Hey so i saw this works with 1.10.2 wich is what I'm using right now. Im desperate for a mod that disables ice melting and snow because doing /gamerule randomtickspeed 0 haults all natural regrowth of grass and all that lovely stuff wich i heavily rely on when using world edit. since magic launcher is outdated and i can't use it now i was wondering what you meant by "- For Forge compatibility add this to Launcher Parameters" i have been searching the whole internet for two days now for a answer to what you mean by this and i can't get it to work PLEASE help me. Here is what I'm working on by the way (I'm on a mac if that makes any difference) Thanks

There are lots of ways to use a core mod.
You are not allowed to tamper with the main minecraft version jars , if you do they will re-download .
here is optifine example http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Mods/Installing_OptiForge/Manual_Install/Fresh
You can copy , for example the 1.11 version folder and rename the files inside , then edit the .json file . I would do this for you . but Mojang doesn't allow it
Example using 1.11
copy /.minecraft/versions/1.11 to /.mincraft/versions/1.11-NoFireNoIce
rename 1.11.jar to 1.11-NoFireNoIce.jar
rename 1.11.json to 1.11-NoFireNoIce.json
open 1.11-NoFireNoIce.jar , with 7zip and delete the folder META-INF and drop in the extracted modded files ( anl.class , aoi.class ) into
1.11-NoFireNoIce.jar and save
Last thing edit , 1.11-NoFireNoIce.json , in notepad++ or other editor
change the first line
"id": "1.11",
You can now see the , 1.11-NoFireNoIce under create new profile in vanilla launcher .
To use this profile with Forge you will have to further edit the minecraft version json to remove reference of inheritance to the main minecraft jar file as well as Forge.json . This is off topic for this topic . This is why I recommend Magic launcher

Okay so I watched the newest video on how to download the mod for 1.7.2, but I have a question. Does the method work for 1.7.10 Forge? Cause in my version folder when I got to 1.7.10 forge, there's no jar file. Please help.

You will need to add the Forge variables to the launcher perimeters .Those switches are on opening page . They tell Forge that your hacking Forge , but you know what your doing , so ignore me . lol . There are so many ways to inject the modded files . this is only one way .

There are lots of ways to use a core mod.

modding is a polite wording for hacking
