Updates for Emasher Resource, Engineer's Toolbox, and GasCraft.
I've added some new stuff to algae. There's now an item that you can make that will kill patches of algae (although, you have to wait a little while for the dead stuff to go away after). The item is made by combining a copper ingot and gunpowder in the multi-smelter. There's also a new form of algae called super algae (the name might change) which gives 3 times as much hydrogen when used in the photobioreactor, and is required for making neurotoxin. You get super algae by growing normal algae on a new fluid called nutrient water, which can be made in the mixer by combining bone meal and water. There's only a 5% chance of algae growing into super algae though. and you need to grow the super algae on nutrient water, otherwise, there is a high chance it will just grow normal algae.
I've also made some changes to gases. Nether Plasma now smelts blocks adjacent to it if they can be smelted, and both Nether Plasma and Corrosive gas can burn through certain types of blocks (never blocks with TileEntities though). Obviously Nether Plasma can burn through more different types of blocks.
What does retro gen ore mean? does the spawn the ore in previously loaded chunks or no? it*
Yes. However, it will only work on chunks that have bedrock at layer 0, and you may get some console spam. I don't recommend you use it unless you really need it, and you should turn it off after you've loaded all the chunks you want the ores to generate on.
So... Bit of a minor problem... Your wiki doesn't have info on the recent changes. Aside from the changelog, anyway.
More of a gripe then anything. Alas, powering my base with Nether Plasma will have to wait until some proper documentation appears for it.
(totally didn't just add a line into my minetweaker configs to make nether plasma out of smoke/natural gas, nope, most certainly not)

Any explaination on what "Fluidic Nether Portal" is or can be used?

Aside from the page on the Fluidic Nether Portal, which I wrote tonight, I just haven't had the time to update the wiki recently.
For the Nether Plasma stuff specifically:
Nether plasma is a new gas avaliable as a shale resource only in the Nether. Instead of fracking it with water or slickwater, you have to use Lava. Since you need large quantities of lava for this, I've added a pump module that uses energy to suck up liquids below it. It uses the range selector module like the husher and can suck up all fluids within the range until it reaches the bottom of the pool of fluid it's sucking up. It doesn't require the fluid blocks are contiguous, just that they're within range. Once you've extracted the Nether Plasma, you can send it back to the overworld using the Fluidic Nether Portal, which is explained on the wiki.
Now, before you can build a plasma reactor, you'll need some steel. If you don't have another mod installed that adds steel, you'll need to create it by exposing blocks of iron to Nether Plasma blocks. When this happens, the Nether Plasma block is destroyed regardless of how much gas was left in it, so you may want to build something to spread the gas out a bit before it touches the iron blocks. It's meant to be tricky to automate, and even trickier to automate efficiently.
Once you have the steel, you should easily be able to build a Plasma Reactor Module, however, you'll need a steady supply of Nether Plasma, Hydrogen, and Propellent to be able to run it. You pipe each of the fluids into a different tank (no reason to configure tanks since all 3 are being used). The reactor will produce 256 RF/t (which may be buffed in the future). It will not turn off it if has no place to put the energy and will just keep using up the gases and wasting all the power it should be outputing, so make sure you hook up sufficient power storage to its output.
It's easy enough to collect large amounts of plasma and propellent since they're either shale resources or products of shale resorces so as long as you look for new ones every once and a while, a steady supply isn't all that difficult. Hydrogen can be more difficult since you need a fairly large algae farm, and a number of photobioreactors to produce it at the rate you need it for the Plasma Reactor. There's now a new type of algae called "super algae". You have a random chance of obtaining it by growing normal algae in "nutrient water" instead of normal water. Nutrient water can be obtained by mixing water and bonemeal in the mixer. If you want a high chance of super algae growing into new super algae rather than regular alage, you should farm it in nutrient water, but be aware that there's still a small chance you will get some algae out of it, so you should introduce a sorting system of some sort. Super algae produces three times the amount of hydrogen regular algae does, and it's required for making neurotoxin.
I'm very sorry for asking this, it's probably already been asked before and answered, but I have to ask because these are my favorite mods.
You're working on this, right? It isn't abandoned?
Once again, sorry for asking.

Okay, I am not currently using this mod, but I have a question. (And as I am writing this I probably just answered it) Anyways, I found a natural gas pocket in my mine and now my mine is completely uninhabitable. I noticed it was trying to go UP so I made a vent shaft but it's not seeming to work. I can't get through any of my shafts without getting poison / nausea.
How can I clear my mine? And as I noted, I suppose I could just disable the mod to get rid of it yes? Also, the gas mask breaks really fast... I suppose this was intentional, but maybe you could add filters / air cannisters that get used up instead of the mask breaking? Very similar to the diving helmet and using air cells.
So...can you make your config so that we can actually access all the ids? your emasher.sockets.pipes keeps giving me id conflicts, and i finally ran into one where i cannot change the id in the other mod, because the option is missing there too.
Edit: I suppose it would have been good to see what you support with your core XD but really, that file redirect would never suggest engineers toolbox unless someone knew your mod well previously.
Installed defense and I noticed that barbed wire and razor wire fences do not affect players. Is this intentional? Could you add an option to allow these items to damage players?
Can you please make the IDs for the ShaleGas, ShaleOil and ShalePlasma blocks separate as NEI list them as just ShaleGas and when picked up by the Quarry from QuarryPlus, it's harvested as just ShaleGas.

this looks cool but the optifine incompatibility is a deal breaker any plans to make it optifine compatible?

During my (private) server's startup, i get the message:
- Detected TE emasher.sockets.pipes.TileFrame with canUpdate set to true and no updateEntity override!.
- Detected TE emasher.sockets.pipes.TileDirectionChanger with canUpdate set to true and no updateEntity override!.
Can these be fixed? Just doing a sweep with all the mods that do this.
I experienced a crash when I set a Fluidic Nether Portal's output. Placing the portal itself caused no problems, but I connected a Thermal Expansion fluid pipe to it in the overworld and as soon as I used the wrench to set the output, the game shut down it's internal server and will not load my world. I was using the FTB modpack Techworld 2 version 1.1.6 on Minecraft version 1.6.4
