I have created a tutorial video on how to use the Modular Socket in the first and went into Fracking & Gascraft in another one. I hope you guys find them useful.

Hello, I'm requesting for permission to put a few of your mods into my public modpack. The ones I'm interested in, are GasCraft, Defense, and Emasher Core. I know that you're allowing anyone (given a few conditions) to put your "Engineer's Toolbox" mod into a modpack, but because you didn't specify something like that for your other mods, I thought it would be a safe bet to ask. If you want more details, I'll be more than happy to PM you. I also promise to give credit where it's due by linking back to the thread and its author (you), and I won't make any cash off of any of your mods. I'm really not interested in making cash anyways.

are there any plans on adding an option to rotate your modular sockets? I know you can pick your socket up, place it somewhere else, apply some changes, pick it up again and place it back on it's original spot, but I'd also like the option of just rotating your socket, apply some changes, and rotate it back to it's original direction...

if there's worry that when rotating the socket, that the socket will do things it shouldn't do to certain sides of the socket you could perhaps add some sort of lockdown mode to the remote that with one click the socket will completely lock up, instead of locking up specific sides of the sockets

I'm going to assume you're using some sort of software to translate your posts into English. I suggest you find new software as I can't understand that at all.

    Also: GasCraft, and Defense.

Engineer's Toolbox 1.1.7.0, Emasher Resource 1.2.2.0, and GasCraft 2.0.4.0 are now out.
I know there are a few things that aren't exactly self explanatory in the new updates. I should have the new information on the wiki soon

Hello, great mod! I have a bit of a question/issue with GasCraft. I've noticed that smoke from a smoke grenade never dissipates. I run a server and have users setting these grenades off in enclosed areas. These sections are filled with smoke now that sticks around forever. I'm concerned that updates for moving these smoke blocks around will lead to excessive lag in chunk loaded areas. Do you know the effect gas movement has on lag?
Additionally may I suggest that the smoke is made to disappear eventually? Maybe add a 0.001 percent chance of a smoke block vanishing every time it its updated. If you don't want this to be the default behavior of the mod a config option would be greatly appreciate or at least a mechanism by which a server operator can clear all the smoke. While setting off these grenades is a lot of fun having bits of smoke flickering around forever in corners of peoples constructions gets very annoying... I rather not have to disable the mod as many people are enjoying it.

So, I was curious, what are the actual names of the gasses in GasCraft? As in, what are the internal names? I was trying to add a Mine Tweaker recipe for Hydrogen and Smoke to make Natural Gas in the BuildCraft Refinery, but I may end up just using some backwards tricks to do this in the end.

All gasses dissipate when they've expanded a small number of times and there are at least 10 air blocks above them.
You can also set up a socket with a fan module to collect nearby gas blocks.

They have a prefix to make sure they get registered. Look in emasher.gas.EmasherGas.java for more information.

Thanks, got it working. Not sure on costs, or how to make it take more then what I get out, but still, handy.

Do you think there will ever be a revival of AS#B? I loved that mod, and I miss it in my 1.6.4 modded survival...
    Everyone, remember Wheaton's rule.

I'm not going to be bringing it back at this point. It was originally written to fill the void when the RPG addon for EBXL was discontinued, but now that that's turned into BOP, AS#B is obsolete. It was kind of a pain to manage as well. There's a lot of tedium that goes in to that sort of mod.

Updates for Emasher Resource, Engineer's Toolbox, and GasCraft.

I've added some new stuff to algae. There's now an item that you can make that will kill patches of algae (although, you have to wait a little while for the dead stuff to go away after). The item is made by combining a copper ingot and gunpowder in the multi-smelter. There's also a new form of algae called super algae (the name might change) which gives 3 times as much hydrogen when used in the photobioreactor, and is required for making neurotoxin. You get super algae by growing normal algae on a new fluid called nutrient water, which can be made in the mixer by combining bone meal and water. There's only a 5% chance of algae growing into super algae though. and you need to grow the super algae on nutrient water, otherwise, there is a high chance it will just grow normal algae.

I've also made some changes to gases. Nether Plasma now smelts blocks adjacent to it if they can be smelted, and both Nether Plasma and Corrosive gas can burn through certain types of blocks (never blocks with TileEntities though). Obviously Nether Plasma can burn through more different types of blocks.
