I am having the exact same problem, is there a new item that was added in 0.8.08 that was forgot to be put in the configs?
Update:
I got it, had to delete the Factorization config, remove AM2, and let factorization make a new config to allow the new config to generate. The update it to the old Ids and change the new ids to not conflict.

This mod may be used in modpacks under the following conditions:
1. There is a post in this thread that the mod is being used in a modpack. If it is a public modpack, then it must include the pack's name and the website or URL where the modpack can be found. If it is a private modpack, then mention this in your post. (I would like the post to contain also a description of the modpack and an estimate of the number of users, but this isn't necessary.)
2. The modpack must include in it a text file, or something similar, listing for each public mod: the name of the mod, the mod's author, and the mod's website or forum thread.
As per the License, I am posting to say that I intend on using this mod in a private modpack that I am creating for about 15-20 people. The modpack's intention is to be a more minimal pack without a lot of 'fluff'. Plus I am running the server and I really like this mod
Can you still exclude inventories in the router? I've tried using ! and | in the machine filter and in the config and it isn't working. If i use ! or | in the machine filter fx !hopper the router stops working. And the config option seems does nothing.
Anyone know what "retrogenKey" does, or what options it takes?
I'm guessing that retrogenKey is like what happens in ThaumCraft's retrogen: a unique identifier that can be used to tell whether retrogen has been applied to a given chunk. Changing the key would then result in the retrogen running again, useful if you've changed retrogen settings (e.g. if you ran once with those settings, but then changed silver to "true" and wanted to regen that).
That's only a guess, though, and I have no idea what valid options would be beyond that the S denotes a string value.
After running Retrogen for Dark Iron on a test world...How rare is this stuff supposed to be? Retrogen shows up in the server logs but I can't seem to find the stuff, even when running a quarry.
O goodly Neptunepink, did I miss a changelog post for 0.8.08? I don't see one anywhere. What's new?
changelogs are in the jar, just like they've always been:
anti-spammy spoiler:
0.8.08
Antinerfed recipes for sprockets & robot arms
0.8.06
Added Dark Iron Ore:
Found around Y=4; watch for changes in the bedrock
Wrath fire can no longer be created; the igniter will hang around for crafting wrath lamps
Can be ore-processed in the usual manner
Servos break themselves when not on a rail
Item Shifter:
Added the Item Shifter Control instruction
Multi-mode; it may pop an integer from the argument stack
The 'transfer limit' is now an exact amount of items to transfer

items that have durability, such as wrath igniters, will be re-used as much as the other crafting materials permit
crafts up to max 32 items at once instead of 16
Sockets:
These are blocks that you shove specialized tools into
The Lacerator:
Combination mob/player grinder, (ore) Grinder, and block breaker

I have a crash to report. While I have been messing around in creative with this update, I was more than eager to try the lacerator. The issue is that when a block is placed in the lacerator's 'chew' zone, the game will crash once it begins to actually affect the block. I include the crash report and a list of mods I am using to help who ever can help me with this issue

