Hello! It's nice to finally find the place where the actual development of GLSL is made. I'm fairly new to MC and what has amazed me during the past days of trying to hunt down shaders for 1.8 is the sheer amount of scam going around shaders for 1.8. If you trust YouTube (and many other places) shaders for 1.8 have been available for months - there are tons of seemingly serious tutorials by loads of youtubers and info sites supposedly explaining how to find and install shaders for 1.8, and all of them seem to do the same - throw you through a series of ad sites and land you on downloading shaders for 1.7x. I'm amazed (and a wee bit appaled) by the sheer scale of it. Thanks for the progress update!
Congrats! Most Mods have a "home" thread here. I think many people are confused by the forum but it's pretty simple. Author posts topic and new posts get tacked on behind it. Ads might add to the confusion. Sometimes I wish it wasn't possible to post from the first page.
I have the proper Intel HD Graphics card in my alien ware to run this shader pack and it just crashes any help?
You can buy an AlienWare computer that only has the integrated Intel HD Graphics onboard?! No discrete graphics card?!
As mentioned by joshnoodle, update your video drivers to Intel's 39XX (if you run 34XX-38XX you will crash hard!).
Just go to intel.com -> Support -> Drivers -> Browse for Drivers.
Then Graphics -> Intel 2nd/3rd/4th Generation -> Windows 7/8/8.1 -> 32bit or 64bit.
You'll have to figure out which CPU you have, then figure out which generation it is, and finding out if you are 32bit/64bit is pretty easy :).
If you have more Q's, you can come back here, and we can help further. Please go to START -> RUN, type in DXDIAG, and hit OK. List here what your Processor & Operating System are from the first page. If you could also list what is there for Name/Chip Type under Display 1/2 that would be very useful as well.

Does anyone know which of the shader packs listed actually work with OS x? Aside from Sonic's shaders mod, as that is listed as not compatible. Is it just Sildur's mod that is compatible?

If they have SEUS code, they probally won't. But any others will work. SEUS uses the latest in Shader tech, and OS X hasn't caught up yet.
Evidently your mod didn't add the proper texture maps for all those new items.....
Currently, you need to downgrade the driver for older versions. Actually says that in the first post, drivers section. Use guru3d.com
yeah, now I am using 14.7 RC3.
I tested 14.9 /14.9.1/14.9.2/14.11 all these and them all can't run 1.7.2 shader.
every time I done these,I always reinstall the older version.
I still think I need new driver to boost the performance in the game like BF4/watch dogs.
so I still hope there will be new 1.7.2 shader
By the way,AMD still provide older version like 14.7 RC3. just searching 14.7 RC3 and we can get into the AMD official site to download that.
So it mean you will no longer update the 1.7.2 version?
No, 1.7.2 is considered 'outdated' for everyone now. 1.7.10 is stable and we're approaching 1.8 soon. Check to see if your other mods are 1.7.10 compatible. If the developer actually works on it, it should be.
Since 1.7.2 is similar to 1.7.10. It does not take too long time to back port the compatibility fix.
However, this version has not been tested much. It may have other bug.

This is 1.8 development build screenshot.
I don't know why there are strange strips on some blocks.
The development build cannot run on normal game client, so don't ask for early access.
It needs some more work to convert it to a form that can be installed on user's machine.
Just to check, should I stay on Java 7 to remain compatible with this mod, or does Java 8 work as well?
[OS]: Windows 10 Pro [CPU]: AMD FX4300 @4.2GHz [RAM]: G.Skill 8GB DDR3 [GPU]: XFX R9 290

After install one of these driver,1.7.2 shader will crash. Does anyone have solution?
THX a lot
I saw the 1.7.10 version shader fix the problem, but 1.7.2 not.
But I suggest that still many user use 1.7.2,and most server plugin is developed for 1.7.2,so we all can't upgrade the server.
oh,I forgot to say that 14.7 RC3 is fine to run shader 1.7.2
Hoping there will have new shader with 1.7.2 and compatible with new AMD driver
(my graphics card is msi R9 270 gaming,AMD R9 270 chip)
