Unable to get this working. I went back to bone stock Minecraft 1.6.2. Launched Minecraft 1.6.2 vanilla to make sure it works and no prbolems. Ran the Forge Installer for 1.6.2 version 9.10.xxxxxx. Made a profile that uses 1.6.2_forge something or other and saved that profile, but when I click on play the game never loads and this is what is at the end of the console:

and the game never actually loads.
Everything that shows up above this part says [FINE].
that happens to me too. It seems to be a Forge/Magic Launcher bug than the mod's bug
If you use the Forge Installer (jar version), you don't need to mess with the profiles in the new MC Launcher..
Forge sets up a new profile, copies the MC JAR and adds in Forge, and does everything for you.
You get 2 profiles in the MC Launcher, Default (your MC ID) and Forge.
I am using the latest forge 9.10.0.818 without issues.
After that point, you shouldn't need to edit the JAR files, drop everything into the MODS folder..
EDIT: Just did a quick google search, everyone with that error was told to try a different version of Forge. If it helps, I started with forge 9.10.0.804 (recommended by LexManos)(using the installer), and upgraded to 818 using that installer. Using 804 I had all of my mods working, then did the upgrade before adding 2 other mods.
Yup, I saw that the newest one on their forums was 804 versus the 790 that I had downloaded a few days ago and with 804 its working just fine thanks!!
With the LB Realism 256 bit texture pack, Sildurs RC3 NV Medium shaders and this mod.....2FPS. Was kinda hoping my 2GB GTX650 Ti Boost, Phenom II X4 955 and 4GB of RAM would do better.

That card should run that pack decently. Try a 128x texturepack instead.

I'm using Sildur's AMD RC2.1 High on my AMD 6950 1GB (w/ unlocked shaders) around 15-20 FPS @ 1080p.. Found I had to turn off Advanced OpenGL otherwise I got flickering.. Playable at least, and it looks great!
Karyonix has a bunch of work to do before these releases aren't PRE anymore, I'm sure theres tons of optimizing, and definitely Optifine support coming back (which should be a big FPS boost).

It looks like your MC162 Forge install is corrupt, or you modded the JAR installing something else?

There has been CRITICAL TAMPERING WITH MINECRAFT, it is highly unlikely minecraft will work! STOP NOW, get a clean copy and try again!
Client> 2013-08-09 19:22:50 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] For your safety, FML will not launch minecraft. You will need to fetch a clean version of the minecraft jar file
Client> 2013-08-09 19:22:50 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] Technical information: The class net.minecraft.client.ClientBrandRetriever should have been associated with the minecraft jar file, and should have returned us a valid, intact minecraft jar location. This did not work. Either you have modified the minecraft jar file (if so run the forge installer again), or you are using a base editing jar that is changing this class (and likely others too). If you REALLY want to run minecraft in this configuration, add the flag -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true to the 'JVM settings' in your launcher profile.
Game ended with bad state (exit code 1)
I would back up your mods/saves, and dump the entire .minecraft folder. Download a fresh MC162, and run it original. Then use the forge installer, and run forge alone. Then add in Shaders, and run with forge/shaders. Then add in your mods again. Then add in your saves.

I had a similar problem as well. My Forge and minecraft jars were not corrupt and I tried downloading fresh ones multiple times. The only way I was able to bypass this was by adding the JVM argument it tells you to add to ignore the invalid certificates. However I did not try a complete wipe of my .minecraft folder, as adding the JVM argument worked.

Ahh, yes, that's true! Totally forgot that if you use the MC Launcher or MagicLauncher you need to add in a command!
Wait, no.. That's only if you use Optifine, which you cannot use with GLSL Shaders..
I had these arguments setup when I was using Optifine, but when I switched to the GLSL Shaders I removed them. I am not using them right now.
You can try adding the exception in to see if it resolves the issue.
This snippet is from the Optifine installation instructions:
Installation for Minecraft 1.6.2 with Forge
A. Easy
- Use the official launcher to download and start once Minecraft 1.6.2.
- Use the Forge installer to install Forge
- Use the official launcher to start once Minecraft with the Forge profile.
- Start Magic Launcher
- Click "Setup"
- Select Environment "Forge9.10.X.Y"
- Click "Add" -> select the OptiFine ZIP file
- Click "Advanced"
- In the field "Parameters" add "-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true"
- Click "OK"
- Login and play
B. Not so easy
(not working for Forge #780 and #781)
- Use the official launcher to download and start once Minecraft 1.6.2.
- Use the Forge installer to install Forge
- Go to the minecraft base folder (the official launchers shows it when you click "Edit Profile" as "Game Directory")
- Go in subfolder "Versions"
- Go in subfolder "Forge9.10.X.Y"
- Copy the files from the OptiFine ZIP file to "Forge9.10.X.Y.jar" as usual (you can use the 1.5.2 instructions for this) and remove the META-INF folder from "Forge9.10.X.Y.jar".
- Start the official launcher
- Select profile "Forge"
- Click "Edit Profile"
- Select the checkbox "JVM Arguments" and in the field next to it add "-Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true"
- Click "Save Profile"
- Click "Play" or "Login" to start the game. If only "Play Offline" is available, then log out and log in again to fix it.
Amazing work Sildur! Loving your shaders in MC162 !
Hehe thanks, actually just uploaded an another version, with a smoother water animation, like it was in 1.5.2, thanks to Karyonix for showing me up the new changes and a possible fix for 1.6.2!
Finally got it working with Forge #818. Turns out my issue was that Forge couldn't download two necessary files. Oops.

Gee, you're nice. I was just saying from what I've heard, not my own observations.
But next time search before posting.
Looks a bit suspicious, where did you get it from?
Keep up the amazing work Karyonix!

Absolutely, the problem is that he's using mods for MC152 in MC162..
