Yeah... I've combed over the last 10 pages of this looking for a fix to a crash problem while attempting to use the shaders mod. First I got this Crash when I tried to create a new world to check that shaders were working properly and so that I could configure them. Loaded to title perfectly fine, no glitchy text, nothing, I then assumed that it may have been a problem with one of the other mods and attempted to create an entirely new instance, created a new world, and got this Crash, and despite attempting several of the fixes I've seen for problems on this post, the only other person who had this problem was somewhat ignored because he didn't use spoiler tags. So if someone could be kind enough to give me some assistance it would be appreciated.
Both crashes are very similar. Game fails whale trying to render a leaf block and tall grass respectively.
Nothing outright obvious what may be causing this.
What is obvious are your drivers. If I'm reading the versions right (which is a pain with AMD) you're using Catalyst 14.2, or even 13.12. We know AMD drivers are ... not top nothch usually and it's best to use older builds. But not THAT old.
Well, after updating the drivers I got the same exact crash unfortunately. Though from what some other devs I know said it may actually be the version of forge I'm using. However I'm attempting to use 2 mods that require a later version of forge to work than what this is supported by. Overall it seems the shaders mod may need an update, however I'm not entirely sure that the dev has the time for that.
Edit: Also thanks for letting me know about the driver update I tend to ignore it until someone tells me about major problems that occur, so they may fix some other problems I've had in other game ^.^;
I have tried using different resource packs, faithful, Chroma Hilla, even default, and they all look just like this, with slight differences. None of them are better or worse. I'm also getting extreme lag, I've also tried with and without Optifine, it's the same thing.
Here are my settngs:
NormalMap: On
SpecularMap: On
RenderResMul: 1.0000
ShadowresMul: 1.0000
HandDepth: 0.1250
CloudShadow: Off
OldLighting: Off
I'm using the shader pack: SEUS-v10.1-Standard.zip
1.8.8 version with optifine,working good with a lot of shader packs,but crashing with some shader packs,the crash log is same always: http://pastebin.com/yk57GZDh. Graphics card drivers updated to the latest,java updated,3gb of java allocated to the game.
Well,i enter a world,and go into settings and pick the shader pack,the game freezes,and after 5s i get a popup that says that java has stopped responding,i press close and i get that error that i posted in the launcher.

If your wondering this is the Error code for what I run when I try running this with any other mod (This one is Rei's minimap) and its plain stupid, I'm not blaming anyone but this mod is literally in-compatible with EVERY mod I have tried. Please help...
I don't know what they do but when I try to turn off both the NormapMap (I think that is misspelled in game?) and the SpecularMap my game just hangs. turning one off is ok but not both, what do they do? I was just curious about settings and turning things off and on... I am pretty sure by turning off NormalMap my FPS doubled but I can't confirm that right now as I'm waiting for the game to respond... also, I noticed the settings didn't save the last try, probably cause I forced close the game but that might be a thing to look into...

Well I tried it, and unfortunately it has given me an entirely new Crash. I'm not even new to the shaders mod, and I don't think I've ever had this much trouble using it EVER.

Could we possibly get that update for 1.8? because thats the version I've been running on and having every possible problem under the sun ^.^;
OptiFine F8 for 1.8 has a built-in support for shaders. It can not be used together with the Shaders mod.
I really wish there was a facepalm emote right about now. I installed optifine WITH the shaders because that is the suggestion that was made after my initial crashes, and installing new drivers, I suggest you read back on the previous page and see the 2 crashes I had PRIOR to adding optifine, and try to help me fix those then.
Edit: Also thanks for letting me know about the driver update I tend to ignore it until someone tells me about major problems that occur, so they may fix some other problems I've had in other game ^.^;
Maybe its optifine (because I don't know anything about coding)
Hey guys, In optifine, I cant find AA and AF. Please help me.
I thought I was talking to a guy who had problems with installing the mod.
Will do not a real big fan of optifine, but considering that I'm not using very many mods it may work out.
I have tried using different resource packs, faithful, Chroma Hilla, even default, and they all look just like this, with slight differences. None of them are better or worse. I'm also getting extreme lag, I've also tried with and without Optifine, it's the same thing.

If your wondering this is the Error code for what I run when I try running this with any other mod (This one is Rei's minimap) and its plain stupid, I'm not blaming anyone but this mod is literally in-compatible with EVERY mod I have tried. Please help...
click "edit profile", in the "JVM arguments" add "-Dfml.skipFirstTextureLoad=false" w/o quotes

Crashed any reason?

ShadersMod v2.3.31 Forge Edition for Minecraft 1.7.10 (updated 2015-11-16)
Download download page
Recent Change
- Fixed compatibility with Forge 1481-1566, OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_U_C1.
How to install (Forge Edition)
First, install forge.
- Use Minecraft Launcher. Make sure you have run Minecraft 1.7.10 at least once before installing Forge.
- Close Minecraft Launcher.
- Use Forge installer to install Forge.
- Open Minecraft Launcher and select Forge Profile (or new/edit profile and select a forge version).
- Click Play. Forge should create mods folder in game directory.
Next, install ShadersMod in mods fodler.
- Copy ShadersMod jar file to mods folder in game directory, so it will be loaded by Forge next time.
- If you want to install this together with OptiFine, also copy Optifine jar file to mods folder.
Test.
- Open Minecraft Launcher. Select Forge profile and click Play.
- Open Option screen. There should be Shaders button. Click it to open Shaders screen.
You also need shaderpack for use with this mod.
- Download and copy shaderpack zip file to shaderpacks folder in minecraft folder.
- You can select shaderpack in Shaders screen.
You have both OptiFine F8 and the Shaders mod.
OptiFine F8 for 1.8 has a built-in support for shaders. It can not be used together with the Shaders mod.
Thanks...
Could we possibly get that update for 1.8? because thats the version I've been running on and having every possible problem under the sun ^.^;
