The gun mod is cool, it fits into vanilla Minecraft surprisingly well. It's well balanced, too. The only problem is that if you kill someone without armor, or get a one hit kill, you may crash.

When I try to use JUST adventure kit on my SMP server it tells me I'm missing something called net.Minecraft.src : 1.0. I can use the Adventure kit just fine on my SSP but not SMP....
Now I'm using lots of other mods but when I started taking them out one by one to check what the problem was yours was the culprit. This mod is so amazing I would really rather have it in the game, Is this a solvable issue or am I SoL?

Your gun mod is good, as it's not that complicated AND it doesn't conflict with things. However, the guns are a little glitchy and you should try to add the bow animation to them so it actually look like someone is aiming them.

Would it be possible to post previous versions of the Simple Gun mod? I am attempting to back-date my minecraft, and this is the only mod I forgot to download at the 1.2.5 version.

There seem to be some ID conflicts here. It should have generated a config file, so change them there to fix it. There might be more problems, so if you have good IDs and it still crashes, tell me and I'll look into it.
EDIT: Hm, yeah. I just tested a server with only my mods installed and it gave me an error. I'll fix it and update the download.
EDIT Again: With further testing, it seems like Adventure Kit's SMP is still broken as well. Fixing...
3rd and final EDIT: Fixed and updated the downloads for both mods. Redownload them and it should work.
I've fixed SMP bugs for both main mods, but being lazy I didn't release it as an official new version. If your version doesn't connect to a server and you know it's not an ID conflict, you have the old version. Redownload it and try again.
