not equip it unless you have enough faith in your skills that it will just make them loosen their guard against you.
And what about the jarate thing, guys?

for the jarate thing, I'd reccommend essentia carus. it may not be exactly the right colour, but the idea that you're giving them both a literal and figurative golden shower is too funny not to
Jar of Carus
Level 50 Essentia
Coated enemies are slowed
Enemies killed under its effect turn to gold
Also handy for putting out a fire

Thanks. Wish it wasn't based on the exp system but ah well.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
and now I'm getting ideas for a splash essentia potions suggestion (throwing vials of essentia acts as a splash potion with a special effect, at the cost of adding flux)
(eg, throwing the flower essentia acts as a splash grass bonemeal and makes flowers appear, throwing the crop one acts as a splash crop bonemeal, throwing fire causes the area it hits to be set on fire, throwing water makes a temporary water splash that puts out fire and cools lava, pure could kill zombies and skellies and turn zombificates into villagers again)
Honestly, I'd been thinking the same, only as drinkable potions.
Know what, I'm bored, because I'm alt tabbed waiting for a whole bunch of stone to smelt, so...Let's run through some.
Splash Potions:
Aura: Slightly Increases the speed and Jump height of hit targets
Motus: Increases Speed more than Aura
Vacous: Attracts entities to the point of impact
Visium: Night Vision.
Cognito: Drops a few exp orbs.
Volitio: Increased Jump Height
Ignis: Fire Bomb.
Fractus: Obliterates weak blocks.
Lux: Spawns a torch on the impact zone.
Potentia: Causes a lightning strike on impact.
Machina: Causes a redstone Pulse, if possible
Saxum: Slows all targets hit
Metallum: Causes a Heavily Damaged Anvil to drop from the sky.
Permutatio: Changes Stone, Dirt, Sand and Gravel to another random one of those.
Pannus: Spawns web blocks.
Solum: Spawns dirt
Tutamen: Resistance I
Telum: Damage I
Intrumentum: Mining haste I? Vitreus: X-Ray vision in the AoE for a few seconds Aqua: Just what the Water Wand from TC2 did. Aer: Gelum: Freezes water and spreads snow. Sonus: BOOM! Just kidding, sound only and maybe a debuff to mobs in the AoE? Sano: Victus: Mortus: Vinculum: Venenum: Inflicts Poison on enemies. Animus: Carus: Small chance of turning stone blocks in the AoE into ores. Lignum: Flos: Fungus: Like Bonemeal, but creates mushrooms, and maybe can create giant ones on grass. Messis: Herba: Stronger Bonemeal [when thrown on grass].
Purus:
Precantio:
Imperito:
Tenebris:
Fabrico:
Bestia:
Corpus:
Bestiola:
Malum:
Mutatio: Spawns a Wisp at the point of impact.
Alienis: Phases the ground out where it hits, like a Portable Hole. (Bear in mind how difficult it is to get Alienis Essentia, hence how powerful it is)
Someone else can take over here, my stone's finished smelting.
Hi Azanor, i've another bug to report (and this time i checked the change log before doing so).
When im researching on the table and hovering the description text (in the top left corner) the already found essentia icons of the research note cover the text. Thus it's realy hard to read them.
Known issue. Fix pending.

Drink volitio. Jump and detonate alumentum against stone. profit.
Flux: Instant wisps!
It would be highly amusing if a potion of Volitio made you immune to friction/the laws of physics. As in, drink potion, jump, bonk head on skybox (achieve orbit). Or if affected by an alumentum explosion, you'd sail off into the distance at Ludicrous Speed, and stop only if you hit a wall, or the potion wore off.. (maybe that second effect would be more of a Motus thing...)
Imagine, building a loong 2x1 hallway that sticks out of a cliff face like a gun barrel. You enter the hallway, and it triggers a dispenser to douse you in Volitio, then a second dispenser detonates Alumentum and fires you down the length of the hallway like a bullet. PEW PEW. Even niftier would be if you could set up a matching "catch plate" somewhere a few kilometers away... Fast travel by CANNON, what could be awesomer?!?

Azanor really needs to take notes here, this is awesome right here.
Anyway, update on the tower. I've replaced the floors, because they look a bit eye-screwy. Going for basic stone instead, but...Let's make some little runes for the ground to make it look fancy instead.

*in voice of scout* "Need a dispenser here!"

At least play it once
On topic, I have yet to see a dark node . . .
It's FTP now, you're out of excuses. Go play it.

Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!!
Known issue. Fix pending.
Causes an Anvil to fall onto the block where the potion detonated.
But it's not as fun as rocket jumping!
