Healing and buffing spells are already a part of the spell list, though they're not really associated with "light" magic, per se.
You have your standard heal self and heal other, regeneration buffs, but then there's also a couple spells I have in the works, a Smite spell and one called Resplendent Circle. Some of these might be able to thematically relate to a Paladin.
This makes sense, but if you were to add something like Light associated spells, then you would have to add a few other elemental associated spells to balance it out, and also considering that this is a magic mod, purely towards arcane based/mage based spells.

Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.

Next, about the rune recipes. Do you plan on only getting one blank rune per recipe, or perhaps more? I know that cobblestone isn't exactly rare, but it can be a pain to mine 6 bits for a single rune that fits in your hand. My suggestion would be to make it so that you get multiples. Perhaps, 1 for each cobblestone in the recipe. Takes 6 cobble in the recipe, gives 6 blank runes for usage. Just a suggestion. Also, I hope it wasn't already suggested.
Which leads me to my next suggestion... A list on the OP of suggestions made. Suggestions you plan on adding, suggestions you're considering, and suggestions you're not going to add/consider.

True, but there are already several elemental spells (ice, fire, lightning, arcane, healing, etc.) - but from a thematic perspective, I more see it as conjuring light rather than holy magic. It really comes down to how you choose to perceive it. I never really intended to limit it to only arcane magic. There are some dark-themed spells in the works too.
You can enable/disable spells entirely via the config file anyways, so if a spell doesn't fit your theme, you can just take it out.

There is a spell that more or less does that, called Shockwave. It does everything you described save for ripple the ground, and affect aim. However, it is more centralized knockback, whereas this seems more to me like a knock up effect. I do like the aim effect for PvP though...
The suggestions are great for the time being, if I think of anything else, I will let you know.

Turn night and turn day. They should be able to switch times
so people wouldn't have to sleep.
I'm hesitant to allow the skipping of night without sleeping. I think I might implement these spells as part of the ritual system, which is a more advanced casting mode that requires multiple people, and several seconds of channeling. It just seems to OP otherwise. Either way, it would be an end-game spell.
*The ritual system is not a part of the initial release, and will be added at a later date.
I would like to become a beta tester for this mod. There are two spells that I would like to suggest to you. The first one is:
Fire Wyrm, it is a projectile spell that locks on to target and deals fire damage over time after it hits. It is in the shape of a worm when casted, and will go straight through you dealing massive damage.
Spell number two is:
The Third Degree, all fire around you on the ground, is picked up and absorbed into your spell. (Draining more mana if there is more fire being absorbed) When it launches out of the scroll, it goes into the sky and spreads out into a fiery rain on your opponents.
I am going to work on a mage tower soon, but it is not finished presently. I hope you take my spell ideas into consideration. This is a really great looking mod that I look forward to using.
Mithion, make a spell called Tempest. It would make a tornado with a.... shocking, effect. it would possibly cause rain and pick up dropped blocks and mobs.
Also make a spell called Mana Pulse. It will take all of your mana, and depending on how much you have, it will increase the damage and radius. It should also knockback small mobs.
Hi i would like to try out to be a beta tester and i know 2 spells that would be good to use. First up you can name this one yourself but you can summon your own human that has a guard skin with a iron or stone sword with iron armor and he or she stays until they die.
Next spell is god tools they are better then diamond tools but have a lower durability. The sword should do 6 or 5 hearts of damage or how many you want. If this is to hard just tell me but i hope i can be a beta tester. Thanks

Also i have one more idea of a spell Its called elemental tornadoes. So it costs 15 mana because its a high powerful spell. So it can be random or you can make all of them into there own spells. First one is fire tornado it sends a mini tornado shooting fire in a small or large fashion crushing some blocks and mobs in its way (You can decide if you want it to destroy blocks) Then there is water ice or snow and vortex. So i bet you know about everyone except Vortex. Vortex is a black and purple mini tornado that sucks things up and shoots them into the sky with poison. (I know that is way to over powered so you dont have to add it if you dont want to) Thanks if you look at these spells.

aoe, high-level endgame, when it hits an entity sets it on fire, works as a lightning effect, immobilizes them for a few seconds.
When it hits a block, destroys it, converts sand to glass, maybe creates snow or fire.

BTW this mod looks so awesome and i think it got's really potential, maybe later you would allow MC port Central to port it to bukkit does bukkit server can use it as well ?? Would be an owesome plugin for bukkit as well Love this so far...
