Can anyone give me a hand and help figure out why the custom mob sounds for this sound pack aren't working? The files are there, and in the right place, I believe, but don't work in game. Minecraft only plays the default sounds for mobs in game.
Here's the download. It's for an updated version of the Last Days sound pack that I'm working on. Any help thrown my way would be fantastic, guys: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44178590/LAST DAYS.zip

The game freezes then crashes when I go into a multiplayer server, it works flawlessly on Singleplayer though. When I disabled Audiotori, the multiplayer will work fine, that shows that it is a problem from a mod. However there are no crash logs.
I have no idea where to start here, so I'll be direct; how can I make this mod work similar to the Sound Mod Enabler. I have a bunch of sounds of my own, but when I tried to put them in, they didn't work. I set up the sound3 folder the same way the normal sound3 folder is, but with the sounds I want in it, and it didn't play the other sounds. I figured I could use the Alpha sound pack, and just change things around in that, but it isn't working.

Sound packs for SoundModEnabler are normally zipped and work when zipped, but Audiotori will not work with zipped sound packs, that's pretty much the main difference:
You need to extract the zip files of the sound packs into the .minecraft/audiotori/ folder so that the directories look like this:
.minecraft/audiotori/<sound pack name>/sound3/
NOT like this: .minecraft/audiotori/<sound pack name>/<some other directory>/sound3/ .minecraft/audiotori/<sound pack>.zip

Actually, when Sound Mod Enabler was being updated (its been a long time since I played Minecraft), I was able to directly replace the sounds themselves. That's what I ment when I said I had my own sounds.
However, when you mentioned the bit about reading from zip archives, I had to remember that when I extracted the Alpha pack sounds, I extracted them to a folder. With 7zip, I selected "extract to blah," where blah is the name of the zip file. Thats why the thing didn't work.
Now I'm off to re-organize my silly sounds, since there were changes made to the sound folder since last I played at least half a year ago.
I successfully got the mod installed and working, (Alpha sounds, thank you Hurricaaane!) so I was just wondering if people had sound packs they liked.

this doesn't work for any modpacks on the FTB launcher. does anyone know a fix?
Stop being lazy
1. Find your FTB files
2. Locate your FTB modpack you use
3. Drop the mod unextracted into instamods
4. Press F9 and prove me wrong 0_o
Do it old fashion way before you complain.
For Soundpack
Follow steps 1&2 (from above [silly])
3.Go into a folder named minecarft
3.5.(Start the game once with the mod)
4. Look to the top and Open a folder called Audiotori
5. Drop your unextracted soundpacks into there (make sure when you open the soundpack (of your choice) folder you see an bunch of folder that look like "gibberish".
(Only If) If you see a bunch of folder but a folder with a similar name in the folder, take the 1 folder you see and drag it out
(Only if). Take the folder inside the folder that has a bunch of folders in it and drop that 1 folder into the folder Audiotori (I hope you rember the main folder we talk about 4 seconds ago)
Can you add a ablity where you can add custom sounds to a play along side the orginals. Exp: Burp~~Burp1 (a custom burp [ewww]) ----Hit1 Hit2 Hit3 Hit4~~Hit 5 (custom hit),Calm 1 Calm 2 Calm 3~~Clam 4(custom abient music) ect

or is that asking to much?
If you have files called hurt1.ogg, hurt2.ogg, and hurt3.ogg in the original Minecraft and you want to add sounds that play alongside them, create a sound pack with these filenames: hurt4.ogg, hurt5.ogg, hurt6.ogg (and so on, just change the number at the end)
It will magically do what you are describing. Well actually, it's not magic

When it comes to background music, just shove them into a sound pack in the music/ subdirectory, you don't need to rename them ( http://ha3.eu/public...l#exp_changelog r3 1.4.6 changelog notes).
Thank You! I was just wondering if that little trick work.
How can I play my own music? i did this ".minecraft/audiotori/sweden/music/C418 - Sweden (Caution & Crisis Remix).mp3" i had to make a new folder named sweden? anything? it seems to not work.
I really like this mod because now I can have my nazi zombie sounds pack I made again! =D
ahhh nothing like the sound of screaming zombies breaking into a villagers house. lolz.
