Quick question though, I logged in today and got a message saying Biomes O' Plently 0.9.3 is now available for 1.5.2. I can't seem to find the download.. Is this a little bug?
Also, thank you for keeping Minecraft 1.5.2 up to date so far. That is so kind of you. I know I am probably in the minority now, but I really don't want to update just yet, so getting these updates for my 1.5.2 is truly outstanding! Thank you!
Quick question about that too: With patch 0.5.8, do biomes actually generate up to 256 blocks high or is that something you still need to code? You meant that they are allowed to go that high now, but won't necessarily generate that high yet?
I don't know if it is a bug and if it has already been reported but redrock cobblestone stairs, and redrock bricks stairs instant break when you hit them with your hand (left click). And I was in survival.
I have a suggestion. Is it possible to make it so that cactus spawns in the Dunes and/or Lush Desert biomes as well? As I was traveling around on the back of my dragon, I past a few desert-like biomes and not once found any cactus. I know vanilla deserts are still generating even with BoP, but they seem to appear much less often. I'm sure I'll happen upon a vanilla desert any day now, but this is just something I've noticed. I used to prefer to live in Desert biomes so coming from that viewpoint, I don't think cactus should unintentionally made rarer than it actually is.
Though then again... someone could argue that the giant flowers of the Garden biomes should spawn elsewhere as well in the world... (this statement was me thinking out loud), but I would disagree to that.
Well anyway, there's my two cents, but it's your call in the end. Either way, I'm gonna keep using BoP cause man oh man do I like exploring these biomes.
Cacti don't spawn in the dunes on purpose. It's just supposed to be sand, and the little sprouts/dune grass.
We're going to be adding some new villagers that sell different materials, like logs, plants, etc. So players can either choose to explore to get the materials they need, or pay up.

What the hell do you mean by 'biome type'? If you mean biome IDs, look in the config file located in your .minecraft/config/biomesoplenty.
I meant i want to combine lord of the rings with the mod but you have to separate the biome type or The Lord of the rings dimension will be in the real world

That's a biome ID conflict or a dimension ID conflict or both ( I don't use LOTR so I'm not sure which maybe both) but either way these can be changed via the config file. Go to your .minecraft folder and look at the configs. Open with notepad and change what needs changing.(Open both configs to see which ID's are matching and change one or the other)
I'm sure Its already been asked, but I dont know where to get the gems to make the ancient staff; and they are not present in the creative mode inventory. Someone please help!

They are biome specific. Take a look at the spoiler under 'Description' on the 1st page.
Apparently in this version or the one before that, puddles dried up quicker. I am finding they are still swamping my world. XD I would highly recommend nerfing them to dry up within 2 minecraft days. Or even 1 minecraft day. Also, I love the blindness inducing spiders. =P

This can be fixed via the config file. Just open your .minecraft/config and find the 2 mods configs (mist of rioV and Bop) and change the ID to something else not used by any other mod. It is wise to glance through both configs and make sure nothing else is identicle or you will crash on everyone

Thank you, but I am still confused. Why don't the gems show up in the creative mode inventory? Before I possibly spend 3 hours looking for them in the biomes, are they supposed to be in the creative mode inventory? because if so, I may have an ID conflict

They are in my creative inventory. (under searchable items aka. the 'compass')
Thank you; You have just confirmed I have a problem. They do not show up in my creative inventory. I have some other mods that add Items to the game, like bibliocraft. Would this be the result of an ID conflict?

Not sure, I use bibliocraft and 60 others that add plenty to the game without any issues. Are all other blocks listed? You are just missing the gems only?

well, what bothers me most is that mo creatures and biomes o plenty adds so much to the game, If I was missing more blocks, I'd wouldn't know it
