Can anyone provide a config file with MUCH lower spawnrates? I adjusted mine quite lower and I still see quite a few every chunk. Could this have anything to do with the fact that its only one player on?

If you lowered it in the config already, there's not much else to change. I use 1/4 of the spawn rate and it's fine here, since I don't use any other mob adding mod. I later halved the already lowered value for Centaurs and Satyrs, since they're passive and spawn in groups, they tend to accumulate to high numbers even with low spawn rates.
It has boss monsters. That's what the Minotaur, Vampire, and anything with 100 health are.
I can't look them as Bosses... I think there are common storongest monsters. Simply, I think bosses have a Health bar, and only one in specialized space(Ex:Enderdragon) or summoned by player(Ex:Wither).
Have you at all considered making the assist and passive mobs tamable. I like that abundance of mobs but it sucks not having the ability to tame any of them at all. Or maybe killing the bosses/minibosses can drop mini tame versions of themselves that fight with you or something.

If you read back a bit you could note that it has been asked many times and been answered many times. He looked into it but it was too advanced.
Maybe in the future.

I honestly rarely read through pages of posts as it takes some time to do. However i will say it would be a good idea to do an FAQ section with that stuff in it. I had read that he was not good on super advanced AI though i wonder if he could partner with someone to be able to do it. If i knew more about programming i'd probably join the modding community so i know how complex it is. Though yes that was on me for not reading into pages of comment to not see it's already been asked. >.> besides i'm still on 1.7.10

Well Me and Wiggles were the ones that helped Silentine with porting to 1.8.9.
At the moment I am dealing with finals and exams, if I weren't I would be looking into it and try to implement it.

@silentine @mybysco Are you interested in making a custom mob mod for 1.8.9-1.9? If nothing else these could be added to your mod, and they can be configurable to not spawn if the player did not want Harry Potter themed mobs.
You've awoken on this barren wasteland planet, a civilization once ruled and proud, but where is everyone? All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.
skip 1.9.4 an go straight to 1.10 imho, but if it happens it does, otherwise i may have to hammer into learning java
I will be looking in updating to 1.9.4 first. Mostly because the conversion from 1.9.4 to 1.10 is currently fairly simple. Also 1.10 forge is still very experimental afaik.
Currently I have 1 exam left and after that my vacation starts so I will have all the time to look into helping port it.

Just wanted to wish you luck on that exam! ;o;/
And also a thanks for considering such things.
If I might support updating to 1.9.4 first? A lot of mods are still not up to 1.10, and some modders have said they'll be skipping over 1.10 entirely because the next few updates have been officially declared to be very incremental, so if you skip over 1.9.4, then suddenly it's an annoying choice for people, whether they want to use this mod, or other mods. Conversely, if you stop by 1.9.4 before going to 1.10, people can still use this mod with their other favourites until those favourites update.
Mods can support 1.9.4 and 1.10 in the same mod version.

22 pages of mods for 1.10.2 vs 10 pages for 1.9.4 on Curse. Forgecraft is on 1.10.2 and moving right along...

Thats actually the good way to go about it looking over everything thats around presently, unless its a core mod then basically majority of anything coded to work fully in 1.9.4 works in 1.10.2, but i am very excited to see what becomes of this mod for the future.

Probably, it's been some time, but I remember it having lots of functions back then, like helper NPCs and conversation options.

It could generate a configuration file that will have spawn-rate/denial of spawning/taming and the chance of which you can tame it.
For example the player will have to crouch/sneak for x amount of seconds, and there will be a set chance it will be tame-able.
Poltergeist
Dementor
Puffskein (could basically be a pink slime, same ai, but no slime sounds)
Acromantula (just vanilla spider, but named Acromantula)
Centaur
Thestral
Troll
Basilisk (boss, no spawn-rate, just a spawner/command spawn/ and egg spawn)
Merfolk
Inferius (vanilla zombie renamed)
Dragon(s)
I really hope this wonderful mod makes it to 1.9.4

Hi! I really love your mod and you did put a lot of work to it!
But is it possible to run this mod in Minecraft 1.8? I wanted this mod to be compatible for Minecraft 1.8
Mods can support 1.9.4 and 1.10 in the same mod version.

The wiki says the Cobble Golem is an Assist mob, but what does that mean?

They work like Zombie Pigmen, I believe.