I left the enderman to observe and emulate the steves, I want to know more about them. Wish me luck.
I am running a private pack called "XTech" for my friends who'd like an easier way to install all the mods, and an even easier way to distribute the mods to other friends I would like to establish as "members" to my server.
We include a spreadsheet with a link to all permissions, and we note who the maker of the mod is as well!
Can you still exclude inventories in the router? I've tried using ! and | in the machine filter and in the config and it isn't working. If i use ! or | in the machine filter fx !hopper the router stops working. And the config option seems does nothing.
Well, it should be "!container.hopper" not "!hopper"; you have to use the unlocalized name. It tries to localize the name before showing the result; it's not really the best-implemented of features. It was indeed broken, and'll be fixed in the next release.
After running Retrogen for Dark Iron on a test world...How rare is this stuff supposed to be? Retrogen shows up in the server logs but I can't seem to find the stuff, even when running a quarry.
Dark Iron Ore is found at bedrock level. Mine at Y level 4 or 5. If you find an area where the bedrock goes away, then you are near a node.
That's pretty weird, and shouldn't be possible.
EDIT: Okay, the issue is that forge 945 broke the FakePlayer; use an earlier forge.
Dark Iron Ore is found at bedrock level. Mine at Y level 4 or 5. If you find an area where the bedrock goes away, then you are near a node.
I ran a quarry, so I would have mined to bedrock...granted I only tested a single chunk, but I got half a dozen emeralds and diamonds, so it appeared that Dark Iron Ore is more rare than them.
Several folks I have spoken to are having the same problems which deal with updating existing config files after the 0.8.08 version. What happens is that the items section of the configs doesn't get updated properly. The solution seems to be to delete the config, remove AM2 (don't ask me why) and then let it create a new config file. (If you create a new config file with AM2 installed no items are added to the new config file).
Obviously this isn't what I would call a normal update process for config files. Once you get that done of course you have to go back, re-add AM2 and then adjust your config file so your existing world doesn't get messed up. Someone said they could get around it by renaming Factorization so it loads before AM2. Again, a work around at best.
Just wanted you to know that config generation doesn't appear to be working properly. Tried it with the 0.8.09 version and same problem exists.
Thats is because both the factorization and AM2 use many of the same IDs. The conflict causes the crash thus the configs do not update.
The fix is not that hard, pull out am2, generate the configs, shut down, and change the four or so items that conflict, then add am2 back in. You don't need to load up your world so you won't lose anything.
I am pretty aware of how to fix ID conflicts since I support a config pack that has 170+ mods. The issue here isn't just an ID conflict. The issue here is that Factorization is having problems properly updating it's config file if AM2 is installed. Removing mods, rebuilding configs and then resetting ID numbers isn't the normal process for creating/updating config files. What you are suggesting is a work around at best. But thanks for your input.
If neptunepink thinks this is working properly, well then I guess that is the way it is gonna work, but I at least want him to be aware.
I tried to look around for a solution but I couldn't exactly find one so I'm asking here.
the new lacerator only makes dirty iron gravel or netherack slag. I'm currently going through configs to see if there is a mixup somewhere but so far no luck.
Side note: one copper ore actually turned into apatite ore, not sure what mod the copper is from though.
EDIT\UPDATE: using a barrel works fine, placing the blocks however returns the wrong blocks

Please report this to its Modauthor for a fix. If nothing proper is found, a good suggestion for its Name would be 'factorization:sludge' don't forget to insert the ':' inbetween the Mod ID and OreDict Name, that is the most important part.

That's a false bug. It's from GregTech. You can very safely ignore it.
Hope this is the right place to post this if not my apologies.
On the small server I admin we're using the recommended 1.1.3 version of the FTB Unleashed pack and ran into a bug/problem yesterday. All the sudden I can't interact with any of my barrels. It doesn't matter if they're being filled by a router or by me manually all I can do is find out how many items are in it. Oddly enough items can still be put into them. I've restarted the server and client multiple times and the problem still exists. Noting appears in the server log either when I try to access the barrels.

Yeah! I hate that so much. Must fix...
Well, it should be "!container.hopper" not "!hopper"; you have to use the unlocalized name. It tries to localize the name before showing the result; it's not really the best-implemented of features. It was indeed broken, and'll be fixed in the next release.
Dark Iron Ore is found at bedrock level. Mine at Y level 4 or 5. If you find an area where the bedrock goes away, then you are near a node.
Ah! Thought I'd fixed that...
That's pretty weird, and shouldn't be possible.
EDIT: Okay, the issue is that forge 945 broke the FakePlayer; use an earlier forge.
I ran a quarry, so I would have mined to bedrock...granted I only tested a single chunk, but I got half a dozen emeralds and diamonds, so it appeared that Dark Iron Ore is more rare than them.
The fix is not that hard, pull out am2, generate the configs, shut down, and change the four or so items that conflict, then add am2 back in. You don't need to load up your world so you won't lose anything.
Digital Reality Private Pack - 200+ Mods, Dedi Server
If neptunepink thinks this is working properly, well then I guess that is the way it is gonna work, but I at least want him to be aware.
the new lacerator only makes dirty iron gravel or netherack slag.
That's a false bug. It's from GregTech. You can very safely ignore it.
