I use shaders with the GeForce GT 530 and an i7 - running minecraft with more ram can get me at most 12 fps (with SEUS standard v10) but is fine for Rudoplays or other less performance intense shader packs.

Is there a preview or any kind of version at all for 1.5.2 available that uses an Optifine version later than HD_U_D3? I'm fully expecting there not to be, b/c I'm sure if there was it would be on the OP. The issue is that version of Optifine jacks up ladders in the game. Is there a work-around for it that anyone is aware of, maybe a setting or something?

Glad to hear progress on the new updates. The only problems are that I primarily use Optifine which the new version has no support for, and the fact that I never used Forge before. I'll just stay on 1.5.2 for the time being.
Something not mentioned in this video:you must run Minecraft with Forge through the Mojang launcher once before running with Magic Launcher or trying to launch via Magic Launcher will only result in an error screen.
Can anyone suggest me any shaders which would run good on my laptop?
Here are me spec:
Brand : Acer Aspire v3-571G
Graphics card: Nvidia Ge Force 710M with 2 GB Dedicated VRAM.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6 GHz with turbo boost up to 3.2 GHz (quad core)
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Does anyone elses water seem to get little gaps in it? When it's at the high crest of the wave, a gap appears that runs down the surface of the water. It's a small effect, but REALLY annoying!
Here's a screenshot in case you don't quite know what I mean.
The preview version still needs more refining, especially the water. He will probably fix that in the next preview/the new final release.
Thanks dude.
I'm getting about 25-30 FPS with rudo plays.

Let me honest with you. No. I have a 7870 Overclocked to 1.2GHz and I'm barely getting by with 30FPS on Far and Fancy. But atleast you have a good CPU

Can't wait until the full release for this mod and christmas to get my gaming PC
Please don't tell me you're going to get a prebuilt gaming PC....
Also, Minecraft only runs on ONE video card.
Not good enough for playing. You can use it to take screenshots.
You need a fast NVIDIA GTX or AMD RADEON GPU.
They do this to many of my uploaded files.
I will upload next version to a different site soon.
I also get 30-40 FPS but with just normal render distance.
I will have to do some chunk-loading optimization, even without optifine.
What shader pack are you using?
The Snowbox Modded server with Flans mod, Archimedes Ships, MCHeli, PamsHarvestCraft and more!
Search the Technic platform for the modpack.
