Anyone know what happened to Rei's minimap Mod? I can't find it here anymore.
The last stable version for Rei's Minimap is for 1.6.4. The author tweeted out a beta for 1.7.2, but that was posted on December 2013 and happens to be the last tweet. It's highly probable that it won't be updated.
For alternatives, JourneyMap should be able to import Rei's Minimap waypoints.
At what point does this thread usually decide to switch to newer versions? Even with the tags, manually finding all 1.8 mods is currently a major PITA.
We list 1.8 mods already. The thread title probably won't be updated until Forge 1.8 is out of beta, though, and ZeroLevels has been away for some time.

No new mods out for 1.8 in a week? Or was the list just not updated? I hope the later, but it realy feels like the mod development has slown down a lot in the last 6-8 months. Also many modders left moding minecraft I think.

Quite a few mods should be out within the next few months. Once I'm finished with igneous additions' first gold release, I'll help mineshopper port carpenters blocks to 1.8 - by then hopefully other mod authors will be updating, too

It's very much the list. You might have noticed we sometimes add 100+ mods at once. Porting to 1.8 takes time, you'll see a lot of mods sooner or later.

We don't get rid of old lists. The site has lists for 1.8, 1.7.10, 1.7.2, 1.6.4, 1.5.2, 1.4.7, etc.
