1.7.10 preferably. I'm working on a pack and mapwriter would be lovely to add to it, but it's a 1.7.10 pack, so any updates to that version are much appreciated.
I just want an updated 1.7.10 version to fix this crash (which I've managed to get 3 times before): http://pastebin.com/7YfApjjD
It's a little annoying when I update other mods and Mapwriter gets broken because of code changes or some such... Your current 1.7.10 version invokes this crash during world generation.
For Vectrons 1.8 version, I'm getting a bug where my game screen behind a gui (inventory, crafting, game menu) turns black and any text behind a transparent background (chat input, and game menu) starts flashing. From what I can tell, it looks like it's trying to display the map in boxes with a lowered opacity if it can find one.
I'm using forge-1.8-11.14.1.1398 and liteloader 1.8
If it was just the the background going black I could easier make a quick fix using macromod. For some reason, a message in chat seems to fix it so it's all a matter of rigging up a macro to send a message when I open a gui, but that flashing text is what kills it for me... I haven't gotten that again since I reset my mapwriter settings though.
I'm using the one from the link jake_stafunk posted a few days ago. I've also noticed it only happens when I have the map on screen in some way. When I toggle it off, everything goes back to normal. It starts backup again if I scroll through my hot-bar, but stops after a while.
jake_stafunk, i dont mind at all saves me the compiling.
do take note that the 1.8 version on my git can be very bugy becouse i'm toying around with a lot of stuff.
for the flickering bug i found that it has something to do with how the map is drawn but i have no idea how opengl works so if there is some 1 that could help me with that. would be very appriciated.
Is it normal that the MP world save folders no longer store the port number after the address? I noticed after updating to 2.2.4 that the map was completely fresh for my server, of which I have been using for years. I checked my MP saves folder to find that a new folder had been created for the same address but without a port number (it uses the default 25565 port). Deleting the newly created folder and removing "_25565" from the folder names got my maps back.
I have also noticed that clicking Options in the full screen map view no longer opens the options menu.
Thanks for the update though. The flickering has gone for me too, plus a few other rendering bugs are fixed with this release. (sun/moon no longer has a black background, sky colour is always correct, etc)
Are you officially maintaining Map Writer now? Good news if you are.
Edit: Looks like the rendering issues are still present when the map is displayed.
First off, thank you jake_stafunk for moving forward with this mod, now for the bugs.
1. rendering issues when small map is visible. black box around sun, etc..
2. can't change size or position of small map
3. rendering issues in full size map. other block textures appear. screenshots provided.
I just installed the mod for 1.8, so I haven't had a chance to fully look for anything else. Will post back in a few days if I find anything else. Keep up the good work.
It doesn't work because it's a 1.8 version according to the mcmod.info file inside the jar... Correct me if I'm wrong >.>

This is the latest build from my gith, it should fix the flickering in chat.
Download: MapWriter-1.8-2.2.4
Sorry it took a while to get back to you, but that update for 1.7.10 did fix my problem
Thank you good sir.

Thanks for the update, I'll have to try it out and see how it works. Is there a way to import maps from previous versions?

It went full screen (Like when you press the home button. Not m) And I can't get it to go back to the top right corner. Any suggestions?

The link you posted is the same as I already have, MapWriter-1.8-2.2.4.jar. Is there a difference or the same?

With the 1.8 version of MapWriter, blocks which can be placed on 256 like water do not appear for some reason?
hmm i never tried that, but if i remember right then mapwriter wont go higher than 255 in height.
