How about an Aqua Aspect enchantment for the sword? Boosting damage vs fire based mobs(Blazes, Magma Cubes, and perhaps the Ghast(not that this one is needed, as they die in one hit anyway most of the time, but I guess it would make it a sure thing)?), with perhaps a max ranked one even able to solidify lava on right click with the sword at the cost of durability(Not that OP, just saves you the inventory slot of a water bucket).
If you don't mind I would like to add to this idea, how about Aqua Aspect on a pick aswell that allows you to mine at normal speed under water and instead right clicking on the lava with the sword to turn it into obsidian have it on the pick.
Also, how about a double jump enchantment but it requires at least a level 40 enchantment.
Would this work with the enchanting in the cheat-pack mod?
Yes it should. You could probably choose the enchantments from the menu, if the programmer made the system generalizable, rather than hard coding the values.
Could you add an enchantment on the bow where lightning strikes where ever it is shot as long as it is on the surface?

I'd prefer to implement unique ideas that haven't yet been done before, over those that have.

The only problem with Aqua Aspect on pick as you said, is that it is already provided in headgear in the form Aqua Affinity, except for the lava freezer part.

Lightning can strike everywhere(As is proof of Lightning Creepers from the Elemental Creepers mod working just fine deep underground). It just is NATURALLY on the highest block. But a good idea for an Elemental weapon enchantment(could also work for swords quite well, as well as it giving lightning immunity to the user perhaps to prevent back damage?).
Just working with these ideas for elemental enchantments for sword/bow, perhaps one that spawns a mini-tornado for sword/bow that makes the mob spin in place when hit for a moment, and replace that slow one with an Ice Enchantment that does the same thing.
And then limit all of these to one elemental enchantment per weapon.
And one last enchantment idea. Perhaps one called Double Edge, that makes it so that every time you attack, it deals damage to you, BUT deals much enhanced damage to the target, like .5 hearts to you, +4 hearts to the mob.
Waiting for this to be updated to 1.3.1 looks awesome.
What about a shock-wave enchant on swords and bows? Damages mobs up to 2 blocks away (Goes up by 2 every level)

how about a light sword enchant? it calls down lightning.. but destroys any BLOCKERS in the path of where you hit... and doesnt return the blocks it destroyed

Well good sir/maam wait no longer. Mod is fully updated for 1.3.1 and now supports LAN servers as well.
Furthermore, for your patience, I've added 3 more bow enchantments to the mod:
5. SHARPSHOOTER (ID 74)
Arrows you fully charge moves at double the speed, unaffected by gravity
(until you fire another arrow/deselect bow).
Great for sniping from afar.
6. HOMING - Upgrade from SharpShooter
Two modes of fire:
Tracker mode: Arrows you fully charged, home in on the surface point that you stare at (whether a block, or on a mob). Ignores transparent blocks.
(until you fire another arrow/deselect bow).
Seeker mode (Hold crouch): Arrows home in on mobs you stare at (flying straight otherwise, and active until you fire another arrow/deselect bow).
7. SPLASH SLOWNESS (ID 83)
Creates a splash potion effect that slows down most monsters/players for upto 5 seconds.
Decrease in speed=10%+10% per level;
Use this enchantment carefully, if you're caught in the radius, you'll be slowed down by the maximum amount.
I've also reprogrammed Counter Parry to do more damage or reflected arrows and to become alot more intuitive to use.

i installed all the mods (modloader, player API, and more enchantments, all 1.3.1) but it always crashes saying modloader has failed. can i get help on this. please and ty.

Did you delete Meta_INF folder from Minecraft? That's usually the problem.
