crash on minecraft 1.7.10 with forge 1448 and newer, you just need to delete your optionsshaders.txt in your minecraft folder and replace it by that one : https://mega.nz/#!ONxXmaja!18TgmhgpjmOt0s9rHUvhpLNoeYYtKDs4_7HJMMfM_0E
please tell me if it works for you.
and sory for my bad english i'm french.
I created an account just to tell you that this worked! Thanks! and if you re-enable normalMapping or specularMapping in the game, it will immediately crash.
Nice mod I like the way it improves the graphics in Minecraft my only problem it the mobs not flashing red. Iat makes it hard to tell if something fights back in a mob battle 1.8. I'm just hoping it isn't an intended feature. But it's not as bad as creepers not flashing before exploding.

Hello, i am the owner of CreativeNet.
A creative server which offers you 4 200 x 200 plots, Marriage, Pets, RPG and more!
But generally in this thread all relevant information is included in first post. All of it.
And people complaining about shaders are notorious for NOT reading the first post.
So to just be a bit more thorough:
Shader mod does not have issues with latest Forge for 1.8. None that we know of. The version for 1.7.10 has problems with Forge. That info is included in first post. There's a workaround not yet posted there though ...
Optifine HAD issues with latest Forge for 1.8. Until recently. Use the new Optifine F previews with shader mod built in. All hardware compatibility notes relating to regular shader mod apply to the one built into Optifine.
forgive me if i'm being rendundant but isn't the latest optifine for 1.8.8? or can you use it with forge for 1.8?
Edit sorry,i'm being redundant,i looked up the forum stuff it and it does work

No, you cannot use Optifine 1.8.8 with Forge 1.8.
If you want to use Shaders + Optifine + Forge then you have to use version 1.8 of the mods because there no Forge for 1.8.8 yet. But if you don't need Forge then can just use the latest version of Optifine because it has built in Shaders.
It is very good looking. I hope it is fast enough.
It is actually very well optimized, sonic ether as always had done an amazing job with this new looking water. This version of continuum that is going to be the next high version onced released is running at about 50fps avg, I have made another video going over the new water and showing the fps while I'm doing it, it should be the video before this cinematic
I created an account just to tell you that this worked! Thanks! and if you re-enable normalMapping or specularMapping in the game, it will immediately crash.
Here is a new Cinematic of the up-coming version of Continuum showing the new water with Caustics
Enjoy
This new feature was made by Sonic Ether and will be in the up-coming release if SEUS, full credit goes to Cody creator of SEUS.

is there no compatibility with any forges past 1487 for 1.8?
i wasn't sure since a lot of things i tend to look up often tend to be pretty specific, but i'll try it then, sorry to bug you
wrong place sorry !
forgive me if i'm being rendundant but isn't the latest optifine for 1.8.8? or can you use it with forge for 1.8?
Edit sorry,i'm being redundant,i looked up the forum stuff it and it does work
No, you cannot use Optifine 1.8.8 with Forge 1.8.
If you want to use Shaders + Optifine + Forge then you have to use version 1.8 of the mods because there no Forge for 1.8.8 yet. But if you don't need Forge then can just use the latest version of Optifine because it has built in Shaders.
