This mod adds a variety of minor game tweaks, as well as some major ones.
[Minor Tweaks]
1) Bookshelf fix, bookshelves are now placed with a direction, only showing books on front and back.
2) Torches now burnout after a LONG time, and can be relit in a furnace or with a flint&steel.
3) Added a right click function for shovels to allow for a "treasure hunting" mechanic
4) Animals drop bones with other parts... including mutton... skeletons now may drop skulls
5) The default minecraft game mode now behaves more like adventure mode... details below
[Major Tweaks]
1) Tool durability now decreases based on block breaking difficulty.
2) When breaking some more blocks, they drop parts, akin to glowstone dust.
3) Gold tools now have a purpose, they have an inherent fortune now.
4) Tools besides just pickaxes now have tiers... also sandstone and obsidian tools...
5) Added scythes hammers and a chisel... as well as core recipe changes
[Getting Started]
In the place of punching any block to break them, you start out as a scavenger or sorts.
The world around you provides sticks and rocks, as well as animal parts.
After you get your crafting table...
You're pretty well on your way to normal minecraft fun.
Remember that this mod places various obstacles in your way to give a greater challenge.
Planned
I plan on making desert and island survival easier.
There are still some recipes which haven't been converted.
Planning on making sticks and rocks appear on the ground has "blocks" and not found as items.
OLD VIDEO, some things added to this, some things removed from this
I LOVE the torch burning out idea. I think Notch wanted to have something in vanilla at one point, but decided against it. for you!
Notch wanted torches to burn out, and to have some permanent light source you would make using glowstone.
BUT so many people cried about it that he postponed it past the old Halloween update, and then eventually just gave up on the idea.
I added 1 thing to the idea that I don't think notch had, which was the flint relight.
Added that to make the whole idea seem more appetizing for some.
Here's an idea; make it so you need flint to make stone tools, and you can't make wooden pickaxes.
I had an idea that breaking stone/ore blocks dropped "Chunks", and the quality of your pick decided how many chunks the block would drop, and you need to combine 9 chunks to make the actual block. I don't know if that's too complicated for a tweak mod, but I think it'd be neat.
I just want a mod that makes the game a bit harder, man.

Hmm, the idea of 9 chunks is a good one.
For instance a gold ore block would drop nuggets based on the tier.
Stone would drop stones, which could be combined to make cobblestone [WHICH MAKES SENSE!]
It would leave the furnace less useful.
Although maybe the blocks wouldn't drop nuggets, instead they would drop ore-chunks, which would still require the furnace
I think stone tools should require smooth stone instead.
OR maybe use stone "chunks"
As for the problems with acquiring stone, I'm honestly not sure.
I could make flint tools for it.
Or make cobbleStone occur naturally and allow cobble to be the only stone harvested with wood-picks
I've decided my next project is to add so called "chunks"
I've created 10 new "nugget/chunk" sprites based on their parent block.
So far the list includes... [How many to make...] [Block made]
Dirt clod________[4] [Dirt Block]
Moss__________{Used to make many different moss related blocks}
Rock__________[9] [cobblestone]
Gold chunk_____{Smelted for gold nugget}
Iron chunk______{Smelted for iron nugget}
Diamond chunk__{Smelted for diamond}
Leaf___________[9] [Leaf Block]
Stone Brick_____[4] [Stone Brick Block]
Emerald chunk__{Smelted for emerald}
Iron Nugget_____[9] [Iron ingot]
Wow! I didn't expect you to take my idea. That's pretty cool c:
I also kind of wish armor degraded in quality as it got damaged (Kind of like it used to, but the armor starts out with the value they have now and slowly degrades from there instead of from max value)

I was at first unsure, but honestly it fit's in with the style of mod I'm going for.
I've read your forum post, you should link to my mod on your post ;D
As for the armor idea, I remember that minecraft armor used to work like that. Should be one of the easier mods I'll make... not sure though
I've already made the sprites for the 10 "chunks" I'm making.
I've finished the dirt clod and moss chunk.
Making blocks drop variable drops based on item-tier used will be next on my list.
Dude, if you have ANY other mod ideas, I'll gladly consider them.
After I looked over your forum posts, it seems we both want the same kind of minecraft
I also kind of thought it would make hunger a bit more difficult to maintain if food didn't stack as much. Steak and pork stacked up to 4, chicken and bread stacked to 8, melons and cookies stack to 16. It makes it so you have to be more careful about managing inventory and stuff :v

I plan on doing something like that already.
It's in my future plans tab
I don't just want to limit the stack size of food, I'm also thinking about nerfing all inventory.
Possibly to make way for a chest-pack or something.
Hey TheReasonWhyGuy!
I made a mod spotlight of 4 of the 6 mods you have in TweaKrafT! (mod-ception) Sorry I didn't quite understand the bookshelf, SugarFreeCookies showed it off better! Hope you thnk my mod spotlight is good : Link Removed
Can't wait for the ''chunk'' update of your mod! I'l certainly make a mod spotlight of it!
Thanks man
I'm about to release another mod.
Took me damn near a weak to finish!
What does the tool tier for items mean exactly? I don't think it's very well explained.
Pickaxes can harvest blocks, but some blocks require a certain level of pickaxe.
Obsidian requires diamond pickaxes, and diamond ore requires iron pickaxes.
That is what tools tiers are.
All I'm doing to applying them to shovels and axes.
Welcome to TweaKrafT

IKR?
I've always hated the DUMB restriction placed on chest.
Why the heck not allow the crafting of double chests?
Well that's my plan!
Oh and in case you're worried, the mod doesn't destroy any existing chest.
It autosplits them

I hope you try it out
Always thought picks shouldn't be the only block which benefited from their material beyond just speed/durability.
HEY GUYS
This post if sinking into the abyss.
I need your help to keep it from falling to the back of the forum. <3
It takes a LONG time for a few torches to even show 1 burnout.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO MAN <3
But you missed the part where you get sticks from leaves now >.>

Thanks for the update man
You could also break the leaves and get the same number of sticks.
You just can't be in creative mode

Always love your mod reviews.
Dat texture pack
Your mod review was GREAT.
I've fixed the sticks dropping with damage value problem.
Was a dumb glitch
