Really cool idea you can add in the future (possibly? maybe?) is like a superflat generator specifically for this mod, where you can choose what biome you want the world to be? That or a cheater button where you can choose what biome you want to spawn in at the beginning, (Or you can make it creative specific).
I'm asking because I have some really neat ideas for villages/towns/cities/whatever that are in specific biomes but they're usually kind of hard to find even in creative mode (especially the tropical islands), and it's a bit counter-immersive when there's another biome (especially when it's almost the exact opposite of the biome I'm trying to build in) just a short walk away. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do this with the settings I have now.
There is a command to teleport to biomes you know. /bop tpbiome *biomename* (Use underscores for spaces)

Could you give one example? Maybe I do something wrong. I tried many times with many biomenames (like /bop tpbiome Bog, or /bop tpbiome bog), and always get: "Couldn't find biome Undefinied".
MC: 1.10.2, BoP 1.10.2 - 5.0.0.2078.

Right, forgot to mention the most important part. You have to preface biome names with "biomseoplenty:" (without quotations)

Right, but what I'm asking for is the ability to make a superflat where the whole thing is one biome, specifically any biome from this mod. Either that or world presets like in the vanilla customizeable world settings. An option to spawn in a specific biome upon start might be a little too much to ask for.
Because, as I said previously:
they're usually kind of hard to find even in creative mode
and it's a bit counter-immersive when there's another biome (especially when it's almost the exact opposite of the biome I'm trying to build in) just a short walk away.
Being able to teleport to biomes with that command is convenient, but a lot of the time the biome I'm trying to get to is too far away (Out of the 10,000 block range.) and the biome finder has the same range so it's not any more useful.
So I'm trying to configure a biome, Forstride or anyone who knows how to write .json files, can you correct what I'm doing wrong?
I'm just using a text file in notepad and entering
# Configuration file
{
"Variation": 0.5,
}
and naming it alps.json. No error is given when a world loads but the variation in height is not changed. What am I doing wrong? This is on the latest BoP version for 1.10.2.
Is it possible to get clay when you're in a BOP Archipelago world?
I've never stopped playing with TiC since I discovered it because it's so awesome, so I need a butt load of sand, gravel and clay. I've managed to find plenty of sand and gravel so far, but I'm having trouble finding clay.
Is anyone getting block/entity lag when near a Redwood Forest (or any tall trees) biomes? I don't know which mod is causing it (i.e., right when starting a fresh world), but I'm going with the usual suspects on the sources of lag. I'm also playing with large biomes, so that may factor in, too. I've attached my modlist.
Does someone know of a good looking resourcepack for this mod? Only found PureBDCraft and I don't like the cartoon look. I prefer playing with Gerdoku or something like that but anything better than the default one would be nice too^^.
Soartex Fanver. I'm using it in the Direwolf20 1.7.10 FTB modpack, and used it in the 1.6.4 Direwolf20 pack. Both packs contain BoP and are supported by Soartex.
I've been playing in a 1.8.9 World with Biome's 'o Plenty and a slew of other modes (Most notably Thaumcraft 5)
And I've run into several oasis biomes, but have not seen any Palm trees. I have yet to come across a tropical island, but I'm wondering if there could be some other problem with palm trees showing up.
Where could I go to start investigating this issue?
I am using Biomes o Plenty for 1.10.2, and I have not ever found an Ocean Monument. Are these allowed to spawn when using world type BIOMESOP? All I find are Deep Ocean after Deep Ocean full of nothing but coral reefs.
ok I'm playing in the 1.10.2 version and I cannot find Shale or Limestone anywhere outside of the creative menu, was it removed? I cannot find the information about it anywhere.
I've found persimmons dropping from dying trees (which amusingly also drop dying tree saplings )
I think persimmons also come from autumn saplings. Haven't seen pears yet, though, and I have grown and harvested a few willows.
I'm getting a wierd thing with leaf drops, but I'm not sure if it's BOP because it also affects vanilla trees: Decaying or normally-broken leaves drop saplings and fruit as normal, but if cut with shears, they drop both leaf blocks and saplings/fruit. However if broken with a silk touch tool, they drop nothing!
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

It works Thank you very much, @janskydunbird
Better take the numbers from .minecraft\config\biomesoplenty\biome_ids.json.

I have a bug. Sunflowers look like tallgrass as it says in the top part of the picture.

Yes, both methods work:
/bop tpbiome biomesoplenty:biomename
/bop tpbiome biomeid
Best regards

Yes, These are. Tell you more: sometimes spawn under ground :

Great mod
In the 1.10.2 version, are peaches or persimmons obtainable? Or are they like pears and drop from some random tree rarely?
I'm not sure about persimmons, but I know that peaches drop from Jacaranda trees. And pears from willow trees.
can biome o plenty and extra biomes xl combine in 1.7.10
I think persimmons also come from autumn saplings. Haven't seen pears yet, though, and I have grown and harvested a few willows.
